MW really deserved an Emmy nod for this monologue. And the dynamic between Tony and Gibbs is the core of this show, and just brilliantly effortless! 2 people just don't get how amazing this moment is.
Yeah, it was so PERFECT! Gibbs just listen Tony and it was the best thing he can do because it helps Tony the most. And his headslap was the thing Tony needs the most at that time.
Obviously the chin thing at the end is adorable...but what about the fact he just stands there and lets Tony rant and play out his little scene and get it off his chest? Damn, why are they so cute?
I totally love this scene! It's so well-written and so well-executed. It's amazing that Gibbs doesn't say a thing, that his silence is a sign of support. I could go on and on, but really, this scene is fantastic!
I love this entire scene! MW did an amazing job! And Mark Harmon did have to say a word. I just love the end when he tapped his chin, it was so cute and you could see how Tony was on the verge of crying when he did that. They have an amazing father/son relationship.....too bad Tony's real father couldn't be that caring to him.
I think one of my favorite things about Gibbs is that he knows that sometimes you just gotta get it all out of your system, so he just stands there and lets Tony get it out.
He says his mother dressed him as a sailor 'til he was ten, but in "Flesh & Blood", Tony mentions that his mom died when he was eight.:P ...I love Gibbs and Tony's relationship.:)
It might sound weird to say I have 2 favourite head-slap moments from the series, but this one, and when Gibbs taps DiNozzo in the episode titled “SWAK” ….saying “you will not die”,are mine.
How can you not love Tony I love when Leon watching Tony go toe to toe with Eli Leon- DAMN IT how many time did I tell Dinozzo to leave his smart ass attitude back in DC? Gibbs- you should have checked his bag telling Dinozzo not to be a smart ass is like telling Gibbs not drink coffee it's not gonna happen it sticks to him in the immortal words of Leroy Jethro Gibbs like a ex wife after an alimony check
This is some of the most intense acting in the entire show. DiNozzo was the absolute best part of this show, but the writers kept shoving a great middle finger down his throat every chance they got. They put forward the point that he is an incredible investigator multiple times and that he has the potential to develop to the level of Gibbs. Then a moment later they have everyone else make fun of him for comedic relief, just to make him look like an idiot. You can't have a genius _and_ an idiot at the same time. They build DiNozzo up for 5 minutes to run him into the ground for a season or two.
@CantStayAway plus : during season 3 we learn that Ziva speaks 5 languages but in ''Faith'' she says she speaks 9 including the laguage of love 10! :S :P
i only have one question, why did gibbs put the pizza box sideways thru the bars when their are horizontal bars made especially to pass the prisoners meal thru :P
@merderful - Very true...but then again, she DID go back to Israel to work at Mossad again for a few months right, at the end of season 5 and beginning of season 6? Maybe she could've picked up a few languages while she was there.:P:P:P
@Trini0408 I totally agree with you. He did seem like his Logan Cale character, which is so funny because they are COMPLETELY different characters. Its funny to think it's the same guy playing them, lol
A brilliant piece of acting by Michael Weatherly.

I love how Gibbs doesn't say ANYTHING during this entire scene! His actions really speak louder than his words.
Yeah, it was so PERFECT! Gibbs just listen Tony and it was the best thing he can do because it helps Tony the most. And his headslap was the thing Tony needs the most at that time.
I love how Gibbs' taps Tony's chin at the end. This whole episode, including MW's performance, is incredible!!
Obviously the chin thing at the end is adorable...but what about the fact he just stands there and lets Tony rant and play out his little scene and get it off his chest? Damn, why are they so cute?
He is just amazing! He is such a good actor and a very attractive man!

Gibbs is better father to Tony than his biological father. He is always there for him when he needs him.
this scene is amazing. Emmy winning performance by MW
I think one of my favorite things about Gibbs is that he knows that sometimes you just gotta get it all out of your system, so he just stands there and lets Tony get it out.
this scene is just so amazing.the intensity and friendship between them are so strong! michael is my favourite actor!
The relationship they have is not friendship but a father-son bond.
Wow, what a scene. I love how Tony has a meltdown and all Gibbs does is watch and smack him back to reality, he says nothing during the whole scene.
He says his mother dressed him as a sailor 'til he was ten, but in "Flesh & Blood", Tony mentions that his mom died when he was eight.:P
...I love Gibbs and Tony's relationship.:)
CantStayAway I heard talk about step mothers? Maybe I mean Dinozzo senior has seen enough women to accumulate a few wife’s I’d guess
I think he was just ranting off an example. I don't think he was serious about that.
Tony admitting to being an immature skirt chaser & yet, those around him can still see past that.
One of my favourite scenes! It was like the writers plucked the end bit from my brain it was so perfect that Gibbs didn't say anything!
Love this scene. Very chilling.
i love this scene! thanks for posting it!
i loved this scene!!!
absolutley fell in love with Gibbs when he beckoned tony over and slapped his head...then tapped his chin! i almost cried!
Gibbs is the father that Tony never had but needed & was there for him.
It might sound weird to say I have 2 favourite head-slap moments from the series, but this one, and when Gibbs taps DiNozzo in the episode titled “SWAK” ….saying “you will not die”,are mine.
"Thank you, boss"
Love Tony
Gibbs is so good to DiNozzo when he needs it.:)
Thanks!! been waiting for someone to upload this.
You could see Gibbs fighting not to laugh
How can you not love Tony I love when Leon watching Tony go toe to toe with Eli

And Gibbs says everything without saying a single word.

smell you coming , boss SO FUNNY!!!
Michael Weatherly couldn't act this scene better...you can see the fear and the craziness in tony's character! michael the best!!!
This scene is my favorite of all 6 seasons.
wow. 👏 it's Dinozzo unhinged
Frame Up, Title says itself
Loved this scene
Great writing!
GODDAMNIT CHIP!
This is why abbie works alone...
But he is such a good actor to act this out as an actual interragation between two people!
@CantStayAway plus : during season 3 we learn that Ziva speaks 5 languages but in ''Faith'' she says she speaks 9 including the laguage of love 10! :S :P
l really love this episode....
It's awesome due to Gibbs and Tony :) They would be so a nice couple...
i only have one question, why did gibbs put the pizza box sideways thru the bars when their are horizontal bars made especially to pass the prisoners meal thru :P
It's my favourite scene! :D
love it

Wow...does anyone else thing Tony is acting a bit psycho. Don't get me wrong I love this episode, but Tony is acting...different.
