    I've just spent the afternoon fixing blinds for a friend and the job was made a lot easier having watched your tutorial last night. You pointed out a couple of things that were not included in the actual instructions that came with the blinds. What a great resource youtube can be.

    Hey guys, you just saved me a bunch of money. I had vertical blinds that were custom cut for my living room window in my condo. But then we had those 40-year-old windows replaced. Problem was, the new windows jutted in from one of the end walls by an additional inch, rendering the rails useless (too long). With your how-to video, I figured out how to cut one of the rails and now I can put the original verticals back in place. Thanks!

    Continuation...3/4. The rest of the tools I had. So in all I spent $120 and it was still way worth than paying $600 just only for the blinds. The blinds look magnificent. Many many thanks to the two of you for putting this video together. I am sure it has helped countless of people just like me. If I would suggest that if this video is also posted under like" How to cut/narrow down width of vertical blinds". Continued .......

    Continuation...2/3 The rep also said that she had a few customers who said that they customized the blinds themselves. So I decided to research on youtube and after a little search lo and behold I came accross your video. I cannot tell you how much your video helped my son and I to custom cut the blinds and intall them. I even went and purchased the tools you used in the video and it was a breeze. I spent a total of $75 for 3 blinds, $40 for a Ryobi cutter + nose pliers for $5. continued....

    I used "Hampton Bay" blinds and this video was great. I suspect all the cheap blinds with different names are built in the same factory in China. Thanks again.

    Hi John & Shirley, Thank you so much for your demonstration. I went to Home Depot in Toronto, thinking that I would get approximate sizes for my 3 windows. The largest being 62.5" wide and the other 2 at 22.5" wide each. But the smallest width they had was 66" and prices ranging from $25 to about a $100 depending upon sizes. I checked with the Rep there regarding custom blinds and each was coming to about $200. A total of $600 was a big price to say. Continued......

    Terminology corrections ;) just to help you out, hope thats ok. Otherwise nice tutorial.
    main rail = track
    sliders = carriers
    clips = valance clips
    (Just a tip for your viewers: The bracket you had as it was when you pulled it out is for outside mount (and yes is called/refered to as the "bracket", the piece you took off to use is called/refered to as the "clip" that is used for inside mounts & ceiling mounts. If you custom order blinds you will be asked if you want brackets or clips.)
