Great vid Eric. I'm 2yrs in and still forget time keeping with the hh. Been repeating your, so usable, beginner drum fill lessons while incorporating the hh. Still forget. So frikkin frustrating. Your lessons r golden mate🍻✌.
Diude, these are good tips. Yeah, most drummers 🥁 probably know this but they aren’t doing it. Rules of worship music 🎶 I was taught is, “Less is More” and “It’s not about you” it is about creating an atmosphere for God to move!!
Always found it great to tap into the HS when I was playing worship situations, let the spirit flow and see the difference, really honestly if you only belive :)
I used to play drums many years ago, but haven't played for 20 + years, when I was invited to play for a church...I was in crisis, as my timing was OK but my coordination was out. This site was VERY helpful and helping me to understand the basics again. We only play (as a group) once monthly but your ability to communicate basics is brilliant. I'm thinking of getting a DD70 to help me with your lessons.

Great little tips mate. I'm prone to wanting to do something with a bit of spice. Probably due to my musical tastes - Genesis, Marillion, YES, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, etc. God bless you sir.
Sadly most are. Most of the world is not interested in sound doctrine(teaching). They want their ears tickled(entertained), so they creat their “show church” and call it “church”. Again, sadly this is most prevalent in the US. “For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires,” 2 Timothy 4:3
@@woody4269 Well just look at Hillsong Church. It has had it. A business hiding behing the guise of a "church" to avoid paying proper taxes. And original leaders who set the church up have basically been booted out due to "inappropriate" behavior. Not very good "Christian" there I would suggest.
@@woody4269 You can't just say every mega church is in the wrong, just cause God has blessed them and they have a huge audience doesn't mean they are doing something wrong. Although i do agree, a lot of them are doing it for show and not for God's glory but i have been to megachurches that really do what they do for God.

Absolutely. Mega churches are the pinnacle of egocentric everything. Except correct theology. 🤦♂️
