@@TheRetroManRandySavage Well the situation is the same with every other brands too. I’m a sneakers collector and i mainly have nike air maxes but i also have or had other brands like adidas, reebok, puma. I think manufacturers will never be able to use the good old materials because of the modern day standards and the costs. The demands are higher for these sneakers than before because every sneakers fan knows the 90’s was the golden era for all sneakers brand. I also have experienced the quality differences on my all time favourite adidas firebird tracksuit (Run Dmc style). The fabric is far not the same what i used to have back than. I found a tag inside what is saying “made with recycled plastic” It is sad to see where the world is heading now.
True. The glues, rubbers and plastics all used these day's are all made differently because it's apparently better for the environment. I have lots of og shoes where the midsole is still bonded to the upper. But a lot of retros I have the midsole is separating because the bond is no longer. So we have to now spend tons of money for shoes that won't last half as long. Bug shame indeed.
@@TheRetroManRandySavage yeah man it’s all about the dirty money. The other thing what i hate is their marketing strategy like when the manufacturers not making constantly the og models just releasing them in every 5-6th years so that way they making peoples feel like they suffering a huge loss if they not paying the high retail prices and at the same time they created a new market for resellers so basicly these shoes getting less available for the peoples. I recently scrolled the ebay after a pair of retro adidas eqt shoes which i have always wanted since i was a 10 years old kid and the price tag is over $220 now and it will just go up.
@@NZotyoka81 it's definitely getting harder to pick up OG's for a reasonable price. The Reebok blacktop line on Ebay is rediculous. Way too expensive. And seller's think people will pay it. And it's all Reeboks fault because like you say, they aren't releasing them enough. The blacktop battleground 1's was given a retro in 04 and 09. And the blacktop battleground 3's was brought back around 2014. So it's basically been almost 10 years since the last retro. That's rediculous. I wouldn't mind paying a bit extra. What I'm not doing is buying anymore Reebok pumps until they start putting in og quality tech and they start bringing back older models like the blacktop, sxt and cxt lines.
Whoever is making these kinds of decisions at Reebok needs firing. 🙏🏻👊
@@TheRetroManRandySavage agreed. I'd happily buy more kicks (at a tad bit higher price) if it means better materials and tech.
@@qhorton6743 they aught to start marketing them to today's youth.
I can't even remember the last time I seen a Reebok sneaker advertised on TV.
I'm sure kids would go nuts for them if they knew about the pump. If that got revenue up then Reebok would hopefully start putting superior materials back in their shoes.
Reebok needs a complete change in management. This once iconic brand is in tatters! The new Iverson DMX's has a DMX system that doesn't work! Its just for show ! SHOCKING ! We need to call them out !! and to think they charging 170 USD for them !! THEFT !!
Wow, I didn't know that about the DMX in modern reebok. That's rediculous, although I'm not surprised seeing as though the hexalite and ers is now fake too. Shame on Reebok! They will just continue to lose loyal old sneaker heads if they don't fix up fast.🙏🏻👊
Да у меня есть винтажные reebok в девственном состоянии , так что это не сенсация
Hey bro.
Thanks for watching.
Can't beat the old pump systems. Much better than the ones from today. 🙏🏻👊
The hexalite is laughable even reeboks are the most comfortable sneakers. I had 2 z pumps and they were great but the bump parts not lasting long.
Unfortunately the plastics and rubber used in modern retros are rubbish. They start crumbling after 10 or 15 years. The pump on my 2004 89 pump hi has crumbled. 🙏🏻👊
If they released more regularly it would stop greedy resellers from charging extortionate prices.
