mr. jinks yes. You will just have to roll with the punches. Cancel plans if you must. Don’t feel guilty for not getting much done. Don’t pressure yourself to do much. If you do you may stress yourself out and feel the need to have nicotine. Slowly and organically get back into life stuff without overdoing it. For me I had to just work and pretty much lay on my ass in between shifts for a while before I slowly started doing other things. But trust me it’s worth it

9 days ago, I had a moment of absolute anger and frustration. I said to myself, "That's it. I am so sick of smoking, I HATE that I am addicted. I'm going to get a plan in place, and quit for good this time." I immediately cut back from more than a pack a day to 10-12, and began to mentally prepare myself for a full quit. I'm not there yet, but these videos are echoing all of my thoughts and self-examinations. Last night, I had a bad dream (like I normally do), but I became aware I was dreaming. I asked the dream character, "What do you want?" And he replied, "I'm stressing you out so you'll wake up and have a cigarette!" I said, "But you are a part of my own mind. Why do you want to destroy my efforts?" He responded, "Because I am your addiction, and you are trying to kill me." I said, "No. You are the part of me that IS addicted, and I am trying to HEAL you. Stop sabotaging me and get on board." My cravings have been much less intense today, the time between cigarettes is longer. Some deep mental blocks are breaking down. Thank you for these videos. I think I will actually succeed this time.

I started smoking at the age of 15. I'm 37 today. I don't have any health issues yet. I'm fit/ muscular and I work out. I switched from cigarettes to vaping about a year ago. The difference is unreal. Cigarette smoking did make me loose a few teeth, but other than that I'm strong and healthy. If you have been a smoker for many years I suggest you switch to vaping since ceasing smoking ain't going to work especially if you started at my age. I tried quitting, it just doesn't last... you relapse shortly after, but vaping helps me stay away from cigarettes.
I honestly don't care if I die from vaping in the future. I don't have kids and don't ever want any. I'm happy with my life and I don't want to reach old age. I think reaching old age such as 80 is repulsive. What is the point of it? I don't want to be a living zombie. I say this because I'm around old people a lot and I see how tragic their existence is. I'd rather live a shorter life. Unfortunately my grandma who was a heavy smoker since she was in her teens reached 92. If not doctor's she would have lived even longer, but she hated her life and wanted to die. All of her friends were already dead, she was the last to go. So my advice is... maybe think well whether you really want to prolong your life.

i find that your video is focused on the impact of smoking on the body rather than nicotine. Nicotine as a chemical is natural and produced in the nightshade family of plants. It is used recreationally and pharmaceutically. you are extremely focused on the negative impact of smoking on the body. the data you have provided is based on the results from smokers who consume nicotine into their bloodstream though smoking cigarettes. However, we know that a cigarette does not just contain nicotine. it contains formaldehyde, lead, arsenic, ammonia and other toxic chemicals. these negative impacts you have addressed are a consequence of all of these many chemicals and not nicotine only. Personally, you have addressed a biased view of a CORRELATION between nicotine consumption and the negative impact Which is not the root CAUSATION. i see a negative bias where only the negative impact on the body is addressed.
I understand that the purpose of the video is to deter smoking and enable smokers to quit progressively. however, when facts are distorted to suit the purpose of the content, it can become very dangerous and take on an adverse effect. I appreciate what you do but i am sincerely disappointed by what i just watched. here is the truth - the compound Nicotine in itself does not cause cancer at all and it produces very minimal cardiovascular risk. people die from the tar. In fact, there has been many research that shows Nicotine actually can be used as mood enhancers or cognitive enhancer for those diagnosed with ADHD. Studies show that nicotine can reduce the risk of parkinsons by over 60%. E-cigarettes and nicotine patches have the potential to save millions of lives and it would be reductionist to dismiss all of this by focusing on the negative effects of tobacco cigarettes.

@@CBQMethod thank you for your reply. I admit I was wrong about the evidence source. Its really good that you took the time to list out the research papers in detail. Nonetheless, this does not affect my perspective. Nicotine gum and patches are different from pure Nicotine consumption. It is common knowledge that nicotine gum has been known to lead to mouth ulcers when it is directly exposed to the gums and enamel. I am referring to Nicotine as a naturally occurring compound and not as its varied product. When I first came across the video, I was under a different impression and I apologize. However, the perceived individual benefits of nicotine consumers far outweigh their actual cost ( lung damage, ulcer..). You may want to consider recognizing that and providing a balanced perspective.
The message you are sending out is " dont consume nicotine products because your body will suffer from A, B, C..". It isn't very helpful. When someone purchases a cigarette in Singapore, the packaging already contains vivid graphic images of cancers and warnings. Yet, people are undeterred and the tobacco cigarettes industry is booming. We can't ignore the problem if we want to solve it.

Just remember in your head that the withdrawal is only temporary, and it’s a sign your getting past it. A good method is you can take a nap, or go for a walk when you get a strong craving. You really have to want to quit for good though and realize that it is slowly killing you and reducing your lifespan.

    • @SolutionsNotPrayers

Quit caffeine first. Caffeine aids in addiction. Caffeine gets you stressed out, nicotine calms you down. Also, around 5pm take some melatonin and take a nap. If you can go 3 days without nicotine, the nicotine will be out of your system, the rest is just habit. Maybe switch your nicotine gum flavor out with another similar non-nicotine flavor gum. If you quit caffeine, first day you will be very tired. My first day without caffeine, I slept 15 hours. Use the sleep time to avoid the nicotine.

Right? They go hand in hand for me. Both or nothing. Viscous cycle. I guess it’s better to be on that cycle than cocaine/alcohol lol but it’s still a pain in the ass when I’m back on it. I notice when I quit for a while things start going well for me or I get bored and I think I can handle it and it’s on the cycle all over again. Horrible and frustrating existence while trying to just live my life.

Hi Jae, thanks for your comment. When you stop vaping, you experience nicotine withdrawal. Headaches is part of the withdrawal symptom. Withdrawal is the healing and adjusting process where nicotine and toxins leave your body and it doesn't have to be a painful process! How you experience the withdrawal depends on your overall health, your mindset, and your nutrition, and it can actually be a good thing because it's a sign that your mind and body are healing. This video below explains the 6 ways you can embrace, even enjoy, the withdrawal:

And in this video, you will find the complete list of all the physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms, how long they last, and tips to face them.

99% mental 1% physical. It’s literally nothing to quit nicotine it’s out of your body completely and 72 hours. What happens after that 72 hours is a mental obsession has nothing to do with nicotine in your body. It is all gone by then. Good luck you can do it.

Nicotine cannot cause emphysema. It has nothing to do with the alveoli of lungs. Nicotine does not cause atherosclerosis, that is caused by smoking. You are not discussing nicotine apart from a cigarette and this presentation is very unscientific just looking at those 2 points.

I think old age leads to less dopamine in the brain. So nothing feels as good as it did in youth. I think you are giving nicotine a worse rap than is real. Smoking is a unique addiction. Inhaled smoke is extremely toxic.
