The modification you made is actually beautiful. It's a moving performance. I feel that for the first time I've heard something close to how an operatic castrato might have sounded. I felt like an audience might jump and cheer at the end. Bravo to you! @Brian Hernandez Rulli
The first version is like a badly ruined Roman monument which traces of the original beauty remain, so forces you to imagine how the original looked. The second is like a cgi graphic we see of the ancient monument, improved but less real than the ruins. The imagination from contemplating lost beauty is sometimes more compelling than computer generated repair
In my humble opinion I think that the first audio is heard with very good quality, very good sound, I think it was not necessary to modify it, however, thank you for sharing it.
The thing is that he is like "completing" the nuances of his voice. Unfortunately, due to the limitations of the original recording, many of the voice's overtones have been lost over time.
FYI he was going under this procedure since he had some cance rdown there, FWIH. I could be wrong, but I've heard it was done from goodwill. yes, other boys had to go through this horrible neutering but for him it was meant well, I think. I could be wrong, but still he was happy later on in life. a quote from WIKIPedia reads _"In any case, much later in life, he referred to his enjoyment of singing as a boy in the chapel of the Madonna del Castagno, just outside his native town."_ anyways I actually like his voice and think it has a very unique tone to it, producing a likeable sound to it. I know others will disagree but I'm fine with that. sure Al would just wish we'd appreciate his music rather than boohooing over him, as he was clearly more than that.
Castroti were also favored lovers of aristocratic women, as they had no risk of pregnancy. But also, I heard that many were very "accomplished" in the bedroom as well.

I just think the reconstruction of Moreschi 's voice makes him sound childlike whereas I'd imagine his voice to be high but obviously emanating from a man's body.

It wasn’t when they reached thirty. I think their vocal cords would calcify in some cases and that’d make their voices deeper, and old age probably had a part in it.
There voice would not of changed by the time they reached 30 . As due to the procedure envolved, castration. A 30 year old " Castrati " speaking would sound the same as a pre puberty boy
Good ole fashioned age. It happens to all singers. Like go listen to somebody who has been singing 30 years and you can hear slight differences from the same songs they sang then and now.

porque es una reconstrucción de cómo sería su canto al ser joven, en el audio original tenía 50 años.

What causes that if the testosterone isn’t there to do that?
