I’m not gonna lie I shed a tear when Flash did the thing. It’s one of those moments in cinema that’s just so gorgeous and jaw dropping it left me in awe.
The whole "Flash saving the people from the falling debris scene" was the first thing that Joss Whedon cut out of the film. They finished the cgi for the scene just when he took over and he said nobody whould like this scene / whould understand what happend in this scene.

Whedon's line for Superman "You won't let me live, you won't let me die...Tell me, do you bleed?" was amazing & a great nod to the comics but it didn't make sense for this movie. Since he wasn't supposed to know who he was or who they were. Lois was supposed to make him remember. As great as that scene was, I'm glad it wasn't kept in for continuity sake.

I just realized that Diana's line "may be make him a lasso too" was a snark cause they stole her idea for bracelets, dissipating energy. thats brilliant. i needed to pay more attention.
This is the original cut of the movie :) Joss Whedon actually reshot 80% and only used 30 minutes of footage from Snyder's version. So, 3 h 30 min were already filmed in 2016 and mostly done with vfx. He did film the joker nightmare scene though last year. He polished the vfx and edit in everything that was removed and didn't use a single Joss Whedon shot.

I love how Barry jokes about the “power of love” when asked how they are supposed to defeat Steppenwolf before giving his real answer. The timing of this movie’s release right after the awful Flash episode where the actual power of love is the key to saving the day is so fucking hilarious.
I've been watching the Flash show for years now, and still think that at his best Grant is better than Ezra. But gosh dang it that last episode was so dumb. The scene of Barry turning back time here is the kind of thing I've been waiting for so long to see Grant's Flash do. I'll remain hopeful that the show can one day redeem itself, but for now, it's good to know the Flash is still getting respect somewhere

The only thing that makes sense is he was asked to cut it down to a good runtime and basically redid it so drastically in order to make a somewhat coherent story in such a significantly less amount of time. Cannot believe how different it is from the theatrical release. I wasn't that excited about this because we've seen the story already. But it's so different that I really enjoyed it. It's like watching a new story completely.

On the underwater talking scenes. My head cannon is only the people inside can hear the conversations because Vulco and Mera cant have King Orm or other Atlantians to know theg are talking to Arthur. As im guessing Atlantians can hear really well in water

This along with the allegations made by Buffy cast members tell me all I need to know. The black suit is a Solar Regeneration suit. It helps Kal-El absorb solar energy even more efficiently as he has just returned from the dead and needs to build up his cells strength. He first wore it when he died at the hands of Doomsday in the Death and Return of Superman comic series.
It was Bruce's responsibility to protect Lois. So Bruce told Diana to protect Lois and hide them in the batcave. Lex tells to Darkseid that Lois is superman's Heart. Then Darkseid boomtubes to the batcave where lois was hiding and killed wonder woman and Lois. When superman sees Lois's dead body (Lois was pregnant by the way) Superman's heart breaks. And Darkseid uses the Anti-life equation to control superman.
Black suit is to soak up the sun energy when he comes back that's why they show him arms out in front of the sun in it :) it's happened in comics / cartoon series before

The tone is still dark but the whole work is at least consistent. The unanswered question is what was Snyder's editing plan. Was this 4 hour version going to be cut down to 3 hours? Hi guys, everything in this movie was shot by Zack Snyder during principal photography in 2015-16. The only additional photography he did last year (after the Snyder Cute was announced) is the Knightmare sequence and MM/Bruce shown at the end. Most of this material was cut out and changed during reshoots by Whedon. Obviously, Zack didn't keep anything reshot by Whedon in ZSJL.

From my understanding, one of the reasons Superman chose the black suit in this film was because black absorbs light more and he immediately flew up and absorbed as much as he could.
If the cube brings Superman back to life, it can also restore the flesh particles for Cyborg (Victor) as the story of the house going up in smoke explains, right?
anti life robs people of their free will, losing lois opens superman to succumbing to anti life and darkseid's influence. It's a similar plot to injustice gods among us year 1 where Joker made superman kill a pregnant lois. kryptonite spiked joker gas made him hallucinate he was fighting doomsday. after which he killed joker for it. It was the beginning of superman becoming a global despot with his own troopers (bvs soldiers with superman logo) and JL members willing to follow this dark path of control to eliminate crime. Batman lead the resistance against superman. Seeing evil superman in bvs made me lose my shit. I could not believe snyder had the balls to do an injustice superman.
Nice seeing you all back :) This movie was great! I rewatched Man of Steel, Batman vs Superman ultimate edition before this and its nice seeing it all just flow and fit together. Cyborg, Flash and Steppenwolf just having all the development was great, especially Cyborg. But I also loved all the Alfred scenes, this made me love Jeremy Irons take on him. I've only seen 2017 movie once and one thing that irked me was Batman just not being Batman. So I was relieved to see Batman being in character. The ending fight was great, with everyone working together, overall felt epic. Parts reminded me of the JLA cartoons of the 90s, which is never a bad thing :)
Snyder should've made this film...but I know he left to his daughters death so I'm glad for that tribute in the end also for the Asian American hate attacks across the nation.
I know a lot of people think that Snyder took note of the feedback from the first one and then he went and reshot scenes for the movie but the only scenes that were added were the knightmare scene and the martian manhunter appearance at the end. Everything else was already shot back in 2016
Only 30 minutes is new material. 3 hours were original. 30 were used in the Joss cut too. Martial man hunter cameos were new, it was suppose to be John Stewart (Green Lantern) but WB wouldn't let him use that hero.

I was a doubter but it was good, it's obvious Zack changed and added some scenes, the vfx was still a little sketchy with Cyborg and other scenes. But it was good.

Guys, only 5 minutes of that whole 4 hours was "extra shoots," and most of that 5 minutes was for the nightmare sequence at the end. Basically the whole thing was what Zack Snyder shot as his original vision. I really can't believe how much Joss Whedon not only dropped from Zack Snyder's stuff, but how much stuff they re-shot. This Zack Snyder version is the version we should have gotten in 2017. Period.
I think Superman chose the Black Suit as a homage to his Kryptonian father :) If you recollect the scene in Man of Steel, just before sending Kal-el to Earth. Jor-el's suit is also black.
Great reaction guys. Glad to see you all back together again. One thing I noticed wasnt said was, the body Superman was holding is Lois. It was made to look like Batman couldnt save her. Hence why he turned evil. A few thing make me believe its Lois and not Bruce. One Superman wouldn't join Darkseid over Batman's death. Two Superman is holding what I'm assuming is a bloody cowl in the scene after when you see Kilowog. Three this is why Lois is the key. Keep her alive and Superman doesnt go evil.
Everything in the movie was the original principle photography from 2016 except for the nightmare & Martian Manhunter scenes which were shot in October.
Literally just finished the whole thing. I gotta say, a vast improvement on the 2017 edition and just a really good watch overall. Can't wait to dive into this reaction.
I am afraid when we recorded this we had major issues recording it and had to rewatch curtain bits in the last 20 mins. Sorry but we do have man of steel and hoping to do the rest of the movies soon
Oh forgot. The studio didn't let him film the black suit at the time so they made sure to have a suit that can be edited in post to be made black. They said no to the mullet and the everything. However I do think they did give hardcore fans what we wanted. After he puts on the black suit he flies to space to absorb the solar radiation. Which is supposed to be a nod to the black suit and it's original purpose. So yeah studio still stopped a part because they filmed this back in 2016.
The only new footage zack shot were the nightmare epilog & the MM scene which was originally a GL scene but because everyone knew it & it became obvious, he changed it to the MM scene. Which makes you wonder, what he had planned for GL & how awesome it could be.
I went through 20 comments I didn't see any comments talk about this. So yeah the only scenes they filmed was the end Knightmare scene. I don't know for sure but the Martian manhunter scene. But I could be wrong but your observation that Ben looks skinnier. The rest was all 2016/2017 filming. Snyder said that he included all that teasing because HBO Max approached him and said make the movie you wanted to make. Obviously with time he wanted Jared Leto Joker and Batman to interact at least once before because they never did. So all that he did was do what he was going to do as if there were sequels after this. His true vision? However I just think that was motivation for fans to keep pushing for more of his content. Which i'm game for. Love your reaction Movie was a 9/10 for me.
IMO, the Flash reverse time scene is better than the whole time heist sequence of Avengers: Endgame. This epic film is a 9.5 out of 10 for me. For the first time ever, I'm a fan of Cyborg and the Flash.

Ah Kingdom of Heaven...not many mention this epic movie. Luckily I watched only the director's cut. Ridley Scott did a fantastic job.

The only additional photography he did last year (after the Snyder Cute was announced) is the Knightmare sequence and MM/Bruce shown at the end. Most of this material was cut out and changed during reshoots by Whedon. Obviously, Zack didn't keep anything reshot by Whedon in ZSJL.

How did you guys leave the beheading of Steppenwolf out of the highlight reel? If it's because of it getting copyrighted you could still show your reaction with no audio.
From my understanding, one of the reasons Superman chose the black suit in this film was because black absorbs light more and he immediately flew up and absorbed as much as he could.

anti life robs people of their free will, losing lois opens superman to succumbing to anti life and darkseid's influence. It's a similar plot to injustice gods among us year 1 where Joker made superman kill a pregnant lois. kryptonite spiked joker gas made him hallucinate he was fighting doomsday. after which he killed joker for it. It was the beginning of superman becoming a global despot with his own troopers (bvs soldiers with superman logo) and JL members willing to follow this dark path of control to eliminate crime. Batman lead the resistance against superman. Seeing evil superman in bvs made me lose my shit. I could not believe snyder had the balls to do an injustice superman.

Nice seeing you all back :) This movie was great! I rewatched Man of Steel, Batman vs Superman ultimate edition before this and its nice seeing it all just flow and fit together. Cyborg, Flash and Steppenwolf just having all the development was great, especially Cyborg. But I also loved all the Alfred scenes, this made me love Jeremy Irons take on him. I've only seen 2017 movie once and one thing that irked me was Batman just not being Batman. So I was relieved to see Batman being in character. The ending fight was great, with everyone working together, overall felt epic. Parts reminded me of the JLA cartoons of the 90s, which is never a bad thing :)

Snyder should've made this film...but I know he left to his daughters death so I'm glad for that tribute in the end also for the Asian American hate attacks across the nation.

Only 30 minutes is new material. 3 hours were original. 30 were used in the Joss cut too. Martial man hunter cameos were new, it was suppose to be John Stewart (Green Lantern) but WB wouldn't let him use that hero.

I was a doubter but it was good, it's obvious Zack changed and added some scenes, the vfx was still a little sketchy with Cyborg and other scenes. But it was good.

Guys, only 5 minutes of that whole 4 hours was "extra shoots," and most of that 5 minutes was for the nightmare sequence at the end. Basically the whole thing was what Zack Snyder shot as his original vision. I really can't believe how much Joss Whedon not only dropped from Zack Snyder's stuff, but how much stuff they re-shot. This Zack Snyder version is the version we should have gotten in 2017. Period.
The Martian Manhunter at the end was supposed to be the Green Lantern, but the studio wouldn't let him as they have "plans".
I think Superman chose the Black Suit as a homage to his Kryptonian father :)
If you recollect the scene in Man of Steel, just before sending Kal-el to Earth. Jor-el's suit is also black.

One thing I noticed wasnt said was, the body Superman was holding is Lois. It was made to look like Batman couldnt save her. Hence why he turned evil.
A few thing make me believe its Lois and not Bruce.

Two Superman is holding what I'm assuming is a bloody cowl in the scene after when you see Kilowog.

Oh forgot. The studio didn't let him film the black suit at the time so they made sure to have a suit that can be edited in post to be made black. They said no to the mullet and the everything. However I do think they did give hardcore fans what we wanted. After he puts on the black suit he flies to space to absorb the solar radiation. Which is supposed to be a nod to the black suit and it's original purpose. So yeah studio still stopped a part because they filmed this back in 2016.
The only new footage zack shot were the nightmare epilog & the MM scene which was originally a GL scene but because everyone knew it & it became obvious, he changed it to the MM scene. Which makes you wonder, what he had planned for GL & how awesome it could be.

So yeah the only scenes they filmed was the end Knightmare scene. I don't know for sure but the Martian manhunter scene. But I could be wrong but your observation that Ben looks skinnier. The rest was all 2016/2017 filming. Snyder said that he included all that teasing because HBO Max approached him and said make the movie you wanted to make. Obviously with time he wanted Jared Leto Joker and Batman to interact at least once before because they never did. So all that he did was do what he was going to do as if there were sequels after this. His true vision? However I just think that was motivation for fans to keep pushing for more of his content. Which i'm game for.

IMO, the Flash reverse time scene is better than the whole time heist sequence of Avengers: Endgame. This epic film is a 9.5 out of 10 for me. For the first time ever, I'm a fan of Cyborg and the Flash.
