He also did it all for free, he agreed to do it and told WB if they agreed to let him finish it and Zack said he would do it for free for the fans and his daughter who had committed suicide. On thr billboard when Batman and The Flash are leaving that warehouse when Batman says his superpower is that he’s rich it says “YOU ARE NOT ALONE” which represents the Snyders anti suicide organization. That was also why Zack and his wife finished The Snyder Cut, to also raise money for suicide prevention.
As someone who as suffered lifelong anxiety and depression plus PTSD when Cyborg says “I’m not broken, and I’m not alone.” It hit me to the core. It is now something I will say to myself when I need to pull myself out of that dark place. A beautiful line that Zack Snyder said was for his daughter Autumn. And I love that they put in the billboard for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Thank You Zack Snyder! And Thank You Ray Fisher! #borglife
As a person who also has suffered from depression, This trilogy has helped me through dark times. They give me a lot of hope, especially Zack's Justice League. Cyborg's journey really touches my heart. Being able to be kind in a tragic life he is dealing with and his "I am not broken..." really makes me so emotional.
That parademon hitting Flash actually make sense since he was going so fast that he was basically 'everywhere' on that circle line, so no matter where you shoot he will be there
Exactly I’ve explained this to many people who then say oh didn’t think of that. But it bring a movie and to add drama the Parademon hits him as the unity is complete and the earth gets scorched. It’s more Ali f the lines of shooting the correct distance and not location because if he’s running at 375 feet from you then aim anywhere at 365 feet and you will hit him.
No... that doesn't make sense. Because flash also has speed perception. That's how he is not bumping into a wall every second he goes at super speed. Yes. At a given time he is at every place of that circle. But, he also can see that shot in slow motion. So... he shouldn't be shot. That's why flash is OP, and the writers screw him up every time.
Zack Snyder is shit. He's the reason the DCEU got off to such a godawful start. A mediocre, disappointing Superman, a godawful Batman v Superman that made little sense. That fact that this version of Justice League was better than the theatrical cut is faint praise. Give any director 70 million and allow them to make a 4 hour cut of a movie, and they could do better.
Well, most focused on the MCU while lambasting Snyder vision from the beginning. It's taken them this long just to actually see the Snyder cut tells you why the support wasn't there with the general audiences. At least now they realize why we always supported what Snyder wanted to do for so long.
It wasn't just Wheadon who ripped and changed 90% of things when you include it all which is...the dark tone story plot....Storyline and major character/characters removal Darkseid and his top crew and appearance of Martian Manhunter...all of that responsibility goes to WB...Joss was just their yes man/lackey...Zack had a strong feeling of what was going to be put out by Joss and WB that is why he didn't watch it during the premiere release...and why Zack tweeted not my Justice League after his wife Deborah called him right after viewing it in his stead
@@jason42080 the music was also different as well. No disrespect to Danny Elfman but his music just didn't fit into the tone that we wanted at all. Deborah Synder and Christopher Nolan told Zack not to watch what they did to his movie knowing that it would break his heart and soul.
@@jason42080 As a "go-to" director, it was mostly Wheadon's call as director, as it was his "vision". Had it been another lesser-known director, then I would agree with you that WB takes the cake. I think WB defaulted to Wheadon because of his successes prior to stepping in.
I enjoyed Batman v Superman extended version and this Snyder cut version of Justice League. Both of those longer versions make the films actual stories.
this movie is not the longer version of what we got the first time....this movie is the actual Movie we were spouse to get until WB and Joss removed 60% well actually 90% when you include removal of not just Story but also of Dark tone of story and the Plot of having Darkseid Completely after Zack and Deborah took time to heal (which was a down right dirty move) and shows that Joss was WB's Yes Man/Bit*h...in removing changing 90% of Zack's Story Dark Tone and Major Characters all together and Move it/Push It towards WB's Wanted Vision which was The Legion of Doom hence the Ending Joss and WB produced in the first release of Josstice League
This film is always going to be a testament to the power of the internet. Fans wished for it. Fans pushed for it. Fans got what they wanted. I really wish we could see where Zack Snyder was going to take the story to next. Fun reaction, as always. Keep up the great work!

With a multiverse already established in the DCEU, that is entirely possible. James Gunn's universe could be "Earth One," While Snyder's is basically "Earth Two." Sets up a future "Crisis" event rather nicely, if you ask me...
Cyborg's "auto defense system" activated because it sensed a living Kryptonian and his tech basically is a motherbox. So it sensed something powerful enough to be a deadly threat. Also, the reason Steppenwolf plays mind games with Wonder Woman only is because until Superman arrives, she's the only one that is a real threat to him, in a one on one fight. Together they could overwhelm him, so he needs her off her game to balance it out til he can fight them one on one where he has much better odds.
Exactly. The same reason the motherboxes stayed down while Superman was still alive. They're just wary of him. People forget that the motherboxes are almost living mechanisms that might be able to act on its own when it comes to otherworldly stuff, even if it's cyborg's own body.
Yeah also during their first fight together, Steppenwolf kept engaging her in a conversation, which doesn't seem to be his usual way of fighting. He was clearly distracting her.
Watching quicksilver saving those people was really fun, then after watching flash not carrying people the same way quicksilver did actually made sense because they will literally DIE from the whiplash. This movie actually made more sense physics-wise when it came to the speedster and I really appreciated that

They didn't do a Cyborg story in the 2017 movie. He was just there & briefly explained. Quite sad because many have said that Cyborg was always supposed to be the heart of this movie. -OG
WB delete his scenes, Snyder just adding back his original scenes. there's only 3 scenes that Snyder shot in COVID. 1) when martian manhunter shape shifting is in original script but Snyder said he didn't get the actor back then because actor schedule conflict in 2016. so he called him back to do it 2) knightmare dream before bat Affleck wake up 3) martian manhunter met batfleck everything else is from original scenes including Martha talks to lois lane

I got introduced to Martian Manhunter through watching the Justice League cartoon as a kid. This is definitely in my top comic-related movies for sure!
Man! I can’t describe how much I love this movie. The four hours flies by so quick. And honestly, the actual movie is about 3 hrs and 40 minutes. From the Lex Luther scene on, it’s mostly post credits stuff.
Fun fact : The superman resurrection's scene, a cop who pulls a gun out is Marc McClure. He had starred in the role of Jimmy Olsen in 'Superman' of Christopher Reeve's version.
It was soooo good. Everything was getting tied up story wise. If you do your research Zack has released many information on his "Snyderverse" and many of his character arcs came back around into a final conclusion. For example, he explained why Batfleck was so ruthless and dark and why he became so unforgiving. Zack knows what he is doing. But unfortunately we the fans and Zack got screwed over by WB.
Exactly. Batfleck had a journey to go through. He was the Billy Butcher before the Boys, and was focused from his experiences what would be the worst case scenario with Superman's power. A lot has to do with a perception of CBMs (mostly Disney). Heroes have no real growth, stakes and are the same from intro to end. So, seeing heroes or villains with actual growth or journey in questionable.

I know that WB is a piece of crap but i also kinda understand why they botch Zack's plan. They won't invest on something so grand and so time consuming for something they don't really trust. I mean just look at this movie. This movie is awesome and tied all the loose end, but the runtime is a killer for the studio. Maybe the fans will watched it, but not the general audience. Also i noticed that WB don't really want to keep the dark tone of the Snyderverse, so that's that.
@Amal Pushparaj honestly a cyborg movie wouldn't have been good in a lot of cyborgs stories I see he usually almost dies become cyborg with a motherboard than joins the heroes in a big invasion or battle. And the new 52 version happened almost just like zacks movie honestly cyborg usually have villains with the titans so it's good how zack gave him back story in the movie instead

The Snyder Cut has led so many people to fall in love with the Snyderverse. The theatrical releases of BVS and Justice League created so much confusion. This film was the puzzle piece that gave us a better view of the big picture that Zack was trying to paint. We need to keep pushing this film so more people can watch it and the streaming numbers/RUclips views can go up. If the people at Warner see that the people love the Snyderverse, then maybe there is a chance that it can be restored in the future.
Kacee you hit it right on the nail with the flash going back in time to seeing Bruce. He was too early. he even said to bruce "im too soon" and then he says "find us" Louis is the key. The 3rd Justice League Is going about them going back in time and deciding when to go back to give them the warning.
Damn Zack did a hell of a job putting so much in one movie without much build up & I totally get why some of the actors even the minor actors were pissed with their scenes being cut in the Joss Whedon version, everyone was great in this & Flash time traveling stole the film for me that & everything with cyborg & seeing Superman come back! DC definitely has more stories with Darkseid in their animated stuff if you’ve seen it

Actually Zack Snyder admitted that he never intended for that general to be martian manhunter. However, Martian manhunter is considered the heart of the justice league, and it's sad that people don't know about him, but he is really op though.
To me this is a perfect superhero movie. It feels like a graphic novel come to life. I think its presented in that square format to show that these characters are truly larger then life. It shows that in a world that's dark and unforgiving there is still hope. There are still people willing to stand up and fight no matter the cost. What really hit me the hardest was cyborg being taught his powers. Watching a single mother having no hope and cyborg deciding that he was going to help. He didn't give her a fortune but just enough to spark a bit of hope. Thats all that we of us need sometimes. A spark to help start a fire. I love the Marvel movies but stories if DC do a great job at shining the light of hope into dark places.
Ngl, I kinda hate when the heroes are these sort of slightly detatched, godly statuesque beings. In my opinion, they're at their best when they feel like people you could meet on the street somewhere. It just connects me to them more than when they feel untouchable.
Yeah, it makes sense for the justice league to feel godly, this justice league literally only has one normal human . The JL always felt to me as gods trying to be humans or stay being humanly with their powers, and the Avengers are humans trying to do what gods can. It's a nice parallel y'know.
@@DerrickVanderspoon Meh not everything has to be relatable, I prefer it when the character just gets to be themselves rather than trying to represent or relate to people on some degree. This kind of the reason why I love villains / dark stories way more cause they can just be themselves and not have to force things.

The story behind the Snyder cut is basically that Zack turned in a rough cut of his 4 hour film and WB lost their minds saying a 4 hour film was impossible to release in theatres and wanted him to cut it down to 2 hours. Zack didn't want to so they were going back and forth, then Zack's daughter passed away and he wanted time to step away from directing for a bit to be with his family and wanted more time of Justice League. WB canned him and them brought in Joss Whedon to cut Zack's 4 hour film down to 2 hours and do extensive reshoots to make the theatrical cut more funny.

I like to come back to this movie after watching anything from Phase 4 and just be reminded how great this movie is. Zack was 100% setting up an Injustice storyline. The only solace I have is that one day, when James Gunn wants to revisit Injustice in the movies, he already has a perfect setting
In the Zack Snyder Justice league, he wanted to make the Flash’s powers more realistic. That’s why he was being careful when touching Iris during the car crash because realistically, if he were to grab someone and run with them, their clothes could immediately burn off or kill them. That’s why he was being gentle and slow when saving Iris.
Then ending in the post apociliptic world is just like a teaser for where the story would of gone. He knew he wouldnt be able to finish the story. So he included this as a peek of what couldve been
Zack Snyders visuals are always top notch. He’d be perfect to adapt an anime! Give him Berserk property or something brutal. The scene with the flash saving the people from the falling building gave me DBZ vibes! It’s too dope. Not to mention he made Superman such a badass character for me, similar to how the Russo brothers made Cap cool af for me too.
He directed Sucker Punch and I always thought the visuals, fighting styles, and physics were all very anime-esque. Even the power poses with swords before running towards your enemy and the snow/debris around the character swirling like they're gathering their energy in that DBZ style.
The anti life equation in short is essentially an ancient power that is capable of destroying the idea of free will and hope. Darkseid wants it to subjugate all of existence under his rule
I love the black suit on Superman. Not only is it functional, allowing him to absorb more sunlight to recharge his Kryptonian cells, but it just looks really cool. Also, I love how he just comes in and takes Steppenwolf's axe to the shoulder saying "Not....impressed"
The cyborg vision scene is not from an alternate timeline. It’s a premonition for a future event. Darkseid gets hold of the anti life equation , kills loin lane and brainwashes a grieving Superman at the bat cave using the anti life equation to become his loyal acolyte. Batman in a rare moment of fear fails to protect Lois from Darkseid and hence in the epilogue , you see the Joker blaming Batman.
This is about the only reason I'm okay with this universe resetting. I'm absolutely tired of Superman being dark or brooding or evil. Let's let my man just be a beacon of hope and be hopeful himself.
@@MexicanMamba824 , While I respect your opinion, I found the darker DC universe under Zack Snyder quite refreshing as opposed to the regular , formulaic , cliched marvel movies. Also, Zack’s dark universe takes inspiration from the Injustice storyline from the comics. One thing which constantly annoys me is that marvel continues to take the audience for granted by churning out movies with corny and cheesy humor and the critics in the media seem to have bias that every superhero movie needs to follow the same blueprint.
I have no issues with Snyder's overall tone. In fact, I'm a big fan of his work and much of his DC stuff. Man of Steel is in my top 3 of superhero films. I'm just tired of Evil Superman. You can have a grittier world with Superman being a catalyst for its people having hope instead of him destroying it.
After watching this, and watching it again with you guys. This might crack my top 5 favorite Super Hero movies, despite being 4 hours long. Damn, Its great actually.
Joker has a Mother Box. Leto completely redeemed himself with the line about Boy Wonder. Every bad thing was the studio and not the directors or actors.

Flash is running in a circle so fast that he's practically in every spot around the circle at once so an energy beam shooting at any point on the circle is going to hit him, especially if the time it takes for the energy beam to pass through the position is longer than the time it takes for Flash to reappear at that position.

The reason Darkseid didn't remember the Anti Life Equation was on Earth was because after his defeat, Steppenwolf, who is Darkseid's uncle, lead a civil war to take down Darkseid's rule and in the process wiping out a large chunk of his archive. That's also why Desaad said that Steppenwolf betrayed his own family
Darkseid lost the mother-box that led him on Earth. The "100,00 worlds turned to dust" is his actual attempt of finding that planet which like like looking a cellphone someone lost in a middle of Sahara desert.

When the Scout Ship's computer said "The future has taken root in the present", it confirms that Superman's resurrection by the Mother Box is the catalyst for the Knightmare future to come to pass, meaning that the visions that Batman and Cyborg had *WILL* eventually happen... ...or rather they *would* have if Warner Bros. Discovery actually had a plan, trusted Zack's vision, and didn't screw up Zack himself, his team and the actors involved.

Giving Barry and Victor their completed arcs was one of the many improvements this version made on the theatrical release. I left the latter with a "Meh, that's a one time viewing" and the former with "I have to buy this on Blu-ray, which I did."
The end scene when Superman is evil, this is alternate universe. This is when Darkside comes to Earth and kills half of Earth and almost every superhero including Wonder Woman, Aquaman and etc. Then the remain alive heroes and villains team up against Darkside. The suit Flash is wearing is called The Time Travel Suit. This is the same suit Flash was wearing when he time traveled and visited Bruce and said: Lois is the key. This is basically how this whole thing starts. In this alternate timeline Bruce refuses to take a shot to save Lois and Superman goes evil. The bones Superman was holding are the bones of Lois. And there is also another timeline, where Bruce actually takes the shot and dies saving Lois. And this is basically how they win. Batman sacrifices himself and they defeats Darkside.
One of the cool things in the Superman movie when Superman was taken into custody by the general he told the general that they both needed to lay all their cards on the table about who they both are because Superman could see that the general wasn’t who he pretended to be (the Martian Manhunter).
Martian Manhunter was a main character in the Supergirl series on CW so I recognized him right away when he transformed. It was very exciting as he's quite the cool character.
The final scene was actually supposed to be Green Lantern John Stewart. They even shot it that way. But that was the one thing Warner Brothers wouldn't let Snyder put in the movie so they put in Martian Manhunter instead.
Imagine if WB kept Snyder’s original vision for JL and released it in the theaters. I feel like people would be interested to see what’s next more than the 2017 cut. The 2017 version made me go meh after watching it while Zack Snyder’s cut made me super interested to see what’s to come next, especially after seeing Bruce meeting Martian Manhunter and knowing Darkseid is coming to Earth (granted, it is 4 hrs long, so they probably would’ve cut it up to 2 hrs or so if they kept this version). But say we know what we know here for a 2 hr cut, within the span of Darkseid traveling the “old ways” to Earth, they could’ve made more standalone/other DC movies in between & build it up. So many missed opportunities. However, that’s not to say I’m not excited for James Gunn’s DCU either. I’m stoked to see what he has to offer.

The future timeline is essentially what would happen if Darkseid got hold of the anti life equation. There’s also a little influence from the “Injustice” video games.
According to snyder JL Part 2 started with injustice time line where JL got defeated and Bruce tell Barry to go back in time, cyborg create a calculation with only 2 opportunity. Flash doing flashpoint and he arrived too late, he goes back and Bruce tell him to jumpa into another time line. So Barry go back and we saw Bruce from BvS sleeping while waiting encryption. After that we got current time line with post ZSJL where Green lantern corps is in trouble and Patrick Stewart return back to earth to warn Bruce what happened in OA. After this nobody knew the story because snyder said he planning to redo screenplay
The dreams that Batman is having are not dreams, they are memories from time lines he had visited in alternate time lines. Basically it would have been explained in Justice League 2 and 3, where Batman and The Flash are using a machine called The Cosmic Treadmill which The Flash uses to try and find the timeline where Darkseid and Stepenwolf have not used the motherboxes to turn earth into a copy of Apocalypse which is Darkseid’s home planet. In the timeline where Joker appears Darkseid was able to use the morherboxes but after using then Darkseid seperates the boxes and The Joker who tricked Darkseid into believing he would serve him and could be helpful to him steals one of the motherboxes which is why he isn’t afraid of Superman who he knows won’t kill him because he needs The Joker so they can find the missing motherbox.
Steppenwolf is referring to the anti-life equation. It's here on Earth. The Anti-Life Equation is like Thanos with his Infinity Gauntlet. But instead of wiping out half of all of life everywhere in the universe, it's a path to where Darkseid would own all of existence everywhere. It's how he would bend Superman to his will and make him evil. Much like we've seen in Batman's visions of a possible dark future. Darkseid had carved it in the surface of the earth before he was driven away by the ancient heroes of the day. Darkseid escaped wounded and lost track of this world. Perhaps because he was so heavily injured. But he is already far more powerful now. Darkseid didn't even have his omega beams back when he fought ancient Earth. Something fans know Darkseid is associated with. It's like we all know Superman can fly. Darkseid has his omega beams. -OG
This movie is just incredible. Man of Steel is one of the best superhero/comic book movies ever. Batman v Superman: the Ultimate Edition, is also incredible. the worst thing about this universe was the DC executives interfering. I realize that sometimes it needs to be done, but in this case, they were the ones who ruined the universe, not ZS
They totally cut out Martian man hunter from the original justice league and cut down cyborgs part so much. This version of the movie was incredible. Its sad it won't continue. Glad you guys enjoyed it.

24:15, I remember reading a Justice League comic in which Superman and Wonder Woman had a private conversation about how the other members saw them. She said that they were both viewed as much more powerful the rest of the squad. However, Diana told Superman that on a certain level despite all of his apparent goodness, other members of the league were to a certain extent afraid of him. He is just that OP over the rest of them. This sequence shows just how much the League needs him but could also be shut down by him.
Flash has a super healing ability..and he phased through the explosion that's why he was unaffected..flash is one of the most powerful characters in DC ..😊😊😊

If WB had just stopped interfering in the movies, Zack Synder could’ve gave us an amazing through story. This version would never have made it to the screens had Snyder been allowed to complete this at the time, but it would have been a cut of this. The story boards for Justice League 2 & 3 can be viewed online but unfortunately we’ll never see these made. The story looked amazing.
Among other things, when Whedon was called in to get Justice League ready for theaters he had to get Henry Cavill back to reshoot the Superman scenes, however, Cavill was already shooting Mission Impossible and had the full mustache that he could not shave until everything was done which led to the terrible CGI on Cavill's upper lip.
God I love this movie. Wish WBD lets him conclude this story in some form. It’s just mind boggling that WB management at the time in 2017 said this film was unwatchable but then watched Josstice League with its terrible cgi, color grading, music, and horrible acting in the reshoots and said “yup that looks great let’s release it”
Just for this one thing. Flash doesn't carry anyone in this film because his suit is a prototype and we saw how he disintegrated the street in the iris scene so that's why he wasn't saving individuals at the harbour scene either
Around this movie came out i was having a really hard time (depression mostly) and a dear friend encouraged me really hard to watch this with him (he already saw the me once), he said he wante me to watch it because of the Saylas's message to Victor. It really helped a lot.
Glad you guys see the vision! It's a shame we didn't get more, but the fans are one of the strongest and most tight-knit communities that are constantly engaging in theories, discovering new easter eggs etc. (And don't believe all the "they're toxic" allegations, Star Wars, LOTR etc have way worse fanbases but no one ever hounds them for it)
The CW's Arrowverse is a great place to start. The CW Flash answers a lot of questions to Barry's back story. It would be great to see some reactions on those shows. Starting with Arrow, The Flash ( gets introduced in the 2nd season). Anyways, Take Care & God Bless.

The scene in bvs where barry comes back in time to bruce, we would have saw from the future perspective, barrys perspective, in JL3....its all in zacks storyboards he put out couple years ago, some things changed now, but core story is pretty much same, that was barry coming back from the “knightmare” future, after darkseid kills lois, takes control of superman with anti life equation, and takes over the world, basically the only way for them to save earth at that point is to send barry back in time to warn them and try to prevent it from happening, BUT way snyder explained it, they can only attempt to do it like once a year, when earth is in same rotational position, or else barry could pop out in middle of space, or ocean or something, only way they cud accurately pick location was to do it on same date, thats why when you see further vision of future in bruces dream at end, they are just trying to hide basically n survive, cause they cant beat darkseid and darkseid controlled superman, all they can do is try to survive till the date they send barry back, all bruces dreams really ARE the future, same with cyborgs vision when he plugged into ship, hes seeing it in his dreams because he was effected by the tachyons when flash came to him in batcave in bvs “from” that future

He also did it all for free, he agreed to do it and told WB if they agreed to let him finish it and Zack said he would do it for free for the fans and his daughter who had committed suicide. On thr billboard when Batman and The Flash are leaving that warehouse when Batman says his superpower is that he’s rich it says “YOU ARE NOT ALONE” which represents the Snyders anti suicide organization. That was also why Zack and his wife finished The Snyder Cut, to also raise money for suicide prevention.

As a person who also has suffered from depression, This trilogy has helped me through dark times. They give me a lot of hope, especially Zack's Justice League. Cyborg's journey really touches my heart. Being able to be kind in a tragic life he is dealing with and his "I am not broken..." really makes me so emotional.
That parademon hitting Flash actually make sense since he was going so fast that he was basically 'everywhere' on that circle line, so no matter where you shoot he will be there

Zack Snyder is shit. He's the reason the DCEU got off to such a godawful start. A mediocre, disappointing Superman, a godawful Batman v Superman that made little sense. ZS actually gave The Flash and Cyborg major parts in this cut that were ripped out by Wheadon.
What he did to Cyborg alone was just vile. Some of my favorite parts in the film are Cyborg's arc and his theme music.
It wasn't just Wheadon who ripped and changed 90% of things when you include it all which is...the dark tone story plot....Storyline and major character/characters removal Darkseid and his top crew and appearance of Martian Manhunter...all of that responsibility goes to WB...Joss was just their yes man/lackey...Zack had a strong feeling of what was going to be put out by Joss and WB that is why he didn't watch it during the premiere release...and why Zack tweeted not my Justice League after his wife Deborah called him right after viewing it in his stead

I enjoyed Batman v Superman extended version and this Snyder cut version of Justice League. Both of those longer versions make the films actual stories.
this movie is not the longer version of what we got the first time....this movie is the actual Movie we were spouse to get until WB and Joss removed 60% well actually 90% when you include removal of not just Story but also of Dark tone of story and the Plot of having Darkseid Completely after Zack and Deborah took time to heal (which was a down right dirty move) and shows that Joss was WB's Yes Man/Bit*h...in removing changing 90% of Zack's Story Dark Tone and Major Characters all together and Move it/Push It towards WB's Wanted Vision which was The Legion of Doom hence the Ending Joss and WB produced in the first release of Josstice League

With a multiverse already established in the DCEU, that is entirely possible. James Gunn's universe could be "Earth One," While Snyder's is basically "Earth Two." Sets up a future "Crisis" event rather nicely, if you ask me...

Cyborg's "auto defense system" activated because it sensed a living Kryptonian and his tech basically is a motherbox. So it sensed something powerful enough to be a deadly threat. Also, the reason Steppenwolf plays mind games with Wonder Woman only is because until Superman arrives, she's the only one that is a real threat to him, in a one on one fight. Together they could overwhelm him, so he needs her off her game to balance it out til he can fight them one on one where he has much better odds.
Exactly. The same reason the motherboxes stayed down while Superman was still alive. They're just wary of him. People forget that the motherboxes are almost living mechanisms that might be able to act on its own when it comes to otherworldly stuff, even if it's cyborg's own body.
Yeah also during their first fight together, Steppenwolf kept engaging her in a conversation, which doesn't seem to be his usual way of fighting. He was clearly distracting her.

Watching quicksilver saving those people was really fun, then after watching flash not carrying people the same way quicksilver did actually made sense because they will literally DIE from the whiplash. This movie actually made more sense physics-wise when it came to the speedster and I really appreciated that

The cop that lois brings coffee to at the superman memorial is the actor who played Jimmy Olson in the old Christopher reeve superman movies.
The scene where he turns to look at the Flash will always be my favorite.
It is a shame that this universe won't be continuing but I'm glad that we got this and that people did get excited for this.

I got introduced to Martian Manhunter through watching the Justice League cartoon as a kid. This is definitely in my top comic-related movies for sure!
Man! I can’t describe how much I love this movie. The four hours flies by so quick. And honestly, the actual movie is about 3 hrs and 40 minutes. From the Lex Luther scene on, it’s mostly post credits stuff.

It was soooo good. Everything was getting tied up story wise. If you do your research Zack has released many information on his "Snyderverse" and many of his character arcs came back around into a final conclusion. For example, he explained why Batfleck was so ruthless and dark and why he became so unforgiving. Zack knows what he is doing. But unfortunately we the fans and Zack got screwed over by WB.
Exactly. Batfleck had a journey to go through. He was the Billy Butcher before the Boys, and was focused from his experiences what would be the worst case scenario with Superman's power. A lot has to do with a perception of CBMs (mostly Disney). Heroes have no real growth, stakes and are the same from intro to end. So, seeing heroes or villains with actual growth or journey in questionable.

The Snyder Cut has led so many people to fall in love with the Snyderverse. The theatrical releases of BVS and Justice League created so much confusion. This film was the puzzle piece that gave us a better view of the big picture that Zack was trying to paint. We need to keep pushing this film so more people can watch it and the streaming numbers/RUclips views can go up. If the people at Warner see that the people love the Snyderverse, then maybe there is a chance that it can be restored in the future.
Kacee you hit it right on the nail with the flash going back in time to seeing Bruce. He was too early. he even said to bruce "im too soon" and then he says "find us" Louis is the key. The 3rd Justice League Is going about them going back in time and deciding when to go back to give them the warning.

To me this is a perfect superhero movie. It feels like a graphic novel come to life. I think its presented in that square format to show that these characters are truly larger then life. It shows that in a world that's dark and unforgiving there is still hope. There are still people willing to stand up and fight no matter the cost. What really hit me the hardest was cyborg being taught his powers. Watching a single mother having no hope and cyborg deciding that he was going to help. He didn't give her a fortune but just enough to spark a bit of hope. Thats all that we of us need sometimes. A spark to help start a fire. I love the Marvel movies but stories if DC do a great job at shining the light of hope into dark places.
The Snyder cut Justice league was pretty good. I am a fan of Snyder's dark tone style. The superheroes look like Gods like they need to be.

Ngl, I kinda hate when the heroes are these sort of slightly detatched, godly statuesque beings. In my opinion, they're at their best when they feel like people you could meet on the street somewhere. It just connects me to them more than when they feel untouchable.
Yeah, it makes sense for the justice league to feel godly, this justice league literally only has one normal human . The JL always felt to me as gods trying to be humans or stay being humanly with their powers, and the Avengers are humans trying to do what gods can. It's a nice parallel y'know.

The story behind the Snyder cut is basically that Zack turned in a rough cut of his 4 hour film and WB lost their minds saying a 4 hour film was impossible to release in theatres and wanted him to cut it down to 2 hours. Zack didn't want to so they were going back and forth, then Zack's daughter passed away and he wanted time to step away from directing for a bit to be with his family and wanted more time of Justice League. WB canned him and them brought in Joss Whedon to cut Zack's 4 hour film down to 2 hours and do extensive reshoots to make the theatrical cut more funny.

I like to come back to this movie after watching anything from Phase 4 and just be reminded how great this movie is. Zack was 100% setting up an Injustice storyline. The only solace I have is that one day, when James Gunn wants to revisit Injustice in the movies, he already has a perfect setting
In the Zack Snyder Justice league, he wanted to make the Flash’s powers more realistic. That’s why he was being careful when touching Iris during the car crash because realistically, if he were to grab someone and run with them, their clothes could immediately burn off or kill them. That’s why he was being gentle and slow when saving Iris.
Then ending in the post apociliptic world is just like a teaser for where the story would of gone. He knew he wouldnt be able to finish the story. So he included this as a peek of what couldve been

The scene with the flash saving the people from the falling building gave me DBZ vibes! It’s too dope. He directed Sucker Punch and I always thought the visuals, fighting styles, and physics were all very anime-esque. Even the power poses with swords before running towards your enemy and the snow/debris around the character swirling like they're gathering their energy in that DBZ style.
At its heart, this is a movie about fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, parents and their children.
And beating up a giant CG monster.
The anti life equation in short is essentially an ancient power that is capable of destroying the idea of free will and hope. Darkseid wants it to subjugate all of existence under his rule
I love the black suit on Superman. Not only is it functional, allowing him to absorb more sunlight to recharge his Kryptonian cells, but it just looks really cool. Also, I love how he just comes in and takes Steppenwolf's axe to the shoulder saying "Not....impressed"
The cyborg vision scene is not from an alternate timeline. It’s a premonition for a future event. Darkseid gets hold of the anti life equation , kills loin lane and brainwashes a grieving Superman at the bat cave using the anti life equation to become his loyal acolyte. Batman in a rare moment of fear fails to protect Lois from Darkseid and hence in the epilogue , you see the Joker blaming Batman.
This is about the only reason I'm okay with this universe resetting. I'm absolutely tired of Superman being dark or brooding or evil. Let's let my man just be a beacon of hope and be hopeful himself.

@@MexicanMamba824 , While I respect your opinion, I found the darker DC universe under Zack Snyder quite refreshing as opposed to the regular , formulaic , cliched marvel movies. Also, Zack’s dark universe takes inspiration from the Injustice storyline from the comics.
One thing which constantly annoys me is that marvel continues to take the audience for granted by churning out movies with corny and cheesy humor and the critics in the media seem to have bias that every superhero movie needs to follow the same blueprint.
I have no issues with Snyder's overall tone. In fact, I'm a big fan of his work and much of his DC stuff. Man of Steel is in my top 3 of superhero films. I'm just tired of Evil Superman. You can have a grittier world with Superman being a catalyst for its people having hope instead of him destroying it.

Flash is running in a circle so fast that he's practically in every spot around the circle at once so an energy beam shooting at any point on the circle is going to hit him, especially if the time it takes for the energy beam to pass through the position is longer than the time it takes for Flash to reappear at that position.

The reason Darkseid didn't remember the Anti Life Equation was on Earth was because after his defeat, Steppenwolf, who is Darkseid's uncle, lead a civil war to take down Darkseid's rule and in the process wiping out a large chunk of his archive. That's also why Desaad said that Steppenwolf betrayed his own family
Darkseid lost the mother-box that led him on Earth. The "100,00 worlds turned to dust" is his actual attempt of finding that planet which like like looking a cellphone someone lost in a middle of Sahara desert.
You were right. When the Scout Ship's computer said "The future has taken root in the present", it confirms that Superman's resurrection by the Mother Box is the catalyst for the Knightmare future to come to pass, meaning that the visions that Batman and Cyborg had *WILL* eventually happen...
...or rather they *would* have if Warner Bros. Discovery actually had a plan, trusted Zack's vision, and didn't screw up Zack himself, his team and the actors involved.

Giving Barry and Victor their completed arcs was one of the many improvements this version made on the theatrical release. I left the latter with a "Meh, that's a one time viewing" and the former with "I have to buy this on Blu-ray, which I did."
The end scene when Superman is evil, this is alternate universe. This is when Darkside comes to Earth and kills half of Earth and almost every superhero including Wonder Woman, Aquaman and etc. Then the remain alive heroes and villains team up against Darkside. The suit Flash is wearing is called The Time Travel Suit. This is the same suit Flash was wearing when he time traveled and visited Bruce and said: Lois is the key. This is basically how this whole thing starts. In this alternate timeline Bruce refuses to take a shot to save Lois and Superman goes evil. The bones Superman was holding are the bones of Lois. And there is also another timeline, where Bruce actually takes the shot and dies saving Lois. And this is basically how they win. Batman sacrifices himself and they defeats Darkside.
What was SUPER COOL is Zack Snyder had THE RIDDLER figure out the answer to the Anti-Life Equation in Justice League 2 😲😲😲😲
One of the cool things in the Superman movie when Superman was taken into custody by the general he told the general that they both needed to lay all their cards on the table about who they both are because Superman could see that the general wasn’t who he pretended to be (the Martian Manhunter).
Martian Manhunter was a main character in the Supergirl series on CW so I recognized him right away when he transformed. It was very exciting as he's quite the cool character.
The final scene was actually supposed to be Green Lantern John Stewart. They even shot it that way. But that was the one thing Warner Brothers wouldn't let Snyder put in the movie so they put in Martian Manhunter instead.
Imagine if WB kept Snyder’s original vision for JL and released it in the theaters. I feel like people would be interested to see what’s next more than the 2017 cut. The 2017 version made me go meh after watching it while Zack Snyder’s cut made me super interested to see what’s to come next, especially after seeing Bruce meeting Martian Manhunter and knowing Darkseid is coming to Earth (granted, it is 4 hrs long, so they probably would’ve cut it up to 2 hrs or so if they kept this version). But say we know what we know here for a 2 hr cut, within the span of Darkseid traveling the “old ways” to Earth, they could’ve made more standalone/other DC movies in between & build it up. So many missed opportunities. However, that’s not to say I’m not excited for James Gunn’s DCU either. I’m stoked to see what he has to offer.

I have watched the Snyder Cut 4 times now. Each time I did it in one shot.
This trilogy was once in a life time experience.
The future timeline is essentially what would happen if Darkseid got hold of the anti life equation. There’s also a little influence from the “Injustice” video games.
According to snyder JL Part 2 started with injustice time line where JL got defeated and Bruce tell Barry to go back in time, cyborg create a calculation with only 2 opportunity. Flash doing flashpoint and he arrived too late, he goes back and Bruce tell him to jumpa into another time line. So Barry go back and we saw Bruce from BvS sleeping while waiting encryption.
After that we got current time line with post ZSJL where Green lantern corps is in trouble and Patrick Stewart return back to earth to warn Bruce what happened in OA. After this nobody knew the story because snyder said he planning to redo screenplay
The dreams that Batman is having are not dreams, they are memories from time lines he had visited in alternate time lines. Basically it would have been explained in Justice League 2 and 3, where Batman and The Flash are using a machine called The Cosmic Treadmill which The Flash uses to try and find the timeline where Darkseid and Stepenwolf have not used the motherboxes to turn earth into a copy of Apocalypse which is Darkseid’s home planet. In the timeline where Joker appears Darkseid was able to use the morherboxes but after using then Darkseid seperates the boxes and The Joker who tricked Darkseid into believing he would serve him and could be helpful to him steals one of the motherboxes which is why he isn’t afraid of Superman who he knows won’t kill him because he needs The Joker so they can find the missing motherbox.
This is the ultimate proof that studio suits should just write the checks and let the filmmakers make the films.
Steppenwolf is referring to the anti-life equation. It's here on Earth. The Anti-Life Equation is like Thanos with his Infinity Gauntlet. But instead of wiping out half of all of life everywhere in the universe, it's a path to where Darkseid would own all of existence everywhere. It's how he would bend Superman to his will and make him evil. Much like we've seen in Batman's visions of a possible dark future.
Darkseid had carved it in the surface of the earth before he was driven away by the ancient heroes of the day. Darkseid escaped wounded and lost track of this world. Perhaps because he was so heavily injured. But he is already far more powerful now. Darkseid didn't even have his omega beams back when he fought ancient Earth. Something fans know Darkseid is associated with. It's like we all know Superman can fly. Darkseid has his omega beams. -OG

24:15, I remember reading a Justice League comic in which Superman and Wonder Woman had a private conversation about how the other members saw them. She said that they were both viewed as much more powerful the rest of the squad.
However, Diana told Superman that on a certain level despite all of his apparent goodness, other members of the league were to a certain extent afraid of him. He is just that OP over the rest of them. This sequence shows just how much the League needs him but could also be shut down by him.

If WB had just stopped interfering in the movies, Zack Synder could’ve gave us an amazing through story. This version would never have made it to the screens had Snyder been allowed to complete this at the time, but it would have been a cut of this.
The story boards for Justice League 2 & 3 can be viewed online but unfortunately we’ll never see these made. The story looked amazing.
Snyder said he not using that old screenplay because this movie ended differently from his vision. so he need to adapt and make a new screenplay

Among other things, when Whedon was called in to get Justice League ready for theaters he had to get Henry Cavill back to reshoot the Superman scenes, however, Cavill was already shooting Mission Impossible and had the full mustache that he could not shave until everything was done which led to the terrible CGI on Cavill's upper lip.

It’s just mind boggling that WB management at the time in 2017 said this film was unwatchable but then watched Josstice League with its terrible cgi, color grading, music, and horrible acting in the reshoots and said “yup that looks great let’s release it”
Just for this one thing. Flash doesn't carry anyone in this film because his suit is a prototype and we saw how he disintegrated the street in the iris scene so that's why he wasn't saving individuals at the harbour scene either

Around this movie came out i was having a really hard time (depression mostly) and a dear friend encouraged me really hard to watch this with him (he already saw the me once), he said he wante me to watch it because of the Saylas's message to Victor. It really helped a lot.
Glad you guys see the vision! It's a shame we didn't get more, but the fans are one of the strongest and most tight-knit communities that are constantly engaging in theories, discovering new easter eggs etc. (And don't believe all the "they're toxic" allegations, Star Wars, LOTR etc have way worse fanbases but no one ever hounds them for it)

Mcu had backstory movies and then avengers, snyderverse basically starts with "infinity war" then we could've gotten backstory movies on them then "age of ultron" and then more heroes, and then "Endgame"
The scene in bvs where barry comes back in time to bruce, we would have saw from the future perspective, barrys perspective, in JL3....its all in zacks storyboards he put out couple years ago, some things changed now, but core story is pretty much same, that was barry coming back from the “knightmare” future, after darkseid kills lois, takes control of superman with anti life equation, and takes over the world, basically the only way for them to save earth at that point is to send barry back in time to warn them and try to prevent it from happening, BUT way snyder explained it, they can only attempt to do it like once a year, when earth is in same rotational position, or else barry could pop out in middle of space, or ocean or something, only way they cud accurately pick location was to do it on same date, thats why when you see further vision of future in bruces dream at end, they are just trying to hide basically n survive, cause they cant beat darkseid and darkseid controlled superman, all they can do is try to survive till the date they send barry back, all bruces dreams really ARE the future, same with cyborgs vision when he plugged into ship, hes seeing it in his dreams because he was effected by the tachyons when flash came to him in batcave in bvs “from” that future
The whole JL2 was basically gonna take place IN that post darkseid taking over world, we were gonna see the invasion of earth and them loose, then barry wud give them a reset, and JL3 wud have been them getting the do over, bruce save lois and sacrifice himself, and they come together and win and save earth.....then after JL3 they were going to do THE REAL flashpoint n reset things
