This is the way to hit volleys. Superb! Look at how steady the head and shoulders are ... always facing the net. There’s little or no unnecessary turning of the upper body. And unless you need to step in, the hips are at all times parallel with the net. Also, the whole body moves from side to side fluidly.
I thought that the shoulders have to be turned? Are you sure that that is incorrect advice? please tell me why...That would be really helpful my volleys are really struggling.
We used to do this when I was still in high school. I was like the 12th best player. 10 player varsity. When there is somebody absent, I would play varsity. Although coming from a table tennis background, I was the best at the drill form the start. Nobody could out me because of my reflexes from my years in table tennis. Now I need to focus on groundstrokes because all I have are flat killers and dropshots.
This coach needs to train some of the pros who can’t volley for their life😂 seriously tho the next generation coming through seem to have a better all round game now rather than grind grind grind
Contemporary style is to finish short balls by holding the shot (not telegraph your next ball), then a quick powerful drive. The days of opting for a setup drive to plan the net volley is long gone. Any of the top players will win against any of top serve and volley player of the past with today's tech. The string and racquet technology these days. allowing players to hold their shots and create enough spin to go for sharp angles, have made sure of that.
Its all about the footwork. These guy’s footwork are awesome
The player in white/green is just pure HURRICANE! Wow 👏 💣💥

Goku: Maybe, but they won't use their all around game because Nadal & Djokovic will just pass them.
Oh yeah indeed Thanks God Djoker didn't see it yet Cause otherwise 1 week of training like that and Nole for sure gets 25 Grand Slams at least 🥳🤣
