    Hello Mike. Nice video. Kinda what I was thinking. You get a lot of splits out of a 30” round. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻

    Looks like the 4-way is a bit. I noticed the "pop" at the beginning of the split

      That maple was pretty straight grained. Split really nice. Thanks Joe

    I got a bunch of those monsters. All Silver Maple. Old, so it dries out in weeks or less, not months! About the best campfire wood we have around here. Beautiful burn qualities, smells great, and it doesn't pop or fling embers, like pine, cherry, etc do.
    If just ONE was Sugar Maple, I wouldn't have to buy any grill wood for several years, lol.

    You started using the 4 way wedge once the round was split into 1/2 or 1/3. Could you have used the four way wedge to split the round initially?

    • @Lifeinthe906
      @Lifeinthe906  6 месяцев назад

      Yes we could have . Sometimes it just easier to start with the single to get them in more manageable pieces. Thanks for watching David

      @@Lifeinthe906 I should have asked a better question. I wanted to know whether the 28 pro has sufficient power to use the 4 way wedge on large rounds. Does it?

    Quite a bit of wood in that log. Lots of time invested in a full cord of wood

    That 550 handled that log pretty well . Are you running 325 or 3/8 chain ?
