Hi, and thanks for the video! Very good! So i have a question for you, when you switch between the original carplay and the carlinkit box, does it actually disconnect the other? Like can you stream music on carplay and scroll through the internet on the carlinkit box at the same time?
Can you tap the tile of the maps to make it take up the whole screen, on the carlinkit android software... like you can with the android auto. Or do you have to go into the android auto to use that feature that allows to switch to full screen tile?
Very good video very informative, my current wireless adaptor doesn't work with Carstream it states "No new messages during this drive" will this Carlinkit Tbox Max solve that problem. I am in the UK
im hesitant to buy the 4gb ram version, all the ppl ik have bought the 8gb ram one and they say it works smoothly. im quite concerned that the 4gb ram one would lag or bcumz unable to run a lot of apps in the background. for those of u who have bought either one, can u lmk of ur feedback plz thx!
Curious about this box… if your car gets broken into and they steal the box, will they now have access to all the apps and their logins that you have on the box? Meaning that I would have to change every single password to any app that I have on that box and let’s say my phone or tv or home pc? Thanks
Think of it as a tablet, so yes, if you install apps directly on it, then it can be accessed. If you are using android/carplay, then no, because it's using ur cars display like an extended monitor.

Installed this box over the weekend and not to impressed at the moment, sometimes the bluetooth connection fails and i can't seem to be able to use phone because the folder is empty which means it doesn't have access to my galaxy s23 ultra contacts, so making a phone call means or i go back to original car screen or by using my phone book directly on my phone, also if i press the phone button on my steering wheel it doesn't open the phone book but it kinda works as a backspace button, when i press the phone button it goes to start screen so at the moment not to impressed with this box , if i can't get it sorted it goes in the trash because i don't use things that don't work properly, can't be a set up problem because i allowed it full access on everything while setting up the box
There is a company in Holland that resells exactly this box as the "WhatchMeBox"and the sell this double off the normal price. And everybody in Holland buy this.
I use it with a non touch screen (Audi S3 8V) You can plug a bluetooth keyboard for writting and if it has a trackpad better, that will help you. Anyway, not the best but tbox ambient can be used without touchscreen
Forgive my ignorance, but if my car has Wired and Wireless Carplay but no Android Auto, will this let me use Android Auto on the system or does it need to already have wired AA for that to work?

Is there any delay or trouble on audio and back camera?
the whole point to play youtube is for people to hear the audio sync not for you to turn the volume down so people cant get the sense of the delay

I don't have it but I'm assuming due to its compact size it doesn't come with a cooling fan so it's expected to get warm

There is models that come with wireless controller, I think that suits your vehicle

It uses the cars CarPlay to connect the box to the car. The android auto will connect to the box.

Yes I believe so, but I didn’t try. I have played remote play to my ps5 though and that works great.
