Thank God they are starting the new a350 service to Bangalore these 777's seem too old for me and not enjoyable. Even Singapore airlines did the same thing by replacing with a350
Many airlines are phasing out their older Boeing 777s.. The aircraft condition is very important for long haul travel.. now we have both 787 and A350 services to London :)
Much cheaper ! I flew from BLR -FRA -CHICAGO last month at 70k Rs round trip with Lufthansa. BA was at Rs 83k. Much more expensive ...btw Lufthansa is 5☆ Airline and I Loved it !
You're right the cabin really looks worn-out for a long haul flight. But when I flew BA from BOM it was a better cabin. Just wanted to know that to which place were you connecting

British Airways will not fly the 787 to Bangalore because 777-200er gives a capacity of 296 passenger where as 787-9 can accommodate only 215 passenger which inturn reduces the capacity at a greater extent and for Bangalore croud it is insufficient for sure. In future we might see a replacement of 777 200 er with any new aircraft probably 777-9 or a350 1000 in upcoming years. I don't think Ba will introduce 787-10 because of its range issues especially with the new club World seat design.
Well now in June 2018 BA is flying a 787 from this October to January. Then starting 1/1 in 2020 they’re doing a new A350-1000

You get 23*2 allowance only if you have a connection to the US. If you're traveling to Europe, you only get 23 kgs
