Actually, the Pixel Remastered made the dual shields a 'double-edged' weapon as it now uses the unarmed attack animation(which does affect the unarmed attack level) which, yes, it DOES deal damage.
It is both a buff and a nerf.

if anyone was extra daring, you can fight in the castle too, but only if you go back and forth at the gate by going left/right. I don't recommend it as you have to fight more than one strong enemy, admittedly the choice of item drops will expand a bit more if you do that and potentially even more levels (if some reason want to be op).

oh the pixel remaster they added the boost to help increase health every so many battles in order to help "fix" the HP growth of the game.

I already know that I want to power level hp first than shields so I can ridiculous high hp for when I get hit but I'll most likely dodge a lot
it may have just been dumb luck but i found rotating the guard after 1 dropped the golden armor made the drop happen faster

On the subject of a cocky FF gamer doing something dumb that he'll never live down I only have one word: Megalixer. We all remember that one and no, you won't ever live it down 🤣.

If you are farming guards or others with magic only, why not put the entire team on back row? Should help survive hard hits

you should always spam cure or any healing spell as much u can before going to the inn, wasting all those free mp !
mp costs more to heal at the inn than hp. The only time where it is worth it to use cure on your party before going into the inn is if you have a high leveled cure and a very injured/nearly dead party. restoring only mp at an inn costs hundreds of gil but healing only hp costs considerably less.
