    Description:
Experience the timeless elegance of Billie Holiday's "I'll Be Seeing You" as it plays on a vintage gramophone. This 1944 recording by Commodore Records, one of my favorite Billie Holiday songs, captures the profound emotions of longing and memory. Originally written in 1938 by Sammy Fain and Irving Kahal for the Broadway musical "Right This Way," the song gained immense popularity during World War II. It became an anthem for those separated by the war, symbolizing the hope and sorrow of missing loved ones.
"I'll Be Seeing You" is about the enduring presence of a loved one in the mind of the singer. The lyrics describe how various places and moments - such as cafes, parks, and even the moon - will always remind her of the person she misses. During WWII, this song became especially poignant, embodying the emotions of those separated by the war and longing for reunion
Billie Holiday's soulful rendition imbues the song with a depth of feeling that continues to touch hearts.

Wow... maybe not the best quality sound reproduction recording, but oh does it certainly capture the essence of the era and her voice perfectly. I also really like the visuals you added to help set the scene and the mood. A fantastic upload, thank you for taking the time to record it, edit in the backdrop for the clip and sharing it with people of good musical taste all around the world.
