    Very nice reaction. It’s a shame that WB didn’t want to continue beyond and let Snyder finish his Justice league trilogy. The story boards from Snyder though provide a fascinating insight into JL2 and 3 storylines. It would have been incredible watch on the big screen.

    The things movies could've gotten had WB just let Snyder be free to what he wanted. I would've loved to have a Flashpoint Paradox kinda movie with this cast. If you guys haven't seen Flashpoint Paradox, I would put it on the list.

    The Joker's look from "Suicide Squad" is a directly lifted from the comics. People go crazy if they don;t see the exact same look every time. Memes. People whinged that Superman's suit was "the wrong shade of blue" because they don't actually read comics, they have only seen the cartoons for kids.

    I feel so sorry about this movie.... this cut is way better than the Wedon version, I think the DCU is doomed and also feel sorry about the other heroes movies. I guess the executives will have to reboot this franchise but it will be years to repair the damage caused by the other movie and the removal of key actors like Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill. Great video, I really enjoyed the time 🤗

    It is incredible that the theatrical release turned Cyborg into a minor character, Steppenwolf a one-dimensional villain with a downgraded design, Darkseid non-existent and the Flash into mere comic relief.

    No no that might be what he said his version is but there are games and even a comic that is called Injustice where Joker makes Superman see things using kryptonite and he sees Lois as the Joker so he goes to space with her thinking it was Joker and that way he kills her and their unborn child alike. When he comes out of it and relizes what he did he snaps and starts seeing all humanity as the enemy and Batman is apart of the group trying to stop him also in that game or some of them any way Wonderwoman is on Superman's side. It is a universe that I really wish Zach hadn't touched because it is my most hated thing they did with his story. None the less I love this movie so much and am glad he came out with it in the end. Grate reaction guys.

  • @heavycritic9554

    One of the problems with this movie, is that if you need 4 hours to tell a 2-2.5 hour story, you're not a good storyteller. The reason they couldn't get away with a 2-2.5 hour movie, is that they made the cardinal error of storytelling: They didn't lay the groundwork; and that's really bad storytelling.
    This movie proves that Marvel's way of building up to a shared universe was far superior. Marvel built up to their team-up movie, by establishing characters. DC tried to establish characters in their team-up movies - and after about 2/3 of the current run, it was announced as cancelled.

    • @The-Batman
      @The-Batman 4 месяца назад +2

      What a load of rubbish. This movie works great as 4 hours. Hell, look at the audience reviews for it. LOTR Return of the King takes 4 hours 20 to tell that story and that's great too. This "Marvel's way is the only way" is ridiculous. Yes, Marvel did a great job at building a huge collection of movies but they weren't all great and they didn't all contribute to the climax in a massively meaningful way. This was going to be a 5 part saga with spin-offs here and there. Star Wars, LOTR and X-Men didn't need solo movies for every character. As a franchise, for the first 4 movies, it was averaging more than Phase One of the MCU and close to Phase Two. The reason this universe failed is that WB listened to the crying man-babies that it was too dark and serious so they pushed the director too far so he left. They tried to do it without him and failed miserably. They had a 2nd chance when this movie came out and they dropped the ball there too.

    • @heavycritic9554
      @heavycritic9554 4 месяца назад +1

      @@The-Batman That post is a perfect example of why audience scores are never a reliable metric. You're actually comparing the story in Justice League, favourably, to the story in Lord of the Rings...
      About 99.9% of all audience scores/reviews for ZSJL are from the same people who actually thought that there was a finished "Snyder Cut" ready to be released, rather than a 100 million dollar reshoot job.
      Way too much to unpack there.
      The point is that the actual story is a 2-2.5 hour thing, and it would have been if WB and Snyder hadn't jumped the gun in order to try to make Avengers level money, without doing Avengers level work.
      There is also a difference between "far superior" and "the only way".

    • @The-Batman
      @The-Batman 4 месяца назад +1

      @@heavycritic9554 Can you back your claims up of which scores aren't reliable metrics with any facts?
      Of course, I am. They are both masterpiece trilogies
      99.9% blah blah blah. You can't show me how you got that. No one thought it was finished. There was a cut of a movie.
      $70 million was spent on FX, editing, score and he filmed 5 minutes of extra footage.
      Same with the 2-2.5 hours. I can tell it's a 4 hour story because...its 4 hours and works great with that amount of time. WB may have wanted 2 hours and you could argue Snyder should have done what they had asked. The only person who can decide ultimately how long a movie/story should be is the creator.
      Avatar made way more money than the 1st 3 Avenger movies without doing "Avenger level work" which proves it doesn't need to be done that way.
      You scoff at me thinking ZSJL is good compared to LOTR whilst you are saying that the MCU way is far superior to LOTR in the way it was done.
      It's okay to not like Zack's work or the Snyderverse but there's no need to throw baseless assumptions about it to show everyone.

    • @heavycritic9554
      @heavycritic9554 4 месяца назад +1

      Snyder's movies are a "masterpiece trilogy"? Oh dear god! 😲 Let's put a pin in that and never ever pull it out... 😆
      As for the metrics: On Rotten Tomatoes, ZSJL has about 1/4 of the number of ratings that the original (and at that time only) cut had. Practically only Snyder fanatics were interested in getting a "Snyder Cut", which a distressingly large number of people absolutely did believe existed at the time (it didn't).
      It had already been proven that less people than it appeared were interested in getting the reshot version, since there was a significant use of bots in driving the campaign.
      Most people who didn't like the original version would not be interested in watching a four hour version of the piece of shit they had already watched.
      And last but not least: Snyder fans are fanatics in the truest sense of the word; they will absolutely do everything they can to drive up ratings in order to make a Snyder movie appear more popular than it is.
      Now I'm not interested in discussing this anymore.

    • @The-Batman
      @The-Batman 4 месяца назад

      @@heavycritic9554 It's a director's cut of a theatrical movie released 4 years prior straight to streaming. Nothing you have supplied here says who voted and why.
      The campaign had less than 15% bots. The writers of the article that broke this news, it was proved that more than 25% of their followers were bots. Bots were a huge part of Twitter in general at the time. Either way. It got done no matter how it was done. Even if the fans did use tactics like that. The goal was the goal. Artistic justice.
      It crashed HBOMax servers and sold out a few times on physical media.
      Again, if you want to bring some facts by all means drop them here. Until you do it doesn't mean anything.
      You sound really salty that this movie got the release it deserved. That's fine if you want to stop. I would if I were you.
