The gate this game is getting confuses the hell out of me. Especially with me just beating the game yesterday, I had a great time with it all the way through. To me it almost feels like the haters are simply being fueled by the negativity from the other haters. The game really is not that bad. And I feel like your average gamer WITHOUT listening to the critiques of this game could go buy the game and enjoy it pretty well. Of course it has flaws. But I've seen worse games not get as tore apart as this game did.
It's a combination of toxic cancel culture and mob mentality. All the sellout reviewers siding with the crowd to get clicks and views didn't help either. 2-3 years later it will be remembered as a hidden gem like days gone.

The demo to this game was bad. I decided to buy it anyway despite the reviews and demo. Glad I did the game was amazing for the most part. I've played it twice and got the platinum.
I really enjoyed this game. The hate that this game is getting is extreme (some people are treating this game as if it were Superman 64, which is absurd). I really enjoyed the gameplay. As for the story, it's a little boring at first but it gets awesome when the plot twists start to happen later on. I really enjoyed the story. As for the dialogue, I unironically liked it (probably because 80% of the people at my college speak like Frey. LOL). Overall, it's a good game (I give it an 8 out of 10)

Yeah da fade to black can get annoying but dats literally it. The story ain’t as bad as ppl claim it to be, it’s tethers from okay to good, graphics are fine like literally, I’ve played Deadspace remake and Hogwarts and Forspoken is NOT far behind them, world is how it is becuz of the break but there is lore every where JUST like the game of the year winner ELDEN RING with little to no npcs walking around that world
@@fatboi3603 I wouldn’t even say forspoken is far behind any. Been playing hogwarts and as nice as it is, I find Forspoken’s graphics to be of much higher caliber
@@lolnoob5015 no it’s not. They look like they can be played on a base PS4 or even PS3. Final Fantasy XV used the same engine 6 years ago and looks 100 better. Also hogwarts has the day/night mechanic as well as weather changes.

Same people who hate this game also love the new Harry Potter game lol it’s hypocritical. I don’t like the whole marvel movie formula always having wise cracking characters in the face of danger. Yes the dialogue is bad but you literally have Japanese writers trying to recreate that formula while also trying to portray an African American in which they have no clue how to do without using their limited understanding about the race which is evident by starting to the story with her as a juvenile in trouble with the law. The gameplay is pretty good but the dialogue is very bad just like the new hogwarts legacy game yet people say it’s a good game. It’s glitchy unpolished, you only have 27 spells but the game is being sold as if you can actually do as you please in the world lol.
I really don't understand the hate this Game is getting, Playing the Game Myself and it's pretty amazing, The battles, gameplay, huge Worlds exploring plus the graphics are simply Gorgeous, Some People are just can't get into heavy story driven games, they just want the same old shooters, and don't get me wrong I also love shooters, halo Wolfenstein but I also love losing Myself in a fantasy story, games like Xenoblade chronicles were You can spent hours and hours exploring huge fantastic Worlds
It's a bad game imo but if you like it I can't say anything. The combat wasn't deep, it just looked cool and the writing made me wanna bathe with a toaster. "Fuck this fuck that" lmao
I've been gaming for over 4 decades and have been around for almost every original IP and release since Atari. Every year games get reamed BUT something the way Forspoken has been trashed seems 'off'. I've seen games that absolutely suck get better reviews and media. I honestly believe it's because of the first 6-8 hours of gameplay and story. Around the 5 hour mark I almost gave up and I would literally try and figure out why it wasn't clicking. From controls to gameplay it all seemed off. THEN around the 8 hour mark and customizing my buttons via the control menu... IT completely changed and now the game is freakin' fun to play. I couldn't put it down last night and can't wait to get back into it. I mean the latest sonic game has a similar vibe and open world. Same enemies throughout, same open world and empty but it's FUN. Story is bad and dialogue is horrible but I'm not in this for the story at all.. I play games for gameplay. I can bypass a story and just play the actual game and love it. Unfortunately, the gamers in their teens to 30's don't have the reference of playing games in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's. If they did, they'd appreciate a good game when they played one. Unfortunately the standards are being set by what they are seeing at this point in gaming history and that's setting the standard for games to come.... that honestly sucks. Here's a tweak I made that made a huge difference for me. Change the trigger (shoot) button to square. Parkour / Run to R1 and Magic select to trigger. I turned up the sensitivity and booooom.... smooth combat and traversal. Get past the 8 hour mark and tweak the controls... love the game now and for me is a solid 8.5/10.
@@TasmanianTigerGrrr no because a lot of it is aimed at the basic story that is highly predictable if you pay attention like cuff eventually betraying you, the dragon’s importance, because she Frey’s mom, and so on and so forth. Then there is the fac that this game is not worth the $70 price tag. 4.5 out of 10.
perhaps people are getting caught up on the writing, the open world aspect and performance issues for this game, since that's what's really being called out for it. The writing is atrocious, the open world feels too bare and even in powerful computers, it has serious performance issues. Despite that, it has a solid movement and combat system. I love how they made it actually feel so unique in the era of say, DMCs, Bayonettas and MGR; despite the concept being similar to those games, it feels unique, still, with it's own style of flashy looks. This game has its problems, yeah... but it has its greatness, as well.
@@skychaserbeats5758 the problem is that people are refusing to acknowledge that this game is trash and try to paint it in a different direction because “Oh you guys have hate in your system and is just bandwagoning.” This game is not good and I applaud anyone that do like the game. I give it a 7. I like the game play and it has similarities to atomic heart. The only thing I don't like is the main character. They could of started her out that way but be likable as you play.
It's called a character arc. Not every character needs to be written as an instantly endearing charismatic lovable people person or strong silent type walking tank badass. Frey has a chip on her shoulder that makes her socially awkward at first because she is a product of her environment/surroundings and her painful past. She uses that as her deflection whenever she's out of her element or comfort zone. Over the course of the story, she starts to warm up and evolve. But notice who she instantly gravitated to in the beginning. Those who never judged her harshly and she could relate to. Her cat, Judge Byrd, and the little orphan Olevia. Gamers (and frankly people in general) are too overly accustomed and entitled to this "love at first sight" instant gratification complex where they expect that they're supposed to instantly love the character the moment they first laid eyes on them. Sometimes that's fine, but every single time? Really? Where is the fun in that?? Think for a second. Aside from our closest "day one" family and friends, do we ever really instantly find every person likable the moment we meet them? The writers of Forspoken dared to do something different and play with that controversy. Personally, I had no problems with Frey in the beginning. I'm very open-minded and not easily bothered by things like that. I appreciated her character evolution and found it believable.
