Roses blossom the best in April. Granny's roses need to be picked everyday. I went to pick some roses to make a jar of rose petal jam. There are many ways to make rose petal jam, but my favorite is the one with Dali carved plum juice. The plum juice offsets the astringency of rose petals, but keeps the fragrance to make the perfect unique and sweet rose petal jam. In the hot summer, the rose petal jam can add flavor to every dessert. Even when mixed with water, it tastes just as delicious.

The place where she picks up all the flowers is a small town called Dali, it's located in west part of Yunnan, it's a gorgeous place, happened to live there for couple years, my best memories ever.

I just love her so much. She transmits so much peace, everything around her is calm and beautiful. Besides that, the food she prepares all by herself, and which she even recolects the ingredients by herself, looks super delicious. She puts on so much effort and time and love into everything that is shown in the video. I just can't help but say thank you for sharing your peaceful life, which can set me free of my chaos and, for once in a very long time, I feel I'm free.

This gorgeous young lady needs to write ✍ a cookbook, of course in different languages, because I for one would buy it... I just love watching her and her family...
Chinese cooking really doesn't have any specific recipes. It's mostly up to the taste of the person cooking it, and it's more homely, humble, just throwing what we have together in dishes. Sometimes there are recipes, but I for one, don't follow them. It just makes it more your own. Not only that, but recipes are passed down in families, and then changed little by little as the generations go on. Like the dragonfruit crepes with rose cream, and gelatin is something new. And I think the stuffed pancakes are a variation on green onion pancakes, which is traditional, but all families have a different recipe and a different way to make them taste amazing.

I understand completely.. My family is from Eastern Kentucky and they do not use measures to cook, it's a pinch of that or a hand full of this and it is also by individual taste too.. My grandmothers, aunts and my momma taught me how to cook and bake, I could tell what to put in it, but the exact measurements...nope, I couldn't do it.. So I understand completely.. But I would still love to know the ingredients...trial and error I can deal with..

The color of the roses was beautiful. The hot pinkish red color inspired me. I think that color would be great on a dress or long skirt. I am a fashion design student and I love the vibrant and muted colors. Oh snow peas! It is past 3 a.m. over here in California. I gotta get some sleep now.

It's so peaceful where she lives and everyone seems to know everyone. Reminds me of when I went to live in the province my dad grew up in. I had the time of my life there, we swam in a river, even saw cows bathing there. The place where my dad lived was more forest than farm though. That didn't stop my family from growing chickens. I should go back soon, it's been years.
