This mashup just repeated 3 chords of the verse. The original song had complex time signatures and off key chords. But still one of the best mashups tho.

im by no means a pop fan, but i always (secretly) thought katy perry's chorus in this song was pretty solid. i can't believe how good it sounds with an actually good instrumental backing...really nice job putting this together

Katy’s voice is very powerful, I listen to strictly metal and hardcore and I can see she shines with actual instruments instead of those lame ass pop beats. If she wasn’t so rich I bet she would be down to collab in some way but we will never see that I’m 100% sure on that.

We have to realize Periphery is sadly a total niche band. We all think they should be WAY more popular than they are because of their insane talent, but it's just not what most people want to hear these days. Think way back when Aerosmith collaborated with Run DMC with "Walk this way", that was when metal was mainstream music to the point where radio stations and super markets were blasting Metallica songs. That's when this kind of collab was possible, but that was long before I was even on this planet in solid form.
It makes me tear up to think, what if they did this on New Years, just to freaking do it. I know they both do their own thing, but both fanbases would be exposed to a brand new type of music, would be freaking sick.
