Was absolutely dreading this job. Found a couple of other videos that either bent and bashed or more or less stripped the entire front end off car.
Your vid showed that while typical mini where a 5 min job to fix a leaking gasket requires a lot of other stuff to be got out of the way first.
Your vid just showed a more fencible way to do job.
Some of the nuts on the heat shield are a real sod to get to though.
Many thanks for this
Best video I’ve seen on this, thank you 👍👍👍
Would you happen to know if the oil filter housing gasket is located in the same place on mini one r56 1.4 N12B14A? I will be changing my catalytic converter, and this is the only video that's been helpful so far. Thought my as well change these if they're exposed in the process
@@nb7930 yes I believe so
Great video, only thing is how did you get the cat out underneath, no space in our car??
Cannot remember sorry but hopefully you get it out with a bit of wiggling
Hi !
Any chance you could tell me if this can cause oil to go in to the coolant? or is that a head gasket blown sign?
Thanks
Yes it could cause oil to go into coolant
Is it possible the other way around? Coolant in the oil?
Yes it can go both ways
Did you leave the header heat shield off? I’m thinking about leaving mine off just because of how much of a hassle it was getting it off in the first place 😂
No I placed it back on it was a pain to get back on but soon it done it's done.
Iam going to trim mine, so all the bolts are accessible in a future
Can you let me know if the fault code stayed off? I'm thinking about buying one the these cheap eBay manifolds for my 2009.
Thanks
Yes mine has not come back on been fine
This is insane, I'm not looking forward to this at all.
I've been looking at other videos and they mention having to put the car into service mode,
Nope
