As far as I understand the storm shadow is STEALTH and has significantly reduced radar cross section making the whole detection and tracking of storm shadow a super hard task
Yeah couple of decoys found and two consecutive days of facilities being hit, one of Storm Shadows main features is also its ability to be programmed to follow a complex route navigating around short range SAM sites. Luhansk People's Republic said yesterday that in one attack two Storm Shadow and one MALD were used with both Storm Shadows hitting their targets in Luhansk calling the Russian governments claims of intercepting the aircraft that carried out the strike bullshit.
@@lukapretegiani3348 I am basing that off of previous targeting Ukraine did with HIMARS. They aimed for Command and Control points or major supply points. And the explosion reported wasn't talking about multiple fires or secondary explosions after so that gives the assumption of a hit against a command post.
@@fopmstru1 I dont think the Gepards ever got the upgrade for programmable airburst ammo? At least not in german service, IIRC they just got a device measuring bullet speed or so at the front. But the Gepards' gun is a quite common Oerlikon, which exists in many variants. Skyranger got a 30mm one with programmable airburst ammo.
We had one of those blimp shaped balloons break free from its mooring at Aberdeen proving grounds and drag a foot thick cable across multiple states, damaging power lines and other stuff. Came within 20 miles of my house. They shot it down with a F-16.
Admittedly, made me do a double check on wiki, but 20 years really isnt that old, came out shortly before the F-22 and GMLRS missiles. And ofc probably got upgraded a lot too. American Tomahawks are from the 80s, for comparison.
Yeah we had to worry so much about the ruzzian wonderweapons that I think we over compensated. Look at patriot shooting down the 'hypersonic' missiles! It makes you think. I mean the second best military in the world is now the second best military in Ukraine 😂
You could probably simulate a MALD-B in DCS by having a plane with a missile visual model of similar turbojet powered winged design to Stormshadow and a really high RCS that just flies in circles on a pre-set flightpath soaking up SAM's, though not sure if you would have to give it a dummy warhead for DCS units to see it as a threat. MALD-J you couldnt do because of area jamming not being properly implemented in game but essentially rather than trying to spoof search radar the MALD-J generate so much radio noise in the bands of the FCR radar that they are saturated and literally can only see the decoy and so cant get a lock on other genuine aircraft despite their search radar being able to see them. MALD-B weigh 300lbs and have a range of 500nm and work by simulating the radar return of a fighter or bomber (programmable profiles) while mimicking their subsonic speed, waypoint manoeuvring and formation flying. Though looking at the US's public program performance reports of the MALB-B and MALD-J from a decade ago they had serious issues with navigation and a lot of them had to be self destructed for flying off course during testing, and thats a decade after their introduction.
Storm Shadow is such a cool missile. And the name, if that doesn’t tell you it’s badass then I don’t know what will. Brits have always had a legendary reputation for naming their toys: Spitfire, Scimitar, Vulcan, Harrier, the list goes on.
I read that the Russians would turn their track radars off when friendly fighters were in the air since the cold war, but in Soviet/Russian doctrine Sams come first and airborne interceptors come second in operational priority.
For what the gentleman was talking about with the programmable projectiles fired from a canon, look up the Oerlikon AHEAD program. From what I've seen of it, it comes in multiple calibers for an array of platforms that it can be mounted on. Impressive stuff.
Yeh Rheinmetall offers the Skyranger wiht a 30mm ahead gun as a kind of Gepard successor. A single smaller gun, but makes it up with airburst ammo and AA quad launcher (eg stinger or so). Denmark actually bought that system recently. Hoping Germany follows up!
I think the reason Patriot doesn’t have it’s own long range ground based Radar is because doctrine says that they will rely on airborne networked platforms such as Apache or AWACS.
I was wondering about that, too, and I would guess it's because of the type of threats America would usually encounter. The US always fights in an air superiority situation, so airborne radar platforms are always available to track low-flying cruise missiles. Anyone else using the Patriot should think about supplementing the radar array with something to boost its low-level detection radius.
It's not just a penetrating warhead, which typically uses mass and speed to penetrate, which costs fuel which costs range. Storm Shadow's warhead is a tandem charge, which uses chemical energy to penetrate, creating a channel for the main charge.
Ukraine has already used the Storm Shadow in conjunction with ADM-160B decoy missiles. They successfully destroyed Russian military targets in Luhansk. I don't know if you have ADM-160 missiles in the game.
I got some info on how they deconflict the SAMs and aircraft. There is IFF systems but they are either not reliable or older equipment can't use it. So they will send out notices to SAM operators that the air force is operating in this area at this time. And so there are zones and times where the SAM is to consider air targets friendly. So the SAMs can stay on, but its easy to make a mistake and shoot at your own guys or to let targets through as they are coming through a air zone designated friendly.
In reality there are probably more BUK systems out there than Pantsir since the Pantsir is probably helping to guard S400s from drones and possibly GMLRS or JDAM-ERs.
Most SAMs and SHORAD systems have a real problem with stuff that flies as low as Storm Shadow - the interception rate was far too high. Of course when you are operating in a desert flat like environment you are giving the Storm Shadows an enormous disadvantage.
There's a new video out showing a Pantsir firing at a passing Storm Shadow and missing two shots. The first missile goes wildly off course and the second had to chase the Storm Shadow and missed somehow. The Storm shadow was very close to the Pantsir, so close the Pantsir lost visual for a moment as Storm Shadow passed by.
I'd love to see some of these simulations done when the SAM site is not directly nearby. So can a SAM site defeat a cruise missile as it flies 10-15 miles away. Can a SAM site defend a factory on the other side of a medium sized city?
Those SA-15 Tors were facing the wrong way, the turret and radar took too much time to respond. They should be facing into the most probable direction of incoming attack.
ADM-160 MALD is a decoy designed to fly around and get shot down....lol Seriously, it is used to attract the Air defense, so missiles like the Storm Shadow can get through. The MALD has all kinds of tech to detect Air defense systems when they fire at it. Which is used for counter fire. It has no warhead, either. This would most likely be used with the Storm Shadow missile, making everything more effective.
I heard Putin say that the storm shadow makes multiple random directional /height flight changes “jinking” or swerving this would make the missiles more difficult to intercept.
A big balloon up in the air a decent distance can see incoming things yes, but it can also show the enemy where you are protecting, so big liability as well.
Nice presentation ! I have tested SCALP fired from RAFALE B MOD in Liberation 6.1.1. Caucasus and PG maps and programing them to fly from a WP to TGT some 150ft ALT it will destroy SA 2,3,5,6,11,15,17,19 and in some ocasions SA 10 when SUPERHORNET mod is used to jamm with EA -18G as part of package!Sure thing RED AD is set to excellent and using Hi digit SAMS.
Well, kinda, indirectly. We believe that extra concern about the use of Storm Shadows has caused Russian Air defence to become extra paranoid, and that may have resulted in a couple of friendly fire incidients.
Actually, The SA-12/S-300V did intercept all of the Iskander-M's in your video (Using the 9m82 missile). The system even managed to down one of the Iskander-K cruise missiles (Using the smaller 9m83 missile). It was the SA-10/S-300P who had trouble due to not having the proper radar (Clamshell radar) given to it (An ingame issue).
Tbh my trust in russian AA/AB systems is pretty limited at this point. Even an S-400 struggles to shoot down basic GMLRS missiles, but Patriot takes down "indestructable" Kinzhals? Kinda reverses the previous hype of S-400 being world class and Patriot bad. Of course, the systems still work, even S-300 are a big reason russia has no air superiority. But more advanced russian/soviet AB/networking capabilities seem suspect.
@@termitreter6545 I doubt it, cause the "interception" of the Kinzhal missile is quite unconfirmed. Because Ukraine claimed to have shot down 6 or so Kinzhals, while the Russians have said they never even fired that many in the first place. Plus the claimed wreckage of the Kinzhal missile doesn't have any similarity with the design of a Kinzhal, it looks more like a FAB-500. Also both the Kinzhal & Iskander-M aren't ballistic missiles, but rather semi-ballistic missile with cruise missile type capability. And just like any other missile they more or less have decoys & ECM to jam and throw off the incoming missile. Russia will hype their air defence system just like any other country it's natural. But US sanctioned many countries that have acquired S-400 systems, which could indicate that US does see it as a threat. If it wasn't capable, they simply wouldn't have been that serious in this regard
@@Mgaming61 NATO does consider russians SAM as a huge threat USA wanted to sanction Serbia over S300 and BUK system, which is the reason why Serbia got chinese FK3 Serbian military wanted S300PMU1 or PMU2 system i think PMU2, BUK and Pantsir to guard them, then Serbia bought Pantsir S1 and for the next month everyone talked about Serbia buying Russian SAMs and USA warned about possible sanctions, so Serbia gave up on S300 and BUK, but ordered 2 more batteries of Pantsir S1M and bought 4x FK3 from China which wasn't seen as a nice move by russians, after they and Belarus basically gave away aircrafts for free to Serbia
@@termitreter6545 Are you dumb? S-400 does not shot at some small missiles at all and Patriot didn't intercept anything, it was simply destroyed after wasting 150 million dollars.
Well actually in DCS they seem to fly quit high. I think on the wiki-page there is the flight alt up to 130 ft of ground. I dont know how they will evade trees and buildings and powerlines at that altitude but you are comparing all the stuf in DCS with a wiki page so i thought i can do the same :)
the US doesn't use super tall or even very large mobile radars because 1. It doesn't fit their envisioned combat needs. 2. They plan to have complete air dominance in an area before boots are on the ground.(in western militaries aircraft are highly networked with SAMs etc & are used as an extension of AA systems)
That's the problem with 20mm, it is too small for fancy fuses. Fill the projectile with fuze and you reduce the load of HE. Phalanx is old. You need 30mm.
CAP plz do a 2030 Britain carrier strike with 56 f-35 on QE carrier, two type 26 with FC/ASW hypersonic anti ship cruise missile and type 45 with 72 vls (48 Sylver + 24 CAMM)
That would be awesome! But GR still waiting for the Type 26 Frigate mod and for the modernisation for the Type 45s. And no, the FC/ASW will be a supersonic(Mach 3-4), stealth anti-ship missile not a hypersonic one.
I'd like to see the Storm Shadow vs the Kerch bridge, but it ought to be accompanied by other long range HIMARS or possibly Neptune missiles. Even if they can't reach the target they could function as SAM sponges. (Have Cortana plan the attack and tell her we want as many distractions as possible, so long as they are realistic)
The railway line has a rich supply of bridges in Crimea proper that, if taken out, would render the Kerch Bridge effectively useless for supply purposes. These are likely to be way less defended. I would go for the bridge over the North Crimea canal at 45.180N, 35.431E. Not only causing supply problems but also causing issues with the water supply to Kerch 🙂
Hey Cap, interesting how you talk about the US and balloons for the patriot sites. They actually use balloons to track boats off the Florida keys! It’s a balloon that can be as high as 14500ft up on a tether and just has a radar pointing down at the sea looking for any size of boats coming from the south.
The US doesn't use the peek a boo radar as you called it because of our heavy use of AWACS and drones. And our newer patriot systems are supposed to have IFF so we can still fly our planes and use them Patriot at the same time especially with the networking of the F-35.
Yeah, NATO uses airborne radar a lot more than the Russians. As US strategy historically is to get air superiority and Russia/USSR countered that with land-based systems that makes sense. The whole advance in networking that the F35 has is, frankly, terrifying!
I really like that it accurately sims the inaccuracy. To me, that makes the difference. I do look forward to the sim complexity increasing so more capabilities of the equipment can be modeled. *Just a note:* These guys really do depend on us. Don't assume everyone else is donating $. Every month, I try to give $10 to $15 to the creators I enjoy. I hope you consider it too.
As stated by the Ukrainian MoD.. The Su-27 and Su-24 have the necessary load capacity to carry Storm Shadow... but if my memory serves me right the Mig-29 (depending on what model I would suppose) can only carry 750kg of weight in total on all pylons. That, if I am correct, would preclude the usage of the amazing Storm Shadow on Mig-29s. Now F-16s is a different matter. From what I have heard, though this is just breaking news and unconfirmed currently, the United States has given approval for EU F-16s to be transferred to Ukraine. It was stated though even if the pilot training started today it would take, at an absolute minimum, 4 months to bring pilots up to speed on the western jets.
I seem to remember particularily there being mentions in the earlier stormshadow video that it was 2 missles per plane and 4 wing so it was 8 wasnt it? and 6 was shot down. Or am i being bamboozled by whats said in the video itself Xd
Wargame suggestion: 4 Russian aircraft were recently shot down over Russian territory including two Sukhois. The people that say that Ukraine was responsible for the shoot down are split between Ukrainians inside Russia with MANPADs, Ukrainian fighters, Ukrainian fighters WITH western missiles, and Ukrainian long range air defenses. Can you wargame which of the 4 speculated causes are the most likely causes? Love ur vids, thanks!
Manpads are unlikely to be that cause of that shoot down, a visual evidence suggests that at least one helicopter was downed by a missile that was ca. 4 m long. Also, all the crews were killed, manpads does not pack such a punch and usually there is time to eject (for aircraft that is); one option would be that those were downed by Ukrainian SAMs but that would require bringing them right up to the border massively risking their loss (even if due to the visible logistics); the whole event unraveled within few minutes; Russian aircraft and helicopters were a complete strike package (Mi-8s were an electronic warfare versions Russians have 18 of them, with 12 in flying condition), and they went down in a quick order. So however crazy it wouldn't sound the most likely option is that those aircraft were downed by.... A salvo of AIM-120s. Now that is an interesting development if it were confirmed.
@@44lucas Good points but after all, this is what wargames are about so I think MANPADs should still be included for the sake of it being a possibility however unlikely. As for SAMs, I think it could be possible with Patriots using PAC-2 missiles which have a 160 km range so they could cover the area where the shootdowns happened while placing the launchers not too close to the border so I don't think SAMs should be ruled out. As for AMRAAMs, they could be also be possible considering we didn't even know that ADM-160B MALDs were in Ukraine until debri from the decoys were found.
@@shtorm2616 it was friendly fire incident for sure. There cant be so many MANPAD units in quite large area (~50km between crashsites) acting simultaneously. Also cant be SAM even on border - too far to hit low flying helicopter. Friendly fire due IFF malfunction/operator's mistake. That's why both ukrainians and russians not talk too much about it - nothing to be proud for both sides.
@@terrynewsome6698 not sam systems but MANPADs. Both sides in Georgia used Su-25 so mistakes of ground units was common. But this very incident likely be due the SAM IFF malfunction/operator's error. True.
Read an article recently that said in the real world in Ukraine, the Pantsir system is only achieving like a 19% kill rate. Its unclear if its a failure of the system, the operators, or both. So either the DCS version is WAY overmodeled, or the skill level of the operators in DCS is way too high, because the real life Pantsir... kinda sucks. Its getting lower than first gen Patriot vs Scud kill rates, and Patriot wasn't even originally designed to shoot down ballistic missiles. Pantsir is supposedly expressly designed to kill the sort of threats its facing. Your mention of a Pantsir getting taken out by a drone reminded me of that. I think the Patriot is datalinked to AWACs, and that's why they don't use the peekaboo radars.
Ya this game is kinda ridiculous. I don't think it's a coincidence the game is made by russains and all the russain tech in the game is wayyyyy over modeled I my opinion. Just look at the war in Ukraine, russain systems don't seem to be even half as good as in game
This is kind of like the A-10 attacks on the Japanese WW2 fleet. Yes, the defenders COULD take down the attackers, BUT they'd be hard to detect in the first place, and DCS doesn't always properly model that. Unfortunately, the exclusion of the Storm Shadow's ECM and other features makes these tests invalid. The missiles here are really no different to any other low-flying aircraft.
Knowing that detection is key, why not develop a separate detection/track radar suite to place closer to the expected ingress point(s)? Yes, I know the AWACS are looking down, but low cost, data linkable units placed to cover known terrain-hiding features seems reasonable. Plus, if I've thought of this, someone much smarter surely has already.
Patriot and Thad systems already incorporated that in their radar, just need a couple of low altitude satellites for 360 degrees coverage again complimenting awacs.
Relying on Ruzzian air defence operators being well trained, not drunk, being awake and lastly having the equipment in working order is a big ask, throw in some decoys and I give Ruzzia a 5% chance...
Out of curiosity, Ukraine knows the general approach vector of Russian weapons and deploys their available air defenses along those vectors. The Igla's and probably the lighter air defense systems are deployed miles away from the probable target. The missile has to track through the air defense systems entire engagement envelope rather than only 1/2.
Mother Russia has basically shrugged off war with Europe and America so far. You’re underestimating them. 50% of all Europe’s and Americas weapons stores and All the available weapons production has been saturated by the war in ukraine. Russia is fighting 27 countries economies and military industry and at the moment they’re not visibly looking losing. Considering the 1.7 trillion in damages done to ukraine. And the 250 billion in damages done to Russia.
Cost is not really a problem, the Storm Shadow will be written off soon and due for replacement - so cost is minimal to UK and to France ( with their SCALP missiles ) - imagine if SS took down the Kerch Bridge, - money well spent... Also cost depends on value of the target - even a Ruzzian Tank worth more than the missile...
Did you see the news about the patriot that shot down Russias hypersonic kinzahl recently? I think you guys covered that one a while back. Guessing that's a pretty big deal
the iglas shouldnt be used in point defense they are spread all over the battlefield and hit the cruise missiles while they cruise this also means there are multiple possible attempts to take the missile down
17:25 Serbia bought a version of this turret and gun, but for ground attack vehicles, not AA. Mounted on prototype vehicle called "Lazanski". And it has faster rate of fire than shown here. Hell, even S-60 which is 57mm AA gun from 1950s had faster rate of fire (70 rpm sustained and 105-120 cyclic). So, I'd call this unrealistic.

As far as I understand the storm shadow is STEALTH and has significantly reduced radar cross section making the whole detection and tracking of storm shadow a super hard task
why was there no swarm ,
They found alot of MALD decoys with the storm shadows. would be intresting to see the storm shadows used with the decoys and re try this test.
Yeah couple of decoys found and two consecutive days of facilities being hit, one of Storm Shadows main features is also its ability to be programmed to follow a complex route navigating around short range SAM sites. Luhansk People's Republic said yesterday that in one attack two Storm Shadow and one MALD were used with both Storm Shadows hitting their targets in Luhansk calling the Russian governments claims of intercepting the aircraft that carried out the strike bullshit.
exactly right
cope(cage), Sead, mald.
MALD 160-B was used to suppress RU AD so the storm shadows made it through safely!

@@lukapretegiani3348 I am basing that off of previous targeting Ukraine did with HIMARS. They aimed for Command and Control points or major supply points. The shells get programmed at the end of the barrel. The thing that looks like a flash suppressor is the programming ring.

@@grimreapers Even the Gepard have airburst programable ammunition, but im not shure if it was right from the start in the 80s or if its an upgrade.

Storm Shadow is 30 years old. For its age, it works very well.
20 years old, so pretty average in terms of age. And there has been an upgrade package in the interim.

Or just give it TALD characteristics
Storm Shadow is such a cool missile. And the name, if that doesn’t tell you it’s badass then I don’t know what will. Brits have always had a legendary reputation for naming their toys: Spitfire, Scimitar, Vulcan, Harrier, the list goes on.
dont forget the tank busting brimstone as well
I read that the Russians would turn their track radars off when friendly fighters were in the air since the cold war, but in Soviet/Russian doctrine Sams come first and airborne interceptors come second in operational priority.
More pragmatic bang for buck wise
Really really good content, Cap. Well done for filming at 9AM on a Saturday!
Only time I could get a few mins away from baby lols
@@grimreapers Just ensure your baby can't hear you flying in DCS or otherwise the first words might be "Pull-up, pull-up" or "Altitude" 🙂
Two per aircraft is about the normal maximum. Even with Tornado….which could carry 4.
Great video! So glad the Brits hooked up the Ukrainians with the storm shadows
We really need the Grim Reapers HQ modelled for a target hint hint!
I think the Grim Reapers HQ is a pub
I hope it is a secret submersible aircraft carrier
But a pub is more realistic
Yea. Firing cruise missiles is all about planning the route, alt, evading rardars, ect.
Will the real storm shadow please stand up.
I repeat
Will the real storm shadow please stand up.
Thanks Cap and CH
Love the ahhhhhhh..with the gurgle!! Keep up the great work.
Supplied, used, and successful, apparently 😁
From the front 3/4 angle, it looks like a flying penguin 🤣
Nice presentation !
I have tested SCALP fired from RAFALE B MOD in Liberation 6.1.1. Caucasus and PG maps and programing them to fly from a WP to TGT some 150ft ALT it will destroy SA 2,3,5,6,11,15,17,19 and in some ocasions SA 10 when SUPERHORNET mod is used to jamm with EA -18G as part of package!Sure thing RED AD is set to excellent and using Hi digit SAMS.
Really well presented and discussed.
The missiles of the TOR test detonated but did not blow up the Storm Shadow. I think you could retest that and get a one hundred percent hit rate.
Thanks CH!!!!!
Decoys, jamming etc. would help but then a lot of other factors to consider. Storm Shadow still a game changer.
Most of them are already blown by Russians on the ground.
No system alone is a "game changer". It's a significant force multiplier, but at the end of the day it's only one piece of the puzzle.
One leading UK paper on their webpage yesterday was saying Russian aeroplanes had been downed by Storm Shadows. Quality.
Well, kinda, indirectly. We believe that extra concern about the use of Storm Shadows has caused Russian Air defence to become extra paranoid, and that may have resulted in a couple of friendly fire incidients.
@@godalmighty83 Interesting.
No, not the Storm Shadow downed aeroplanes but their own SAM system did it because of the Strom Shadows. :)

@@termitreter6545 Well i think the KH-47M2 is shot down story is kinda strange to me. The booth sides uses maximum propaganda now.
@@Mgaming61 NATO does consider russians SAM as a huge threat
USA wanted to sanction Serbia over S300 and BUK system, which is the reason why Serbia got chinese FK3
Serbian military wanted S300PMU1 or PMU2 system i think PMU2, BUK and Pantsir to guard them, then Serbia bought Pantsir S1 and for the next month everyone talked about Serbia buying Russian SAMs and USA warned about possible sanctions,
so Serbia gave up on S300 and BUK, but ordered 2 more batteries of Pantsir S1M and bought 4x FK3 from China which wasn't seen as a nice move by russians, after they and Belarus basically gave away aircrafts for free to Serbia
Tor missile combined with SPAAR gun system and a mobile mast radar would be a really awesome unit to see
Just put the smart rounds in the phalanx. It's basically off the shelf tech. They already make the smart rounds for smaller calibers.
That's the problem with 20mm, it is too small for fancy fuses. Fill the projectile with fuze and you reduce the load of HE. Phalanx is old. You need 30mm.
They do have smart rounds, and that is what they usually use
Wow the ground hugging!

C-RAM has range programed self exploding rounds

Hey Cap, interesting how you talk about the US and balloons for the patriot sites. They actually use balloons to track boats off the Florida keys! It’s a balloon that can be as high as 14500ft up on a tether and just has a radar pointing down at the sea looking for any size of boats coming from the south.
Awesome.
Actually not just the Keys, if you look at the US Mexico border on aeronautical charts all the tethered ballon sights are marked, for obvious reasons.
I've never felt so valued as a viewington.
agreed
Actually the 9M96E2 is a S-350 missile but intergrated with S-400.
Ah, I thought it looked familiar!
Happy Day all you Mothers!

Russia is now mobilising babushkas to eliminate errant wagner group mercenaries. There going to be armed with state of the art sharpened spuds.
The Ukrainian boys have already started using these...OUTSTANDING!....Happy Mothers day!
You don't need a peekaboo radar tower if you park the radar on a hill.
I seem to remember particularily there being mentions in the earlier stormshadow video that it was 2 missles per plane and 4 wing so it was 8 wasnt it? and 6 was shot down. Or am i being bamboozled by whats said in the video itself Xd
What you can do is launch cheap missiles first small ones then launch the bigger ones at the end of launch you should have better results
Can you cover the KEPD 350/Taurus as well?
Wargame suggestion:
4 Russian aircraft were recently shot down over Russian territory including two Sukhois.
I had no idea that any fighter could carry more than one of these!
the tornado could probably carry 6 with how heavy of a payload it can carry
CH must be Swedish? 😁 Great content guys!!
@grimreapers Could you do this simulation again, but with the deployment of AGM-88's prior?
The US would use AWACS or JSTARS is why they don't have huge masts.
Where are Kubs , Bucks, Tor-2s and S300?

Its arguable that an Iskander was shot down.
I think Typhoon would only carry 2. I wonder how many Rafale would carry? I shall have to go to have a look.

Mother Russia has been having a pretty bad year.
Mother Russia is gonna have a bad few couple of years
Mother Russia has basically shrugged off war with Europe and America so far.
So apparently Crimea's S400 batteries cant stop a barrage of these.
the fact that these missiles are 2mil each is crazy
Cost is not really a problem, the Storm Shadow will be written off soon and due for replacement - so cost is minimal to UK and to France ( with their SCALP missiles ) - imagine if SS took down the Kerch Bridge, - money well spent... Also cost depends on value of the target - even a Ruzzian Tank worth more than the missile...
