Just to clarify, you need both complex carbs and simple sugars before working out, both are forms of carbohydrate. Dates are a good source of sugar but high in fibre which is an important part of your diet, but can cause digestion problems (e.g. GI distress) when doing some sports, but not all! :) I'm not a professional, just run ultras and do a bit of strength training.
Every time you guys go to a different country, I realize how uneducated I am on different countries. In the US we’re kind of sitting alone over here. So as a bonus, within the next three years, my boss has a given me a two week vacation to Europe. I get to pick three countries that I want to go to. All expenses paid. I’ve been to England four times already. I love it and I would love to go back. I would love to go to Greece to find out more about my heritage. Definitely Italy and my husband’s family is from Ireland but now you just showed me Switzerland I want to go there too, it’s gonna be a hard decision
