yeah maybe, but. unfortunately, we always want more and faster. I have a x3m with 500hp, its about as fast as this or faster, will tune to 600hp this spring......always want more. I thought this car was so fast when I bought it and it is, but you get used to the speed and driving faster pretty quickly. imagine a Bugatti Veyron with 1600hp,......you also get used to that eventually and then want 2000hp.....as long as the hp is controllable and not dangerous than I want more. not looking for a drag race car on the street....just stupid and only good in a straight line for a few seconds.

2 weeks no car as the comp has to go to Finland, blah blah blah, happy to keep it stock and original, huge smile every time I press the red start button. Cant ask for much more. Even drove a 911 turbo s to 310kmh, it's not much faster than my car and stupide expensive at 350k, so my car for the fun and room factor is a bargain compared to the Porsche and way more tech. P does not even have heads up display, it is a must for every car especially a lux car.

Alleine das Cockpitdisplay ist an Hässlichkeit nicht zu überbieten. Zu schwer und trotz Streuung nach oben nicht schneller als ein 4.0 Cay? Rückschritt statt Fortschritt abgesehen von der hässlichen Legokarosserie🤮
Kannst einen Bmw auch nicht mit nem Porsche vergleichen
Ein Cayman 4.0 kostet auch mal entspannte 20.000€ mehr. Zudem ist der Cayman ja als Sportwagen entwickelt, während der M2 ein zu einem Sportwagen umgebautes Coupe ist mit besserer Alltagstauglichkeit (Rücksitze, Kofferraum, etc.)
Bei carwow hat der M2 einen Cayman 4.0 aber lang gemacht im Drag Race und Rolling Race. Und das ziemlich deutlich.

but seems shift speed would be level-1, so with level-3, expect a bit faster.
I always found rev ing the car is so annoying and uselesss to listen to especially through youtube.. The real sound comes when your are ACTUALLYY driving not standing still and even worse through a microphone...

It is a real pity that new BMWs (despite being extremely high-tech and fast) are too ugly to look at! Wish BMW could revise its designs once more and return to the golden era of E39 & E46. 100-200 km/h 8.8 s! As fast as E60 M5!!

I am actually slowly getting used to the design, even though I like the normal G42 M240i more from design.
Did u make those test with level 1 gearbox shift? The shifts seems pretty slow to me

If you want big screens.. you can purchase 5 series and above

Probably because the M3/M4 do not manage the power as „elegantly“ as the new M2 to prevent traction loss.

Natürlich teuer, aber immernoch rund 18.000€ günstiger als ein vergleichbarer M4. Finde diesbezüglich die Preis/Leistung recht fair für einen M2 mit einem Motor, den man durch nen ECU-Tune für 2.500€ auf 650PS und 800NM bringen kann

You get the manual while you can. You'll have all the time in the world to get an auto. Sorry, but auto's just aren't fun. When your wife and daughter can get the same zero to 60 as you, there's something wrong. Get a manual and see what happens. They probably don't know how to drive a manual :)
I have basically the same car as you reviewed. I love it for exactly the reasons you mentioned. I traded a 2020 M2C. I was wondering how it was possible to improve that car. BMW did! I’m thrilled with the 2023 M2.

0-100 4,1s ?? Hab ich was verpasst 😂 Das fährt mein RS3 8V Modelljahr 2017 (Baujahr 2021) auch und das mit 400ps.
Heckantrieb… Die 4,1 fährt der BMW ohne Launch Control nur mit Fuß auf der Bremse. Im Alltag macht der dich lang ganz klar
Dafür sieht dein RS3 besser aus 👍
Die 4,1 ändern nichts daran das dieses KFZ sowas von hässlich ist.Und vor allem das Gewicht. Das ist weit weg von einem Sportwagen. 🤷♂️ Der alte ist um einiges schöner. 😉

@@Bronko___92 Heckantrieb ist kein Müll, Frontantrieb ist fürs fahren eher Quark ja. Es hat alles Vor- und Nachteile kommt wie immer drauf an
Der Motor ist wirklich geil, von außen gefällt mir der M2 aber nur so halbwegs gut. Dieser Testwagen wurde übrigens von "auto motor und sport" auf dem Leistungsprüfstand mit 496 PS gemessen.
Ja so sind die Daitschn, Leistungsangaben sollten schon der Realität entsprechen und nicht mal eben um 8 Prozent nach oben streuen. Das ist mit Sicherheit ein zu großes Leistungsplus. Dann sollte man so ehrlich sein und das Auto mit Nennleistung 475 PS angeben, ich meine eine Abweichung kann immer möglich sein da es auch Abhängig von Temperatur, Luftfeuchte, Luftdruck usw. ist, gibt aber die Regelsysteme und die sollten schon in der Lage sein die Leistung( Drehmoment ) entsprechend zu steuern das da keine 8 Prozent Mehrleistung rauskommen. Ist für mich so typisch geschönt um starke, deutsche 460 PS zu verkaufen und in Wahrheit hat der Stuhl dann 500 PS, dafür geht der BMW allerdings nicht überragend sondern eher der Leistung entsprechend im Verhältnis zum Gewicht, Aerodynamik würde ich sagen.
Sich über zu viel Leistung aufregen, sowas deutsches hab ich lange nicht gesehen😂😂

Und mit ner easy ECU-Codierung holt man ohne an der Hardware was ändern zu müssen 650PS und 800Nm aus dem Motor. Schon krass

If you want to have the car which is more fun... definetly. The front end grips even better and it feels more nimble because of the shorter wheelbase.
So ein cooles Auto, aber an diese Front kann ich mich einfach nicht gewöhnen. Die gefällt mir nicht. M3/M4 Front dagegen viel besser, obwohl diese vielen auch nicht gefällt.😅

basically a short wheel base m4. Add 8kg cast wheels vs rotary forged on the m3/ 4. also door and hood/bonnet isn't aluminum like on the m3/m4. maybe some other parts are also heavier.

In my country (Australia) a fully specced M2 is AUD $147k. An M240i is $117k fully specced. This is down to our luxury car tax.

You're paying shit loads for the carbon seats. it's 129k drive away without the seats. And that includes 5 years of free servicing.
I assume the engine is electronically/artificially limited to 460hp right? Doesn’t make sense should BMW have used different internal components that would limit the power.
Therefore: when you get the car just remove the limiter and you should have 510hp xD

These engines are great and heavily underrated, supported by BMWs official figures. Guess, we can almost address 460hp to the wheels in case of a dyno, so this car performs >500hp for sure. Enjoy, this will be the last clean eternal combustion engine

Not knocking the car, but With a 93 Tune & catless Dp 1000k in mods in my 2020 Supra I have I already gapped this car! 😆 lol 🤷 So 35k cheaper I'll stick to my A90!
