This movie was based on a long-running radio show of the same name. The early years starred Edward G. Robinson and Claire Trevor. Those episodes represent some of the best radio drama ever produced, but only a handful of them have survived.

Thanks for invaluable background history of this movie. Edward G. Robinson and Claire Trevor have always been favorites, especially in "Key Largo."
@@lindabranigan2460 I agree with you. You might enjoy listening to some of the surviving radio episodes featuring Robinson and Trevor. They have wonderful chemistry together, and their individual performances are excellent. They are able to make the script really come to life so that it's as if you are watching a movie in your mind.

@@RogerGFenn CUTIE ALWAYS 💯
Loved this. The script was fast and colourful. Thank you.
Thank you 💝
My favourite channel 💝
I liked it! Have only seen Hillary Brooke in a Sherlock Holmes film. Peabody's niece was certainly one for the books!
I think she was in a couple of horror films.
Thank you for downloading great film noir ❤
Now there is a word you don't hear in the circle of people I am aquainted with. Cuspidor.
My circle of acquaintances call it a Spittoon which we use all
the time at the pub. Great for our chewing and spitting tobacco needs!
@@rubytuesday5412 Yeah my thinking was correct. Spittoon. Not a need in Australia I have ever seen in my 67 years.
Mind you I have been places on this earth where the use of the spittoon should have been law. Those inhabitants cared not where there expectorants landed.
@@gardengnome3249 ~ Having worked in plenty of pubs in Oz, I've seen some nasty stuff in Cuspidors (my new fave word!)
Obviously, going by your comment I don't need to tell you just how vile some people can be...
And the same to you!
Spit gets fancy when aimed at something Latin in origin.
over exposed and blurred picture not matter which quality setting I use
Very good film noir
👊🔥
Loved this one 😊
I remember Phil Reed as a boss of the mob in one picture.
That was a pretty good movie!! But not good enough to watch again. When the next live chat?
Missed it by that much!
What about the movie?
Rate 5.4
Noir
Not a bad movie, but it reads like a 1930s script.
saulchapnick1566....For all we know, the script might have actually been written those many years before the movie; it happens a lot.
Cute movie!
I waited a week to see this movie get me a cold towel and a glass of Jim beam
I think Richard Travis was in Distant Drums with Gary Cooper.

Hildy Johnson. Anyone get the inside joke?

But thx for the upload! Oh I appreciate these!
I Love Hillary Brooke!
She's a sweetie.
Good choice in men girlie. I can pick my nose, better than she can pick her men.

Boring as hell
Yes
Your created Playlist looks boring as HEII.
Dialogue waaaaaaay too fast to enjoy.
@nonprofitgirl Scroll back and replay - you complain too much.
When you finish 6th grade you’ll understand
Dommage jamais de sous-titres en français
It's so amazing that those news hounds hogs to use those huge bulky iron things called typewriters to text on. Life was so primitive and backward in those old days in Pig Town I don't know how they did it without word processors.
The saying goes, "you have to crawl before you walk". I don't believe there ever would have been a word processor without their forerunners.
@@lolee1234
Now that you mentioned it
I think I have an old typewriter
well it's a lot faster than a pencil, so I think they we're pretty excited by the machines
Could you take this piss to the 13th floor?
@@jacquelinejanz5792~ I have a little portable typewriter in pastel blue stashed away somewhere. So cute!
Why no sutidles in Joisy Inglish?
How's that in the kings english?
@@keithharvey7230 "Why no subtitles in Jersey English?" Lol
