▶ ABOUT THE VIDEO
"Pink Elephants on Parade" is a song and scene from the 1941 Disney animated feature film Dumbo in which Dumbo and Timothy Q. Mouse, having accidentally become intoxicated (through drinking water spiked with champagne), see pink elephants sing, dance, and play marching band instruments during a hallucination sequence.
Hope you like it! :) 🎵

The scariest part of my childhood is now a bomb ass track. I don't know how to feel about this
Same here.... the original track of this is the sole reason I used to hate the Dumbo movie....
I'm still afraid of this ;--;
I am glad...
aaron paz what does that even mean?
Thank you for encapsulating my confusion in one sentence.
A phrase at the time ‘seeing pink elephants’ was a slang term to mean someone was so drunk they wouldn’t be able to hold a conversation with you. The animators decided to take this more literally and do a whole pink elephants animated scene to say Dumbo was drunk. Of course, this was during the time of Fantasia was being made. Really experimental animation was placed in that were more drug inducing.
As someone who is into experimental animation, I always saw this whole bit as a glimpse into what animation could of been if the animators were given more freedom.
SO THATS WHY PINK ELEPHANTS EXIST?!?!!?!!!
(Not that I’m complaining, I actually always looked forward to this scene in movie as a kid)
Glitter Art I guess I know what being drunk feels and looks like XD
actually Dumbo wasn't drunk, he ingested natural drugs ruclips.net/video/y08pbpn98rs/видео.html
It's still a term that's used today, but it never meant drunk. It has more to do with other drugs.
Sounds like kingdom hearts
Oh yeah, back in the days when Walt Disney used to traumatize us to make us hate drugs. This and the donkey transformation in Pinocchio scared the hell out of me.
Good memories.
I do believe dumbo drunk lightly watered down vodka here xD
Good ol' Disney animation: the staple of fridge horror & nightmare fuel since 1941 till 2009.
“Dont do drugs or you will see pink elephants” as a kid it’s terrifying but as an adult that sounds like a damn fun time
Well it worked right?
That ish is STILL traumatic
Am I the only one who thinks it's too bad Disney won't delve into that kind of acid trip animation?
Seriously, as an adult, I appreciate this sequence so much more. This is amazing! Everybody remembers that sequence decades after it was produced. The original animators must and should be so proud!
you arent.
just watched the "a friend like me" from disneys aladdin again, and the way dschinni is moving and drawn, is sooooo awesome.
Considering it can trigger epilepsy, this is very iffy to wish for
No it doesnt @hollowwoods7130
CONGRATULATIONS you somehow made it trippier
No drugs where involed with remixing this tune
@@LewisATucker94
Why do I not believe you

Possibly a treble cappuccino made with his comping "Syncopated Clock" twice on the piano while he waits...
True 👏
This scene scared the shit out of me as a kid
It still scares me
That is such a mood. Also!! Since I was a kid I've watched all my movies in Spanish (first language) and I've compared English and Spanish and I'm. The Spanish lyrics are 1000 times more terrifying? It mentions the devil. And how the spirits if the dead are coming. 😫👌🏼
@@mary_bblueraven wtf
@@gf1x119 I know It's scary. And troubling. Because what even went through their heads?
I think that's kinda what I like about the Walt Disney era of films. They just seem to add these bizarrely terrifying scenes in their movies. They lower your guard with the sweet and happy scenes, then surprises you with a out of no where scene like this, lol.
Who else wants “Oogie Boogie Man” from Nightmare Before Christmas? That’d be epic
YES
Dude...... you should REALLY consider a music career with electro swing .
Because so far every remix is just ........ AMAZING !!!!!!!
I'm really diggin it . Outstanding work as always, cheers my man
Can we get “it’s tough to be a god” from el dorado?
Ter ry oh HELL to the yes!!! 😃👍
Bruh Funny omg yes
Thats PERFECT!
Oh my gosh I love that song!!!
yES PLEASE
I very much would like Tough to Be a God from El Dorado.
But other than that I love every single one for these Electro Swings you’ve made. 😍
"Lucky god" :D
Logan Lopez seconded on the next track vote! 😁👍
Cool idea

Wut?
You know what else would be dope? Hot Chocolate from Polar Express as Electro Swing
I respect this more than a lot of modern wanna be "artists" lol. I think it's fantastic.
Thank you very much!
This is amazing. The fact that the original was hand animated is just mind blowing. Your remix does it so much justice
This song used to creep me out so much as a kid, I can finally listen to it and appreciate it lol
@@uselessalgae9381 i loved it too, this part of the movie was always my favourite
it still creeps me out
Man, I loved this as a kid, but never liked the second half where it dropped into being soft-spoken and then transitioned into maraccas and nonsense. This is perfect. Bravissimo.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that hates that part, lmao. I always just liked the main part then it got ruined by the Ice skating part of the song
Same!! I always preferred the first half of this song
Maybe it’s a metaphor of alcohol?
I don’t see how people were scared of this when they were younger, I never skipped this scene, I always waited for this song, and I’d dance and stuff to it, I thought it was so cool and fun
This scene on the movie really expresses how much you can do with animating, colours, and perspective as well as how talented these people are.
You deserve way more likes
Must've been a BITCH to animate though, especially during the 1940's. Worth it
I love electro swing. Your channel is great
Omg the original dumbo is the first Disney movie I ever saw at the age of 5 and I have always loved pink elephants on parade so this is awesome.
Same!!!
The first Disney movie I ever saw was Wall-e
Yes but it scared me so much when i was 4
I cannot help but dance at this. I actually had to stop myself to type this out because I kept trying to not mess up.
My favorite part was...
All of it!!
Can you please consider doing Heffalumps and Woozels from the Winnie the pooh movie? It'd be amazing to see a swing edition of it.
Winnie the Pooh is a favorite of my childhood. So I’d like that too.
:0 yes
Yes
OH HELL YEAH
YESSSS
When are you planning to Bring These Songs on Spotify 😁
Mantvydas Nenartavičius nope, you can do that by yourself.
@Mantvydas Nenartavičius That could be a trouble with Mr.Disney

Toad ster ‘A Friend Like Me’ is on Spotify
Try sound cloud it has it
“It’s tough to be a god” would be such an awesome addition to the electro swing collection, please, please consider doing it!
I LOVED this sequence as a kid!! I wish they had done a lot more experimental stuff like this. It really set my imagination on fire.
Like in Winnie the Pooh...
I need a spooky scary skeletons electro swing mix in my life 💀🎃 (I think remixes have been done but not to this standard!!!)
Yes please!
Yassss bitch
as soon as August hits the fastest spook on the west must be unleashed
The musical ghost did one in his Halloween electroswing medley, check that out
@@j-mr-t4025 yes but we need one from papa dave
Hey Dave, could you do "when were human" from "the princess and the frog" next please?
OH THAT WOULD BE SO GOOD, it’s my favorite song from that movies soundtrack
Mike Connotte agreed! that'd be so awesomeeeeeee
@@kehlanie2050 yeah right
Mike Connotte what do you mean? the princess and the frog soundtrack is real good. whats wrong witth that?
@@kehlanie2050 not sarcasticly, i was agreeing with you. Its my fav disney movie
Biggest acid trip in a Disney movie just got bigger! Thank you Dave Wave! This is slappin’!
Daaaaamn, this fucking SLAPS. I always found the dark, foreboding, relentless syncopation of this track already super powerful, but the emphasis that you've put on the beat and atmosphere have sent it all into the moon. Thank you for making this!
This was great. Your electro swing remixes are super good. 👍👍
Ah yes, The feeling of being a drunk elephant.
Fun fact: elephants will sometimes actually get drunk on the fermented sugars from rotten fruit.
I think you recalled most of my emotions at once, dude. I felt excited, happy, enjoyed, satisfied, tense, little scared, little shivered, little melancholic... a lethal mix of stuff.
Don't know if I like this or not, really. I've put a like on trust, I know this is great work.
But, the raw source, damn. It was my nightmare when I was young, and I REAAALLY liked Dumbo as a whole, so. This was my soft spot, I think I'd cry everytime on this scene.
this old disney musical segments are fucking trippy, definitely some weird shit happening in the animation studio
Omg can you do the Pink Panther theme !!!
Chloe Hatch Booya
That piano-solo gave me chills. Kudos to you for making such sweet music.
I know this scene really scared quite a few kids when they were younger, but it was almost always my favorite scene from Dumbo!! Lots of dark imagery and sickly bright colors. I think the part that actually scared me the most was the ending of Pink Elephants, where things become louder and trippier.
One of the sickest beats in Disney history! That and of course the “Friend Like Me” remix!
Most kids were afraid of this scene while when I was a kid this was one my favorite scenes
Same
Same! I was actually just about to comment this
Exactly
ditto! I can't understand why everyone seems they freaked out
Idk what my opinion was when I was younger but I know for sure I love the scene and the music now!
I hated this song as a kid, but I must admit, it makes a great electro swing jam.
Yall know there is probably someone watching this while being high 😂
@Hailey Coley lol
I just burned one u.u
I DO NOT RECOMMEND
@Hailey Coley their, there, they're - once you get the concept, it's easy.
Que traba la que tenia dumbo ese dia
My nightmare is a banger. happy 2022 🤘🏿
And just when I thought this song was an acid trip on its own
I don't know how you managed to make it even more terrifying but it's still way too good....
Now i really want to hear "It's tough to be a God," "Poor Unfortunate souls," or "Be prepared." Your music is just too good
A speakeasy club bar with drinks and dancing with electro swing music and everybody dressed in 20's fashion. Who is with me?
Yeah I remember this scene, creeped me out as a child.
Must be their dark dead, eyes.
Me, listening/watching the beginning: Damn, that’s a sick beat! How is he going to work a piano lick into it?
Me, at the 1:45 mark: ...touché, sir! Lol 😆
Once again, well done man! Still one of Disney’s sickest beats and trippiest animation segments to date, and another great reimagining/enhancement of it!
Can’t wait for your next one! 😃👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
People watching the original “this is truly there is no way it can be made more trippy”
DaveWave “Hold my elephants.”
I think I found a new favorite Electro Swing RUclipsr.
I remember watching this movie as a kid. What a times! 😍😭
as a child this scarred me.
now I love it.
I LOVED this when I was a child I thought it was trippy asf and I still luv it
Disney really used to have amazing talent and creativity !!
man, the old Disney animations really make "drunk scenes" terrifying
What'll I do
What'll I do
What an unusual view!

This segment of the movie was such an unsettling trip when I was younger lmao
Hefalumps and Woozels would be amazing! This one was really great too!!!!
Good Job Dave you did it again! Amazing remix! If i could ask i would love. Poor unfortunate souls from the little mermaid next!
loves it my daughters dance line squad used this song last year
Loved the small reversed piece.
lol I think it's hilarious that a lot of people collectively thought this was scary as a child. i had pink elephant nightmares after watching dumbo for the first time but have grown to love this song along with the rest of the movie and this is a BANGING version of it! well done brother!
But it wasn't this edit tho?
@@AcidOnTheStreet what do you mean?
@@SCP-Dr_Bright Nvm, don't know if this the shit they put on or if this is dave's edit, that's what I meant. Bit buzzed haha I have not seen dumbo, well not before this vid and I don't think I will haha

Austin Shubin, I really dislike that movie and that song so I hope it doesn't happen. I'm trying to forget that was ever a Disney movie.
@@NKript it is not a disney movie, it is Dreamworks that was behind it
Lasse Larsen, good, because that movie was trash.
bro why so much hate towards that movie (in my opinion it was pretty good)
I AGREE! 🤩
Idk man when you passed over 300K but you deserve it, saw it's now over, I love all the edits. This one is scary AF haha but I am here to listen/watch anyway haha I am re-playing this so if im scared it's my own doing xD But if imma chose the best one, it's ''A friend like me''. I can watch your edit at that one so many times, never gets sick of it!
amazing, this is now stuck in my head
Absolute genius! Please do continue revisiting Disney classics like that!
An amazing remix as always! Love seeing your videos pop up!
Straight fire this song was already good but u made it better
Someone at disney took too much acid before work and this is how something like this is created.
My younger self would be staring in shock if she saw me bopping my head to this. I used to be terrified of the Pink Elephants scene. It wasnt even the animation it was actually the music that scared me. I was a weird kid ;-;
Pink Dumbo Electro Swing is my thing!
Killer beat my dude. The visuals still give me nightmares to this day.
Ok, this completely slaps. Well done.
With the heat of summer givimg me a headache, I almost thought this was a dream but it's real. Pink Elephants on Parade!
Oh man I love your piano solo it’s so fluid and cool and it really adds a cool little kick to the bridge until then have fun have a good one and keep up the good work ✨❤️✨
Researching ragtime progressions got me here, and I cannot complain
my FAVE part of my childhood thx for this!
This used to give me nightmares XD I can't stop replaying it
*CON:* This scene scared me so much as a kid that I've refused to watch Dumbo since.
*PRO:* This helped me be less afraid of that horrible scene and I got to enjoy some awesome music. 👌
This is IT Y’ALL!!!! Soo good!
Now I get elefantophobic.🥶🐘
Heffalumps and Woozles maybe???
Also the original Louis Armstrong "It Don't Mean A Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)"
Jay Glenn There’s already a decent remix of I Don’t Mean A Thing, Check it out, I heard it on an « older electro swing mix »
THIS IS SICK!!!! You are amazing. The song from Alice in Wonderland`s cards parade would sound incredible in your style!!!
Oh man, this is my favorite swing version on this channel.
I never got the notification! How could I have missed out on this?
This is weird
I love it
I just love the way you kept the original song but with a twist. You have a great talent I love it
If I ever smoke weed, it won't be to this. Great job!
This is a masterpiece
Did anyone else get unexplaingingly scared from the original of this but still loved this song so GODDAMN much?
That drop at 0:49!
Ive always loved this part as a kid its such a trip to see remixes as an adult 🎶🎵
God this sequence is pure nightmare fuel
