Just found the exact model you used in the video at my local thrift store. Couldn't pass on it for $10 :D thanks for all the info! Going to have to give it a spin later.
I’ve just bought an old Polaroid 600 CL, and it came with an old cartridge inside of it - but nothing happens when I press the shutter buttons, or when I take the cartridge out and put it back in. Could this just be down to a old and flat cartridge?
Jexeter 66 The battery in the film pack is too old probably and no longer works, if you buy some new film for it it’ll work fine most likely. Polaroid Originals 600 film is still being made
Thanks for all the fantastic info! I wanted to check your website to see the cameras you have available, but the links on the menu seem to be broken, or are asking for a WP Admin login to access the site!
Hi Thomas! I just got three Polaroid cameras; Supercolor 1000, 630 SL Lightmixer, and 670 AF Supercolor. Are they any good? I just find your channel, very good videos about Polaroids, thank you for your effort!
Hi, sure, they are fine cameras. I especially like the 670 AF. If you are looking to upgrade further, you have to look into the SX-70 and/or the SLR 680.
@@Sophort thanks! It turned out my 630SL was broken, but with 670AF I made my first eight shots and it really is alot of fun! I used color film, next time I will try BW.
Hi! Quick one: I just bought a LightMixer 630 model but I see the shutter is half open and pressing the shutter button doesn’t do anything. I still haven’t got the film delivered so haven’t tested with a battery. Is this normal ? Perhaps the shutter needs the battery to operate (but I wonder how it got stuck mid open)..

Yes I have! I have a Lightmixer AF600 and a regular Supercolor 600, I prefer the AF one though, pictures seem more clear :) Expensive but indeed a lot of fun!
It should say on the top part of the place you put the film (e.g. Polaroid 600) and it should be colored Edit: 5:00 you can see that red box that says “600”
Not related but you look and sound EXACTLY like the "yoo hoo big summer blowout" man
That’s so accurate!

Omg why 😭😭😭

Just got one off of eBay for $5 AND IT CAME WITH A FILM CARTRIDGE
I got mine from goodwill and apparently it’s so old I need wax to go with it to
Thank you life is strange…for my camera phase!!!
Great video :) Just picked up a Business Edition 2 for $20 and I'm stoked to try it out.

Good luck spending twice that for just 8 pictures 💀
I just bought a supercolor 635 cl suppercolor does the 600 film work?? 😅

I have the exact camera you have over your left shoulder on the edge of your shelf. Can you give me any info on how it works?
That's an older Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera. I don't have one, but you could probably look up a manual online or something
Hi, sorry for the late reply. You can find a manual here: sophort.com/download

Hey, sorry, yeah, the website is down (and will stay down). Is there anything in particular you are looking for?
what is the difference between polaroid 636 close-up and polaroid one step close-up, which one is better?
Not much of a difference, pick either.

Sometimes the camera gets stuck in the middle of the cycle. I would also assume that inserting a film pack with a battery will "reset" that.
I recently bought a 635 Supercolor, any pros and cons to look out for?
Good starter camera. Find some useful tips and a manual here: sophort.com/download
What do you think of the Instant 30 camera? Is there film available for this camera and is this model valuable at all
Afaik they don't make film for that camera anymore and it's not a valuable one.
Are you from Austria?
Haha, yeah! Why?

Do you think a Impulse A.F autofocus is a good choice? I think it's from 1988 - mid 90s
It is fine but you can't override the flash. That's why I wouldn't pick it. Always shoots with flash.
@@Sophort Oh I kind of went a bit crazy and bought multiple polaroid cameras 😳
I’m trying to figure out where the batteries go
They are built in the film pack!

The film is so expensive though :/
That's true, but totally worth it (in my opinion)! Have you tried one of these? Thomas

You are welcome!
What type of film should be used on this polaroid?
Which one? In general Polaroid Originals film but then it depends on the camera if you need SX-70 or 600 type film (or i-Type or Spectra)

Sadly yes :(
