Simply put, she's scared because she's probably had her heart broken by a similarly smooth talking player and she knows that if a man really is so glib with you and fearless, it's probably because you don't mean much to him.

I basically loved this show from the get-go, but when he said, "I'd full-gainer down the Crack in Killarney just to hold your purse," it went next-level for me. That's some Jim Harrison-esque place-dropping. I almost expect to see Brown Dog come loping through Sudbury or Letterkenny.
I had to look up what Dim Sum is because I am uncultured and not only is it a Chinese cuisine, but it also means "touch the heart". Pretty awesome writing if you ask me.
