there is no real cons in Bullet Reservoir, as you may just not load second mag if you don't have time and you will just use it as unupgraded pistol. BUT, you may reload when 11 or less bullets are in pistol as opposed to 1 or less - which makes it easier to choose when to reload and thus less likely to have to reload 2 mags at once
It also reduces those times you have 1-2 bullets left in the mag, and might be forced to dump them on the ground so you can be ready for the next jump scare headcrab.
I wish they have more guns in the game both for Combine and Resistance. I wanna see what would happen if it got upgrade with Combine Tech. For example: Crossbow RPG Colt Python Combine Sniper Rifle Combine Pulse Rifle AK47 Tau Cannon Combine XM29 OICW MP5K MP7 SPAS12

I'm 3 years late, but I don't think you can put empty magazines back in. But you can with partially spent ones. But you can't put partially spent ones in your backpack.

That is very likely the iconic 1911 handgun and one of my personal favorites.
So this is how she gets that unique machine pistol of hers in Half Life 2.
when it has no bullets inside the mag or the chamber, a red light indicating you have no ammo apears under the slide
*time for inspiration*
The handgun looks almost like it does in Half-Life 2 when modded, I say that as it's similar to Alyx's gun in HL2.
Bullet reservoir? Ever heard of an extended magazine Valve?
Would make too much sense though
that's what they call it for the shotgun
2:05
and this was the moment i realized:
it now looks like alyx's gun in HL2.
there is no real cons in Bullet Reservoir, as you may just not load second mag if you don't have time and you will just use it as unupgraded pistol.
For example:
Crossbow
RPG
Colt Python
Combine Sniper Rifle
Combine Pulse Rifle
AK47
Tau Cannon
Combine XM29 OICW
MP5K
MP7
SPAS12
Can you interact with the "spent" magazine? I assume Alyx magically summons full magazines and subtracts from the "ammo pool" when reloading, and I can clearly see the ammo count display thing on the grip, but can you pull out the mag, look at it, push it back in like you do in Tarkov?
I'm 3 years late, but I don't think you can put empty magazines back in. But you can with partially spent ones. But you can't put partially spent ones in your backpack.
The crazy thing about VR is that the people who want it demonstrate everything line this have to actually get a physical workout as opposed to just being really good at the games. That probably means this guy has been assaulted by scary, real headcrabs like fufty times to get this gun.
I thought it was named “Half Life : Alyx all reload animations.”
and i was just like “wait what thats cool”
then my brain malfunctioned at the fact that its vr and it isn’t actually the title
Strange how they made it a burst gun in this game, and yet her gun is meant to be fully auto
So we can say it's canon that the pistol Alyx use in Half-Life 2, Ep 1 and Ep 2 is the same one 100% upgrade ?
After receiving pistol; - "That's not Alyx one of a kind pistol... Look like a fucking 1911".
After the very first upgrade; - "OoOoh... I see :V"
The reservoir upgrade don't have any Cons.
Full reload does take longer time as the capacity is now doubled, but we don't have to always do a full reload. It's optional.
I found this in my recommendations just after thinking that I want to watch a video like this
Do you plan to cover the other weapons in the future?
please do!
hla is the only valve game where you can ads with any gun and it not feel like a sin
2:26 pistol=alyx gun
nice you earned yourself a new sub, are you planning on doing any other vr games?
laser sight is a must for me, i rushed it on all other weapons as soon as I noticed how helpful it was
when i saw the thumbnail: ok
when i saw the channel: wait wtf is he posting these videos??
This far into the future...and the 1911 is still going....thank you John Browning
do shotgun and combine SMG next :DDDDDD
:D
If you upgadre it only with the Burst Fire and the Laser Sight, this will look exactly like the same Alyx's pistol seen in Half-Life 2
Can't go wrong with the trusty pistol
Episodes 1&2 are out of order in the playlist...
