The game is too generic. Doesn't feel like a true sequel. More like how they wanted part 1 to be so more like Dragons Dogma remake. The enemy types are the same and not enough variety. Characters and npcs have no depth or interesting interactions. Quests are weak and uninspiring. I returned this game and got Rise of the Ronin instead. I will pick this up after more updates and DLC. Right now the game is very lacking to be a sequel. Character creation is great and the pawn system is very cool as well. Everything else is just weak. Rn its a 6.5 out of 10 for me

Despite having 20 engineering and lvl 5 Fire and Ice, when I counter enemies the affliction bars are not full, as such they require multiple successive counters in order to afflict them with frost and burn. In your video, 1 counter was enough for them to both freeze and start burning. I am using different modules, but that should't affect it, right?

Im a fan of digimon, love RPGs, love tactical style games (fire emblem saga, ff tactics saga, triangle strategy, tactics ogre, banner of the maid, advance wars saga, etc) and dark themed visual novels... but i cannot recomend this game. The combat is as simple as it can get and never improves not even digievolving, so it gets really boring and the developers know it, so they added an auto play option for the battles. The rising of the digimon is almost inexistent, limited to increasing some stats with objects either equipement or consumables wich at the same time, its almost all the RPG elements you will see. The catch them all elements are also quite bad, since there is almost no reason to do it, at all. Now, the important part of the game is the visual novel, but... i have played many indie visual novel games that are a lot better... its not bad, but the "lets save the world with the power of love and friendship" style, does not mix well with the dark environment the game intends. Its also not good for digimon fans since it does not expand the amazing lore of digimon nor complements it nor explains it. It could very well been a pokemon game or another original story without digimons at all and you wouldnt have cared at all, it would still be the same game. For 10-15 box, maybe~ 20 i wold recoomend it as a decent visual novel, but for 60? HELL NO.

i give it a very strong 8/10 i take 1 point away for the very shallow character relationships and 1 point away for quest lines that feel really important ending abruptly with nothing cool actually happening for most of them. the 8 points i do give it though have kept me very happy with the game
