What’s actually different abut this solo is that I had to practice how I used the wah as much as the guitar part because I didn’t feel like I captured the spirit of this solo until I got that somehow close 😅. Finding that “sweet” spot with the wah it’s what gives this solo that character and power.

Let’s not forget that in the very same song, James and Kirk both play a similarly fast dual guitar solo (dualo?). Playing anything at that speed is impressive enough, but to have someone doing it alongside you and not sound terrible is a whole ‘nother level.
cliff taught them them this harmonic 'dualo'. xD its super cool and i love it as well
When they were playing fight fire with fire in 1987, they actually started playing it off by like 0.5 second, but then synchronized themselves, listen to it, it sounds like magic
@@stine_one they were very good at keeping natural time instead of worrying about count theyd just know how to click back together even if Lars was messing up

I’m willing to bet this solo was totally on the spot. They pressed recorded and this was the result.
The first shortest straw one would probably be the hardest to replicate,alot of different techniques in it,squealing sweep picking etc. And its pure awesome.
His band has played it live a few times now and they have nailed it every time!

I had a difficult time identifying it because a lot of the earlier ones sound pretty similar (I initially thought it was “Jump in the Fire). They’re all great, but a lot of them have a similar structure and sound to my ears.

He’s pushing the wah pedal halfway with his foot, giving it that tunnel like sound

Cliff, James, and Lars. They made the song. But mostly cliff wrote all the harmonies and stuff.
James mainly, cliff wrote the acoustic intro and Lars arranged it. But this solo is written by Kirk.
Did Kirk use wah in this ? Not like him 😮
It's hard to replicate because everyone but James and Cliff loses time at some point in the song.
