ive purchased this ai box. getting very hot after a few minutes of usage. is this a problem in general?

unfortunately there's no airplay / screen mirroring for iPhone. But there's a Carbitlink app that you can use to mirror if you have Android phone.
Hi, I need help with my carlinkit ambient.
Mine arrived today, I've been spending 2 hours in the car setting it up but the damned thing keeps loosing bluetooth connection, and it's not playing the music from my phone ( downloaded music on phone ) i have a samsung galaxy s23 ultra so it's not the phones connection but that box that's loosing connection....if you ask me that's money down the drain 🙄 not impressed at all with this box so far, and i have the same infotainment system as you , i have the nissan qashqai j12 9 inch screen
Did you successfully PAIRED your phone via bluetooth? What application do you use for playing music? Are you using the pre-installed BT Music app or other app?
How do you compare this to ottocast aibox p3? Which one is better for you?
Does Netflix or you tube remain playing while car is in motion?

Yes, it can play RUclips and Netflix while the car is in motion (but not recommendable). Any apps can be installed on this device via Google Playstore including WhatsApp. This device will work on any car's OEM stereo with factory wired CarPlay.

Yes, it should work if your car has built-in wired Apple CarPlay.
Great video, but how can I get back to factory system like XM? Do I have to unplug the AI box?
No need to unplug. There's a car icon on the homescreen, just tap that one and it will go back to your car's factory screen. Or just press the Menu button on your car's infotainment system if you have.

How would you compare this to the Carlinkit 5.0?
The Carlinkit 5.0 is just an adapter for wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. The Carlinkit Tbox Ambient on the other hand is a 3-in-1 system (wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and a full Android functionality). That means you can download apps from Google Playstore, play videos and movies, play games and so much more. The Carlinkit 5.0 doesn't have this feature.

it's a PIP feature (picture-in-picture). Just tap or double tap to view in full screen.

One show was full screen, everything else plays small

Hello. The view of the Google maps within homescreen (widget) is always set to default map (No satellite view mode). But you can set satellite view if you open the Google map app in full screen.

Yes, it does work on Satellite view (in full screen).
You can try uninstalling your Google Maps app and reinstall it back again.

You don't have to if you don't have SIM card. You can use your phone's personal hotspot to connect to WiFi.
