Mine is good and bad. I've got Osteoarthritis and have had lower back pain for several years. Last month something changed and I was getting sudden pain from my hip to my foot and my leg wouldn't hold my weight.
Was diagnosed with bone spurs in my lower back that nerves were getting caught on. Had surgery last month and that sudden pain and weakness are gone but, still having pain in my left hip. So,my follow up is the end of this week and I get to find out where I go from here.
Good that the nerves aren't catching anymore and I can walk again without fear of falling. Bad because with the hip pain still there I still can't walk or stand for long periods because it aggravates the pain in my hip.
I'm trying to concentrate on the little win and hoping there's treatment for the rest.
I'm so happy for you, your family and especially your Mom. ❤

Your video made me so emotional. I'm 36 and was diagnosed with breast cancer in March of this year. I didn't have triple negative but my cancer was aggressive. I started with 6 chemo treatments, surgery (my lymph nodes were benign and my margins were also clear). I just finished radiation. It's crazy to think back on how quickly this year has passed and now I'm cancer free. Next step is to start hormone therapy, tamoxifen, and I'll be on it for the next 5 years. I got through treatment all while working full time.
I'm so happy to hear about your mom. Having support is so important. She is lucky to have you.

I’m so thrilled for you and your mom! My mother was diagnosed with lung cancer when I was pregnant with my daughter. She went through months of debilitating chemo, and during that time we learned my daughter might not survive to term due to complete heart block. The short version of the story is that my daughter is doing wonderfully, she has had a pacemaker since age 2.5 and is now a sophomore in college. My mom just celebrated 19 YEARS since her lung surgery! She has had other health challenges since then, but is doing well today. Your mom and Honor will always be tied in this way, just like my mom and my daughter are. ♥️♥️

I wanted to give you the biggest hug while watching this. I am a young breast cancer survivor and also had an aggressive cancer (HER2+). I went through the same treatment routine as your mom. I so clearly remember waking up from surgery and the first thing I heard was that my lymph nodes were clear, and when the surgeon called me a week or so later to tell me they had gotten it all - it's hard to clearly express the feeling in that moment. It's like the highest elation mixed with the deepest grief. As your mom goes into radiation, I have one tip: jojoba oil saved my skin (make sure to put it on after the session, not before). I never blistered or peeled and my skin only got a little red. I learned this from my SIL's mom who did the same thing and had great results. I also took a lot of turmeric, with my doctor's permission (always check). Sending you and your mom so much love.

Dear Julia, hugs+kisses. Don't post--at all or as often--if you don't want to. Exercise your wisdoms about what tires you, or what is too much. Hugs+love 💛💋💋for you and yr mum. What a great relationship you 2 have--it doesn't always happen this well with mothers 😊. So great luck to you; just feel our quiet warmth of confidence that your mum's health will turn out fine. So will you.😇 (The cruelty of life is that misfortune visits us all; 😊 the best we can hope for is that it'll only be a tiny handful of times.) TY for everything.
FYI my first shock was how amazingly GROWN your daughter is! I could not fathom how fast she grew up; perhaps I haven't watched much of your posts and life just kept happening. Esp for a tiny cutie, all eager to grow up! 😅
Sorry about YT's stupid algorithm. It should ask you for your preferences re the cancer topic. It's still too much "brute force and ignorance" in anticipating your human feelings. This is the state of the AI they're using. If you get smiley reaction questions by YT upon a single vid, answer them honestly: that's the AI TRYING TO LEARN YOUR TRUTHS. it is still stupid, haha. So good luck with that as well.
All the best, darling. Xox 😘😍

I just completed 7 weeks of IV antibiotic therapy in the hospital for a heart valve infection. We found the infection totally by chance and I'm super grateful they found it. I still have more healing to do, but I'll get there. I also successfully completed a knee replacement surgery in the summer (I'm 37). I also finally found the strength to leave an abusive, narcissistic relationship after 11 long, hard years. It's going to be hard to start over from nothing in a city I'm not from and still needing to heal, but I'll get there and I'll eventually have enough money to leave and move where I want to live, but I'm still here to fight another day! I'm thankful for the good news about your mom. I'm thankful for you because your videos have been a source of familiarity and friendship during some pretty dark times. God bless you all. ❤

So happy to hear this news about your mom! Also just wanted to say that you are not alone in your illness/death anxiety and emetophobia. I developed these fears to a debilitating extent when I was around 8-9 years old while my dad was undergoing his cancer treatment, and I had really not heard anyone else talking about these phobias until watching your videos. Thank you so much for being vulnerable and sharing. I ended up doing my own sort of exposure therapy by volunteering and then working at the hospital my dad spent a lot of his time at near the end, and ultimately was able to get to the point of being able to apply to medical school. Will be a doctor in about 6 months, and while I'm not completely comfortable with all the things I've been afraid of, I am happy to be at a point where I can help patients and their families get through their most challenging moments. You have been an inspiration over the last few years that I have followed you - thank you so much for sharing your life with all of us!

My mother also has stage 4 triple negative breast cancer. She’s 73, and has always been extremely healthy. She’s a nurse, and has spent her whole life helping others. Seeing the outpouring of support for her during these last 6 months has been so heartwarming. She’s finished chemo last week and doctors say it has been extremely effective. My wife and I are in the film industry so we’ve had nothing but time to help her with everything from driving her to chemo, (and sitting with her so she’s not alone), to doing her laundry and cleaning the house. In a strange way it has been a blessing. We were so busy for the last few years that we haven’t had many opportunities to spend lots of time with her, listening to stories, and for my wife to truly bond with her in a special way. It has changed my perspective on life in a way that only a situation like this could. She’s a badass, and her strength has inspired everyone around her.
Glad your mother is improving and will be around for many more years. ❤

Yay!!!! That's AMAZING news!! I also had breast cancer. Mine was inflammatory, which is an aggressive form as well. I had amazing doctors (thankfully 🙏) who had me take the same route of treatment as your mom. Chemo, surgery, radiation. That was 11 years ago for me. I'm 42 now, and my baby I was pregnant with during my cancer has grown into a strong💪kind boy💙 I'm so happy your family is finding your way towards the other side of this nightmare, and you had knowledgeable doctors to help you get there 😊 just remind your mom to take it easy with her arms after lympnode removal surgery. I went way overboard after my surgery, and I think that made lymphedema issues start to flare. The one drawback of lymphnodes coming out (yes, it's a definite necessity to test them), you are prone to lymphedema showing up. Looking back, I wish I would've worn compression sleeves during that recovery time as a precaution. Not the heavy-duty compression sleeves I need to wear daily now, but just the lightweight kind you can get on Amazon, just as a precaution. So that's a little tidbit you can always look into as a preventative or read up about. That was my one regret I wish I would've informed myself more on.... sorry for the novel🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I just love hearing good news 🥰 and she definitely received some great news!

I'm Palestinian and it's been rough (also I lost my beloved dog the same week of the Hamas attack... so I've been a mess.) I had to get off IG to avoid a lot of ignorant and hateful posts. On the more positive side, I found out a friend of mine is pregnant, and it made me super happy. We sort of fell out a bit a couple of years ago but still talk, and after she told me the news we hung out and talked for hours and it was just really nice to reconnect. So not only was it beautiful news but it seems like she wants me to be in the baby's life and that was a very welcome bright spot in an otherwise pretty shit month.

My dog was diagnosed with cancer, too, this june (her name ist Juna, ironically). She had to have a castration (she had massive hormonal problems) and they found a tumor in size of a fist on one of her ovaries. The surgery went well and we gave her time to recover. Especially because of the fact that it was a malignant tumor... We sceduled an appointment in 3 months to check up on her.
1,5 months later she got really really sick with dangerously high fever, dizzyness and sickness. She got examined and the result was a very urgent surgery again. There was a huge abscess in a size of a fist (yes, again) where the tumor had been 1,5 months ago. She survived and ist now sleeping next to me. I dont know how many guardian angels she had/has, but I am incredibly grateful. She is still in recovery but she is fine and the check up went fine, too ❤

Wow, that soup looks amazing ❤😊 I'm a new subscriber! I lost my dad last Feb of 2022 to cancer. Didn't even know he had it. He had stomach pain and he went to the hospital with my mom and he died after surgery. They removed a mass! Colon cancer and had spread to his liver and intestines. Ultimately it wasn't what took his life though. They think he had a blood clot to lung.
I'm saying some prayers for your momma! Beautiful family you have also! ❤ Take care...

Julia, I’m so glad to hear about your mom’s positive news. Your video brought me to tears because I’m only 41, a mom of a 3yo little girl, healthy with no health issues or family history, yet I too was diagnosed with breast cancer this June. Fortunately, I’ve received amazing news with each result following surgery but I understand that even the most positive results can bring tears of relief and gratefulness. Your mom sounds like a strong, positive and amazing woman. My heart goes out to you both. ❤

Also- I don’t hear people talk about their fear of death a lot, so this helped me feel less alone. I have struggled with this my entire life too, and especially at night time. I absolutely relate and it can make happy things feel so sad. I pray you continue to feel supported, and that your family will continue to receive amazing news.

Thank you so much for sharing that. My mom has osteoporosis and kyphosis and lately that pain from that degenerative condition has left her in daily pain that has only increased. It has also suddenly installed a new fear in my programming because she is literally my best friend and she has carried me through so much of life's really dark days. I can't imagine life without her. You are not alone and sharing your triumphs and journey help others feel like they are not alone either. A million times thank you for your content. Like they say sometimes your afraid but you do it afraid anyway. Important reminder to let people know that you love them and to live with the victories in life regardless of how events can be so daunting.

I understand what you mean about the fear of losing someone coming to the surface. My dad has been battling prostate cancer for 18 years, and it has become castrate resistant (no longer affected by hormone therapy). He went to India at the end of last year to receive a relatively new and promising therapy called Pluvicto. After 5 months of decreasing PSA levels and much improved scans, the PSA has unfortunately started to rise again. It's so hard to think that his time on this earth is limited...I can not even imagine it. I am afraid of not being able to handle the grief of losing him😞 It makes me so anxious. But I am doing my best to mentally prepare myself for the worst and enjoy the time I have with him now. I'm so glad to hear your mom had great results!!! Receiving that news must have been such a relief for you and your family ❤

I know exactly how you feel. My mom was diagnosed with bladder cancer last July. I was 2 months postpartum so this news turned my world upside down and I thought the worse case scenario. My parents live 1,000 miles away from me so it made it so much harder. She had surgery to remove a couple of masses and fortunately it didn’t spread. She did immunotherapy for 6 months so she luckily didn’t need any chemo or radiation. She still has to go every couple of months to get checked out but as of now she is cancer free. So happy it’s all good news for your mom!!❤
