Today Ashton and I head up to the Bronx to spend the day at the Bronx Zoo. We see lions, giraffes, snakes, turtles, peacocks, polar bears, and so much more! Afterward, we head down to Harlem to eat WAY too much food at Dinosaur Barbecue.

I’m from the Bronx and used to go to the Bronx Zoo all the time as a kid and up until recently..It’s one of the worlds most prestigious Zoos!

The most amazing place to take your kids in the Bronx! So much to do and see! The Madagascar is one to visit! Don't miss the sea lions being fed because it really is entertaining for the kids to watch! The peacocks roam around the zoo freely and kids love chasing them around. The rhinos are also a great one to see! Wednesdays is a free day! Come and enjoy the Zoo for free, just be prepared for a bit of crowd but who does love free entrance! Highly recommended!

I love the Bronx Zoo, but avoid welfare Wednesday like the plague! Crowded with undesirables, crying babies, whiny kids, etc. And it's to packed to be able to take photos. I go on any other day and get there at 10:00 AM to avoid the crowds.
Its nice that people who cant afford the zoo can still go. Kids are kids, rich or poor. Its nice both get the chance.
That being said I would gladly pay to avoid the crowds.

I'm not sure... I know that China is very particular about who they lend out their pandas to.
The Bronx doesn't at the moment the WCS doesn't as a whole if the live in NYC your closest panda holder is the Zoological Facility in Washington DC
SO overrated, and ridiculously expensive (they charge for parking too)! I grew up in The Bronx (Lydig Ave), and am now in Ohio. The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is much nicer! Yes, it's true.
