Very nice! would it be possible to create bullet hits and smoke grenades with this as a substitute for flipbook animations? One of my pet peevs is how smoke and dust don't linger long enough in first person shooters. Could this be a solution?
Thank you! For smoke grenades it's perfect! I'm currently working on a Counter Strike 2 style smoke grenade. You could use it for bullet hits but it's a bit heavy handed I would say and probably not good for performance.
Hello, the fog disappears when I take the camera back at a distance. Is there a solution to this?
Hi! Yes, certainly! You can adjust the 'Far Fade Distance' parameter on an Ultra Volumetrics actor but more importantly in the Exponential Height Fog actor there is a parameter called 'View Distance' in the volumetric fog section and that parameter determines the view distance for all volumetric fog. By default it is set to 6000 and I recommend not pushing this too high as it will decrease performance and volumetric fog quality. Good luck!

How is the performance cost if using this in a game or a real-time level?
A valid concern =) I'd say it's quite performant, even on modest hardware. On the marketplace store page there is a demo you can download which I filled with way too much fog and adjustable quality settings for performance testing.

Hi! Most likely it's either still compiling shaders or something relating to volumetric fog hadn't been activated. Make sure that 'Volumetric fog' is turned on in the Exponential height fogband that shadow quality is set to High in the scalability settings. Let me know if you require more assistance! Good luck
