This looked so good! Made me smile! I am in Alberta, and pretty much do everthing up the same way. I grinned ear to ear seeing the extra stuffing going into the good old foil packet! Always have one of those every turkey dinner too! Your buns looked beautiful! A friend here married a fella from NFLD and she introduced me to salt beef and chicken dinners and Jigs Dinner. So good! Have a great day!
Aw Tamara loved this brought memories back when the children were home and gathered about the table for Sunday dinner. The kids would give a blessing they were thankful for and they certainly would have been thankful for this meal you so lovingly made. Those buns looked beautiful!! Had to smile at you forgetting the dressing that is the first think I always put on my plate......a big bread lover! Just a lovely video.💝
Watching you cook is making me want to start cooking my meals at home. I respect your efforts in making such a wonderful meal for your family. I must uninstall my Uber Eats and start making more efforts to cook at home. Also, I love how you can easily work with both your hands. My right hand is my dominant hand 😅
@@newfoundlanderoverlander I only have one suggestion, as I watch you prepare this delicious family meal... ❤😊 I would use a potato peeler for all the vegetables, as too much goodness ends up in the refuse bin. Just saying.
Looks awesome! My grand-daughter and I make a "boiled supper" in much the same manner. It is a Maritime thing I reckon. Great video! I could smell it cooking. Delish!
I'm a Cape Bretoner, so watching you do all that cooking just makes me smile, makes me remember standing beside my GrandMother in the kitchen beside the oil fired Enterprise stove and waiting for the food to cook. Nobody can make gravy as flavorful as her, and I think you do that same thing. All the gravy reciepes that I read say to take a 1/4 cup of the juice from the roasting pan, but you dumped that whole thing into the pot to make gravy, haha .. That's the flavor right there ... GrandMa would also scrape all the stuck pieces off of the bottom of the roaster if there were any, AND she would use the veggie water instead of plain water because of the flavour AND the natural starch that is in the potato water. Right now, I'm in lazy mode here in Halifax, Nova Scotia doin' nuttin', just watching RUclips, but I have a huge pork shoulder ham in the fridge, last night I picked up Yukon Gold potatoes, sweet onions, turnip, cabbage, parsnips, carrots, black peppercorns, bay leaves and more. After watching your video, I'm just going to load everything in the roaster and cook for 5 hours and enjoy.
Hey, Tamara that was a fun video. You certainly are a good cook and love to cook my daughter is the same way she loves to cook for her husband she cooks from scratch you are so much fun you always make my day you and your family. Be safe out there.🇺🇸♥️😎🙏👍🧅🥔🍗🇨🇦
Hmm...looks familiar but my mamm took time washing and brining the bird, stuffing is still my fav...just a little different, can never get it the same as mother
@@newfoundlanderoverlander I scrub mine and cook and mash them with skins on a friend did this years ago and really fell in love with them. Less peeling is always more appealing to me! LOL
I don’t think I ever saw her skim off the impurities from the meat. I always thought that it was strongly recommended that you get the broth as clear as possible. Every thing looked delicious. My favorite meal to make is Sunday dinner. There is real satisfaction in feeding your family a special meal n Sunday after church. The food and fellowship are making memories that last forever.
Like #118. Nothing Simple about a Sunday Dinner. You did a SUPER JOB!🧑🍳🧑🍳!

You're obviously a great chef 👩🍳. Hard for me on a diet lol😅

I was raised on this , except never chicken but a ham butt. More fat than lean. All was boiled…salt and pepper. Started to eat out around age ten!
Sorry I'm running late, I'll be right over for dinner. Fix me up a plate and keep it warm 😋
No savory ? That a million dollar fine.
Summer Savoury in dressing and all over the chicken.
Looks good there Tamara.
Man that’s better then any restaurant I know great job 👏
Wow…..looks deadly!!!!

What can i say i am so stuffed right now.
You should use your carrot peeler to do your potatos less waste
Yes eh 🙌🏻

Damn that makes me hungry!

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
my mom would kill to get a bucket of salt beef here in saskatchewan
Yes eh its too bad its all the way back east 🥺
Why boil everything …… when you could boil everything. But seriously love you.
Hey Tamara
Meowww!
Would have been a lot nicer if you had roasted all the vegetables to accompany the roast chicken.

What impurities?🤔
That’s were the flavor is🤯😔
What meat was it
No savoury. Try a little bit of sage.
wash the carrots and potatoes dont be wasteful
The scum is floating in the pan ..thouldnt it should be skimmed off?
I’m homesick for jigg’s dinner. Looks awesome
