After many years, I have matured enough to appreciate Hot Pursuit (I was that type of guy who said that only Underground, Most Wanted and Carbon matters). Now I am playing Hot Pursuit and I am enjoying this game, in particular I am amazed by attention to sound and visual effects

And not to forget: It is still to this day the fastest naturally aspirated production car in the world (no turbo or compressor, just the power of the engine made out of gold)

Ok, the op is referring to the original Hot Pursuit game from 1998 as in NFS 3 where the Diablo SV was a star car in the roster, its even in the intro and on the covers for both pc and ps1 if many people even know of or play it anymore, but why do I always see people getting confused between this, HP2 and HP 2010? btw it was also actually many years until an NFS had this Diablo included again since it was dlc for this game originally and been in many of the games on since.

I actually liked this one. Yes, it had sort of limited burnout physics, but it worked. Even the AI surprised me on one occasion which is a huge plus. The only thing I hated and despised... were those damn "game moment cameras". Doing a Hot Pursuit event was a total nightmare. Race begins..... *New Pursuit Unit camera* Ok let's ra- *Spike strip hit!* Okk, cool I'm just gonna *Takedown* Ok I just wanna dri- *EMP Hit* God damn it! let me dr- *helicopter unit deployed* fffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu *taken down* It was especially infuriating when you play as a cop, you make a little bit of distance, then build the speed up, and time with with an EMP hit, hoping to slow them down and SLAM them hard..... Nope, how about you watch a mini-cinematic of the target car being shaken by your EMP hit, while the AI temporarily takes over your car and brings it down to a safer speed, essentially not even letting you actually catch up.

The reason there is those is to make the player be even deeper to the part of the action, immersive in a sense, it doesn't bother me one bit, but I see what you mean, some people just like to race, some people like a little bit more action in their races.
This game was my favorite besides the classic NFS games. It was fun and somewhat educational. You had the lady talking about each car and details of them. Plus the startups of the cars made me want to drive them. Especially that Contach and that's not even my favorite Lamborghini lol
I wish we had that feature pack for racing games, it was so fun to hear the narrator talk about the cars and the history of the manufacturers. The lady is good, but you simply cannot beat Jim Conrad from the classic Need for Speed 2, his voice in narrating the cars is unparalleled and legendary, we seriously need him back.
If anyone is complaining about no nfs mw remastered, Its almost impossible, because stellar entertainment has experience in Criterion games but not Blackbox games, and the fact that 3 cars that are playing an important role in most wanted, The IS300, The Supra, and The SLR McLaren, Toyota won't give their licenses to nfs, and the SLR McLaren couldn't as well but we have hope with Carbon and Underground 1 and 2 Edit: The Toyota celica is also one of the cars of Eddie's crew so I Dunno about nfs underground Edit 2: The Supra is also important in the story of carbon so RIP our only hope is underground 2

@@ramenboi1614 they dont make a lot of sense in a game thats mostly about supercars, the only real supercars Japan made were the GT-R and the NSX but the NSX hadnt been relaunched yet by the time the game released, still would like Eclipses or Type Rs for sports class
