The movie has great rewatch value, at least once. A lot of the plot it actually in the lyrics. Just one example, in the intro song, there is a part about a creature being made and... a creature has been made by the end of the movie. I heard that some movie theatres in the past arranged the movie shown from time to time. People would dress to match the movie and bring props to be used at the appropriate time. Like rice to be thrown in the wedding scene, water pistols to simulate the rain and newspapers and so on. My DVD even has a subtitle menu telling you what prop to use at what time.
Not just in the past but continuously since 75. Smaller theaters around the country would hold at various times of the year (but always Halloween) a midnight showing. Here in Fort Lauderdale Florida we have 5 floor shows a year. February, June, August, October, and December. A cast of actors hop on stage and lip sync a stage play as the film plays behind them, and its audience interactive and the crowd is shouting lines and throwing stuff and dancing and its awesome.
Just a funny thing to point out: In the decades to come (depending on who it was), three RHPS cast members all went on to appear in Beauty and the Beast adaptations. Patricia Quinn (Magenta) played Susan, one of Trish Van Devere Belle's sisters, in the 1976 Hallmark version. Susan Sarandon (Janet) played Beauty in the 1984 TV episode from Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre. And Tim Curry (Frank of course) voiced both the villain Maestro Forte in the 1997 Disney midquel & his own Beast in BATB: The Tale of the Crimson Flower in 1998. (He was also one of the actors considered to voice Disney's Beast before Robby Benson was hired). 🥰🌹 I've been on a Beauty and the Beast binge as of late after discovering Crimson Flower on a whim, and because it's my favorite fairytale, I've watched a ton of different versions as of late, so when I realized the RHPS tidbit I flipped and knew I had to share because no *way* that's just coincidence! 😉✨
The first easter egg movie as they had left actual easter eggs on set after an easter egg hunt Lol "someone's name is Meatloaf!" Yes, Sophia, Meatloaf himself
I’ve only seen his scenes because of course I had to! He (Tim) was still very affected by the stroke but he looked so happy to be there and everybody loved it and appreciated him ❤️
same 😭 and I didn't watch the movie until like 7 years later when I saw the episode again and finally understood they were talking about an actual movie
In my home town, they do live renditions of Rocky Horror every Halloween with local theatre performers (barring global pandemics, of course). It's so much fun! Somehow, our guy who plays Frank-N-Furter just nails the spirit of Tim Curry's performance, despite allegedly having never seen the film before first performing the role.
In the Frankenstein book (as far as I remember) there is no Igor/Assistant type character. Victor was basically a college student, so he wouldn't have been able to hire help XD
As someone who is getting way too obsessed with Frankenstein, a gentle note! In the original novel by Mary Shelley, Victor Frankenstein doesn't have an assistant - he built his Creature alone in an apartment. Also, he wasn't a doctor, he was a college dropout lol. Adaptations often give him an assistant and make him an actual doctor. Otherwise though, it's always fun to really watch RHPS for the first time :D Just rewatched and editing to add that at the end of the novel, the Creature's fate is never confirmed - Victor is dead, and the Creature takes up his corpse, claiming he shall destroy himself upon a funeral pyre for Victor, but it's not confirmed that he actually dies, as the narrator of the ending, Captain Walton, only remarks that the Creature disappears after leaving the ship the final scene takes place in.
Richard O'Brian (the actor who plays Riff Raff), wrote this. He is a big fan of 1950s and 60s Sci Fi movies. As you can see in the scenery, special effects and acting. Great movie/play.
I believe the trope of the "hunchback assistant" largely came from one of the early movies (Son Of Frankenstein, maybe?) where there was a disfigured lab assistant played by Bela Lugosi.
I think it's from the more famous Frankenstein movie with Boris Karloff. Logosi only played Igor in one of the sequels (Son of Frankenstein) but the original Igor from 1931 wasn't him - nor was he actually named Igor
YES!!! This is one of my favorite musical comedies, This and Little Shop Of Horrors! I saw this film on CBS Sunday Night Movie in 2000 to celebrate the films 25th Anniversary, and it blew me away! I love the songs, "Let's Do The Time Warp, "There's a light(Over at the Frankenstein Place)," "Hot Patootie, Bless My Soul", and the opening song "Science Fiction Double Feature."
#1 I never realized this was a take on Frankenstein. #2 I never realized this had a sexual liberation theme. #3 My Mum recommended this to me, saying I'd like it, and I do. Now I'm wondering if she knew the theme too? Cause she is more conservative when it comes to that type of thing, in a sense. Kind of funny thinking about it.
My dad is the same way but the night I went with my friends for the first time he told me he went to a showing before I was born lol. Never expected that from him.
You know. It was not until I watched this yesterday that I saw the Frankenstein parallels because I was distracted by the spectacle and whacky hijinks. It was literally in the song: “there’s a light over at the Frankenstein place”. Why did this go one ear and out the other? Oh also something that took me forever. The pride flag in the scene where Rocky was created. The colors in the tub made the Pride flag. It was so obvious but went over my head.
@@gabrielleduplessis7388 The rainbow flag came to be in 1978 and just a few colors were shown in the tub, but maybe it inspired the creator of the flag, who knows?
8:05 The "hunched" servant of Dr. Frankenstein was an invention from the 1931 Boris Karloff film. The servant in Mary Shelley's book was only described as an ex-con and didn't really have a detailed description of his appearance.
When I was in highschool me and two friends worked at the same place. Some how it became Habit that anytime one of us said damnit (like when we dropped something) another one would immediately say Janet and then all three of us would sing I love you.....it was fun explaining it to the manager the first time she saw us do it.
"Frank N Furter is just like 'This is MY show." Funny you should say that. Tim Curry appeared in "Muppet's Treasure Island" and in that, he sings a musical number alongside a chorus of pirate muppets, and one of his lines is "Upstage, lads! This is my ONLY number..." Only Tim Curry can out-muppet the muppets.
another amazing Tim Curry performance is the comedy film Clue, based off the classic board game. Him and so many other amazing actors and that movie's comedy is so quick witted and well paced it's almost rhythmic. Highly recommend
The fact that Tim C had already played this character in the play on stage before the movie. I find ìt made Tim very strong in playing this role. Love hearing how super you are in watching this movie for the first time.
"Riff Raff" was played by Richard O'Brien - who also wrote the original play & movie. Fun fact, he also did the voice for "Phineas and Ferb's" father, Lawrence Fletcher. Some of it makes more sense - for certain versions of the word "sense" - when you remember this was a musical theater production originally, and a "love letter" to all the 50s/60s SF movies that people grew up on at the time. Watching the movie at a midnight show with other fans is - in itself - a whole 'nother thing...there's just as much show going on in the seats as on the screen.
this movie is created by the writer richard o'brien who plays riff raff the hunchbacked butler with pale skin this movie is an adaptation of the play in which several of the actors reprized their role from the play in the movie, that includes to tim curry that this was his first official movie, richard o'brien has said on several occasions that rocky horror picture show is basically a love letter to the classic sci-fi movies and horror movies that he grew up watching and can be noticed in every detail from the script, the performances and the direction in general. and well on the sexual tone o'brien has said that the film is about sexual awakening as well and can be seen mostly in brad and janet who arrive at the mansion shy and practically outraged to see so much euphoria frenzy that eventually both ends up giving in to their hidden desires
Even though this was Tim Curry's top iconic roles this almost ended his career. He got blackballed by Hollywood for awhile. If it wasn’t for his unfortunate stroke, he probably would've gotten the role of Dr. Everette Scott in the TV reboot they did a few years ago on Fox. Just to get him back in those fishnet stockings again 😂. Fun fact: the actors that played Riff Raff and Magenta didn't know they were also siblings until the end of the film.
Also, this was a play for years before it became a movie. Tim Curry played this role in the theatre with Richard o brien as riff raff and the lady who played magenta as well.
as someone who's also watched the movie for the first time literally yesterday, it's a certified classic! it's just a campy fun horror-comedy musical, also tim curry is legendary.
i played Janet in my college’s production recently, it was absolutely amazing i loved every second of the production process and i was lucky enough to have my boyfriend along side me as Frank 🥰
Lol, every time I hear "Damn It Janet," I always have to remember that I first heard it in a Phantom of the Opera crack video when I was about 11 or 12. 😆
You mentioned this being done for high school in Glee or whatever. It actually used to be a popular stage play to put on for follies in high schools back in the late 70s/early 80s before the Satanic Panic and such happened.
I'm entertained you were so careful with the censoring but completely missed Columbia's famous nip slip (16:24), though most people probably never noticed that.
Both the nip slip and the sound of the tea tray falling were 'accidents' during the stage run that stayed in both the future performances and film. The tray was the original prop for the thunder.
You say "MOST people probably never noticed that?" This was why people used to bring laser pointers and yell out "nip slip" when we went to the midnight showing during the mid '80s in college. Literally EVERYBODY noticed it.
When I first saw the movie, it was playing on tv. And when the floor show came up, her nip slip were blurred and as someone who wasn't in high school when yet viewing the movie, wonder why. It wasn't until later I finally the uncensored version on VHS and finally understand why.
This movie is so much fun and kinda bonkers at the same time. My mom and aunt loved this movie when it came out. They used to dress up as the characters for drive-in screenings as teenagers in the 70s. Apparently it’s still a big thing that happens today with fans when the movie has special screening events.
3:15 It is a nice transition and given the low budget of the film it had to be done practically. They had a physical window that was cut into four sections that were pulled apart in front of the camera, over a blank background, so they could layer the shots together for the transition. That one shot was actually a significant amount of work.
My favorite movie. I first saw it in a theater when I was in high school and I went back many times during my senior year and freshman year of college. It's a fun experience but I think it's good to see it at home first so you can pay attention fully. Tim Curry is incredible. 👄🖤
I just clicked on this video, my first time here and my frist thought was, "this is gonna be good cause at least she's self aware" and then the message at the bottom! Great stuff.

I remember that my Plastic Arts teacher told me that this movie, somehow, changed him forever. And I can't blame him: It's a rollercoaster of experiences. For that reason it's still being my favourite musical movie ever.
You should look up the UK ending song called superhero’s on RUclips it was cut out of the US release and it ties everything together. I’m so glad you reacted to this btw!
I love all these songs. For the last 30 or so years, each time I hear two words in conversation that happen to correspond to two words in one of these songs, that one will be stuck in my head all day, unless I listen to the whole thing. They're all ear-worms.
I went to a number of performances in 73, and at that time it was the music that was bringing in the crowds. Still play the Roxy album version nearly 50 years after getting hold of it.
I think I'm one of the few people who went to the live show before actually seeing the movie. Gotta say, it was a fun time and I enjoyed it, but I would have liked it more if I'd seen the movie first. The movie might be confusing but it's even more confusing when you can barely watch it through everyone throwing things and yelling.
"you will live vicariously through me" my bi ass understood " bi-curiously through me" wich makes sense in this movie lmao 1 year after and this got recommended again lol 19:31 Jannet and Brad look hot af here
To answer your question: there is no “Igor” (henchman) character in Frankenstein. He was made up for the movie (also the look of the monster is completely wrong in the movie too, just a fun fact)
My friend decided I needed to see it when I was 14 years old! There was a local movie theater who played it every Friday night at midnight! There was another friend with too but I can’t recall her name! Also if you notice at the part where Riff Raff and Magenta stage their coup d’etat. When Janet and Brad are backing away from Frank Janet accidentally steps on Brad’s foot and he makes a face! Movie theaters and plays are fun because people shout things out! 😂
fun fact: there were going to be sequels, and in one version magenta dies on their home planet and it's HEAVILY alluded to that riff raff boned her corpse. in that one or another one, it turns out that janet got pregnant by franknfurter? there's one where brad and janet split up and brad becomes a stripper?? there's a semi-sequel, shock treatment, that officially takes place in a separate timeline but is an amalgamation of several scrapped sequel parts. that one has nell, patricia, and richard all returning and one could assume that patricia and richard are playing a disguised riff raff and magenta (as in the scrapped version that's exactly the case). shock treatment is good, but you have to think of it as wholly separate from rhps to truly enjoy it imo. it's a separate timeline, after all!
Tim Curry is as Dr. Frank is the sexiest, most charismatic mischievous character ever. You should also watch Clue - I watched it for the very first time 4 days ago and I have already seen it three times since then. Also Tim Curry is super charismatic and stealing scenes in every single movie he's in.
16:25 intentional nip slip 😂 the actress cut a hole into the shirt specifically JUST to see if she could get away with it. She did, and people still fail to notice 😂
Not sure I misheard you, 'can't wait to see where it all started'. It started earlier than that as a stage play in London. I went to one of the first performances with the original cast which at that time included those that play Rocky, Riff Raff, Magenta, Columbia and Dr Scott in the film. It was held in a derelict cinema on the Kings Road in Chelsea that was full of dust, scaffolding and sacking hanging from the walls, At that time there was no 'scripted' audience participation; although the stage scenes in the film mirrored what happen in the actual play. So we were lucky to see it as Richard O'Brien intended it to be seen.
my favorite part of this is that you went in completely blind but towards the end you came hilariously close to saying a couple of the callbacks i learned to yell at the screen at midnight showings! specifically: 18:44 when you said "that was a nice shot, with the light in the background" - there's a callback "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE BEST SHOT IN THIS MOVIE" 19:05 when you laughed at frank for trying to escape up the curtain - there's a callback "NO FRANK DON'T GO UP GO DOWN" 19:39 the callback i learned at this part is literally "what???? ohhhh. wait, what?" LOL
*ABOUT THE FRANKENSTEIN BIT* In the book, Victor (Frankenstein) does not have anyone helping him out. That was added in the 1931 movie. In the book, he robbed a bunch of graveyards and did all his nonsense in his college dorm, more or less, there's also no eletricity, he never says how he did it.

Welcome to the Rocky community! So glad you had fun. I’m performing as Riff Raff in this year’s shadow cast in Seoul, South Korea. It’s one of the best communities to be a part of - make sure you see a shadow cast (where the film is behind them) as well as a live musical production! ❤ Maybe you’ll learn a callback or two!
This film has its place in history and is inarguably an extremely important milestone in LGBT media and the sexual revolution as a whole, but from an entirely personal place, the sequel, Shock Treatment, is my jam.
If you love this movie and want to see a movie in the same vein, but came out a year earlier, I recommend the Phantom of the Paradise by Brian De Palma.
I have a personal story about the first performances of RHPS at the Roxy on Sunset, 1973. Me high school mate Tony Berg was the guitarist/arranger for the stage show in it's inception. Nice work Mister Berg. You left my wah-wah filthy from the ceremonies, by the way.

Also literally started tap classes cuz of Colombia and started drag cuz of Frank and I’m doing both professionally now so that’s pretty cool. ❤️
I attended two live shows for 2 years until 2020. However, I finally was able to actually watch the movie at home without the audience yelling and trying to watch the live actors at the same time 😅 if this movie was great for you, i def recommend attending the shows in the future!
You definitely have to check out a live showing of RHPS! It’s especially fun if you go in costume and know what things to shout out along with the movie! Beware: you may have to participate in the “virgin line” your first time seeing the show. That’s when you crawl between the legs of all the actors reenacting the movie (standing in a straight line in the aisle) and they slap your butt as you crawl. It can be a little wild at times, but if you enjoyed the movie, a reenactment is definitely worth it!
I've been watching this movie since I was 4 years old and it's still my favorite movie to this day. Lord knows why my parents thought it was okay to show a child this, but I think it shaped me for the better...I think

Rocky Horror, and Legend two of my favorite Tim Curry movies
Tim is a chameleon... Pennywise, Darkness (from Legend), the butler from Clue, and a serial killer in the tv show "Criminal Minds"
Frank is the best character he may be a hedonistic mad scientist but wow his character has more personality than anyone else
Just one word:
FINALLY.
But no seriously, love this movie, a true camp cult classic. Glad you got around to it :)
nothing makes me feel old like Sophia not knowing who Meatloaf is
👁👄👁 is he... Is he that well known 🙈
OH HE SANG "I'D DO ANYTHING FOR LOVE (BUT I WON'T DO THAT)"!!!
@@SophiaPhannn I guess maybe not but I mean its kinda hard to forget a guy whose name is Meat lmaoo
I’m not that old and I felt that 😭. My mom used to burn CD’s that had some of his songs on them and she would play them all the time in the car.
Lmao I'm 28, almost 29, and I mainly know of him because of this movie and Spice World as well as his music because of my parents.
I couldn't tell if Sophia said "We're going to live vicariously" or "we're going to live bi-curiously" but honestly after watching this either one would make sense
Tim Curry really is good at just stealing any scene he's in, him and Matthew Lillard are my top favortie actors
Frankenstein wasn’t the monster, it was the doctor 🥴. Which is why Tim curry’s character was called FRANKENfurter ☺️☺️ I love your channel! 💕
I've been on a Beauty and the Beast binge as of late after discovering Crimson Flower on a whim, and because it's my favorite fairytale, I've watched a ton of different versions as of late, so when I realized the RHPS tidbit I flipped and knew I had to share because no *way* that's just coincidence! 😉✨
I love a good Faerie Tale Theatre reference! ❤️
Haha "someone's name is Meatloaf" oh, sweet summer child x
I think he got that nickname from high school football or something 😂
@@EverlastingHobnocker yeah I've heard that before
The first easter egg movie as they had left actual easter eggs on set after an easter egg hunt
Lol "someone's name is Meatloaf!" Yes, Sophia, Meatloaf himself
3:18 Funny how the criminologist is clearly analyzing Tim Curry in that scene, and then in the 2016 show Tim himself would be the criminologist. 😉
I’ve only seen his scenes because of course I had to! He (Tim) was still very affected by the stroke but he looked so happy to be there and everybody loved it and appreciated him ❤️
I also first learned of Rocky Horror through Glee. It's ok. We missed out together.
same 😭 and I didn't watch the movie until like 7 years later when I saw the episode again and finally understood they were talking about an actual movie
Tell me why the heart Brad draws on the church door makes me snicker so much, it’s the WORST drawn heart I’ve ever seen it’s so sad xD
Brad is so square he can't even do vandalism right. Asshole.
That's because as the call back says "Only assholes carry chalk."
Otherwise though, it's always fun to really watch RHPS for the first time :D
Just rewatched and editing to add that at the end of the novel, the Creature's fate is never confirmed - Victor is dead, and the Creature takes up his corpse, claiming he shall destroy himself upon a funeral pyre for Victor, but it's not confirmed that he actually dies, as the narrator of the ending, Captain Walton, only remarks that the Creature disappears after leaving the ship the final scene takes place in.
Richard O'Brian (the actor who plays Riff Raff), wrote this. He is a big fan of 1950s and 60s Sci Fi movies. As you can see in the scenery, special effects and acting. Great movie/play.
Don't feel bad Sophia; I've never seen it either. But I still can appreciate it (and Tim Curry) from afar though! 🥰👏
The theatre showings of rocky horror with audience participation are so much fun.
@@stevedyches4635 i guess i just saw that differently considering how we view things today. Thanks for the tibet. I did not know this.
just watched this last week and i’m absolutely obsessed with the sweet transvestite song and creature of the night😭 dr frank n further is everything
I found myself humming the songs too after recording this 😂
8:05 The "hunched" servant of Dr.
Aww that sounds like so much fun!! I love that!
"Frank N Furter is just like 'This is MY show."
Funny you should say that. Tim Curry appeared in "Muppet's Treasure Island" and in that, he sings a musical number alongside a chorus of pirate muppets, and one of his lines is "Upstage, lads! This is my ONLY number..."
Only Tim Curry can out-muppet the muppets.
another amazing Tim Curry performance is the comedy film Clue, based off the classic board game.
We saw a live show on Friday night and my ears are still ringing - you *MUST* experience it live at a show where audience participation is encouraged!
"Your apple pie, dont taste so nice!" "OH?" I laughed so hard at that oml
Tim Curry as Frank n Furter is just an incredible role
I love "Sweet Transvestite" and "Time Warp".
But the guy who played Riff Raff wrote the show
Richard O'Brien (riff raff) wrote the show lol
Also, this was a play for years before it became a movie. Tim Curry played this role in the theatre with Richard o brien as riff raff and the lady who played magenta as well.
'blackballed from Hollywood' ... Fun fact: you like making up crap, don't you.
This was Tim Curry's first movie. It definitely didn't almost end his career. Quit making things up.
Frank did liberate Janet, but it broke Brad, this is evident in the song 'rose tint my world', but is more fully explained in the follow up film.
12:21
I'll never forget the live showing of this I went to, where after this line, the audience yelled "SO'S BRAAD"
I just went to a live Rocky Horror production last weekend. It’s definitely an experience you will never forget!
as someone who's also watched the movie for the first time literally yesterday, it's a certified classic! it's just a campy fun horror-comedy musical, also tim curry is legendary.
i played Janet in my college’s production recently, it was absolutely amazing i loved every second of the production process and i was lucky enough to have my boyfriend along side me as Frank 🥰
This film is one of my favorite things in the entire universe. Always giddy to see new people brought into the fold.
Lol, every time I hear "Damn It Janet," I always have to remember that I first heard it in a Phantom of the Opera crack video when I was about 11 or 12. 😆
Frank N. Furter: Coming!
"He wishes!" I laughed my @$$ off!
You mentioned this being done for high school in Glee or whatever. It actually used to be a popular stage play to put on for follies in high schools back in the late 70s/early 80s before the Satanic Panic and such happened.
That is so interesting!
richard o brien (riff raf the hunchback) is the voice of the dad in phineas and ferb fun fact lol
LOL omg that IS a fun fact
I'm entertained you were so careful with the censoring but completely missed Columbia's famous nip slip (16:24), though most people probably never noticed that.
Omg 💀 well if RUclips didn't notice it, then it's okay HAHA 🤷🏻♀
This is my COMFORT movie, I can't explain it. My friends and I used to go to midnight shows all the time. Ugh, I love it.
This movie is so much fun and kinda bonkers at the same time.
My mom and aunt loved this movie when it came out. They used to dress up as the characters for drive-in screenings as teenagers in the 70s. Apparently it’s still a big thing that happens today with fans when the movie has special screening events.
Riff Raff screaming "LIKE YOU'RE UNDER SEDATIONNNNN" hits my soul
As a Gleek myself, the rocky horror episode is how I became exposed to this film.
Hands down Tim Curry's best role. The look, the voice, everything.
Clue comes in at a close second.
Fun fact: There's at least 3 cancelled sequel's to this movie.
Rocky Horror Show's His Heel's
Revenge of The Old Queen
Rocky Horror The Second Coming

It is a nice transition and given the low budget of the film it had to be done practically. They had a physical window that was cut into four sections that were pulled apart in front of the camera, over a blank background, so they could layer the shots together for the transition. That one shot was actually a significant amount of work.
I've seen the live play version of Rocky Horror with David Bedella as Frankenfurter. Which is fantastic. It's here on RUclips, by the way.
We preformed it at my high school back in the late 90's...it was epic.
Honestly as a gay I’m just proud you’re watching it now!!
not enough creators react to this film, the amount i request this film to be reacted to is sad lol i’m so happy there’s a reaction to this fever dream of a masterpiece
46 years later and it's still a masterpiece.
"you will live vicariously through me" my bi ass understood " bi-curiously through me" wich makes sense in this movie lmao
1 year after and this got recommended again lol 19:31 Jannet and Brad look hot af here
To answer your question: there is no “Igor” (henchman) character in Frankenstein.
You reviewing Rocky Horror makes my night better than the dreadful daytime at work.
Time to put you through the 'Rocky Horror' 2016 Edition next.
So we were lucky to see it as Richard O'Brien intended it to be seen.
my favorite part of this is that you went in completely blind but towards the end you came hilariously close to saying a couple of the callbacks i learned to yell at the screen at midnight showings! specifically:
18:44 when you said "that was a nice shot, with the light in the background" - there's a callback "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE BEST SHOT IN THIS MOVIE"
19:05 when you laughed at frank for trying to escape up the curtain - there's a callback "NO FRANK DON'T GO UP GO DOWN"
19:39 the callback i learned at this part is literally "what???? ohhhh. wait, what?" LOL
G,day Sophia
Back in the early 70s I was working on cattle stations (ranches) in western Queensland and went to Brisbane for the holidays ,saw this at the movies. WTF ,never say anything like it before , what an impact for a boy from the bush, seen it many times since and always enjoy it. Must say what a stunning looking woman you are , with respect. In a few days I'm 70, how the time flies when your having fun!!
All the best. Bluey.
I love this movies so much and am so excited to play Janet in a shadow cast, glad you enjoyed it
I have a personal story about the first performances of RHPS at the Roxy on Sunset, 1973. Me high school mate Tony Berg was the guitarist/arranger for the stage show in it's inception. Nice work Mister Berg. You left my wah-wah filthy from the ceremonies, by the way.
I remember the first time I watched this I was 12 and I had a nightmare and I woke up and this was on and I thought it was like still a nightmare lmao and my mother told me it was a real movie the next day and a year later I went to the midnight premiere and I’ve gone back every year around Halloween since. Also literally started tap classes cuz of Colombia and started drag cuz of Frank and I’m doing both professionally now so that’s pretty cool. ❤️
Fun fact Sophia the actor who plays Riff Raff in this actually wrote the play. He is called Richard O'brien.
Watching the Rocky Horror Picture is a 👏good👏time👏 I literally just watch it for a boost of confidence and a really good time.
Fun fact the guy that plays Riff Raff (Richard O’Brien) is the voice actor for Phineas and Ferb’s dad
Your reactions were PRICELESS! This is one of my favorite movies. I have seen about 4 first time viewing reactions and yours was, by far, the best.
I love this movie, like TRULY love it!
best experience is in theaters with a cast! Its so much fun! Going in with teh props and cast.
I remember wanting to learn how to tap dance so that I could perform Little Nell (Columbia)‘S dance part of Time Warp for this talk show in Australia (Rove Live). I have up after a couple of weeks. Man, what a time…
100% recommend a live production of this. I went to see it just after the business with craig mclachlan went down which caused him to be kicked off. Saw the first show of his replacement and it was great. My favorite live performance ive been too
I first got this film as a birthday present and I remember the first time watching it being very confused. Now I love it and am going to see it the stage production soon
