    I actually love history videos! They’re topical, but unique from gameplay and very interesting!

      Cuz that's better than actual War Thunder gameplay (especially naval). Lulz.

    Excellent presentation. Thank you. I love that photo at the end, that's USS San Francisco passing beneath the Golden Gate, entering the Bay following her ordeal in November of 1942. Hat's off to all of those sailors, soldiers, and marines during the war.

    Fantastic! Love the video! I knew the New Orleans class was very active during the war, but I didn't knew they were That active. Naval history is fantastic, soo rich, I love it. Can't wait for the next one! Great work!

    I find it curious that one of the pictures of this class showed a SZ radar antenna which was a late war radar system!. The other radar systems are, #1 SC-2 Air Search, #2 SG surface search (there is two of them), #3 FC fire control radar for the main battery, #4 FD radar for the HA/LA Mk-33 fire control directors!. Good job!. Like the photos of the cruisers at Mare Island Naval shipyard!.

    wheren't earlier turrets "so called gun houses/gun mounts" like that for fact that they weren't conventional turrets (not having proper turret barbette: handling room's build in ship structure and lacked rotating stalk "Stalk - That portion of the rotating structure of a turret that extends down into the ship.") and not for lack of armor?

    As a suggestion for your next war thunder related video, show us all of your controls you have for aiming guns and other things like this, I haven’t figured out how to properly aim and rn I’m just guessing on how to aim, it would be super helpful for us considering you are the only CC dedicated to naval

    • @ernstjunger714
      @ernstjunger714 3 года назад +1

      This would be a good in depth video. Even though I am good with estimating my shots now and do fairly well, I wish I had a good video to watch. I would love to type a helpful response but it would turn into an essay and probably be confusing if I didn't give a visual of what I was talking about.

    • @1SaUI
      @1SaUI 3 года назад +1

      @@ernstjunger714 especially because on his last video, I can’t figure out how to manually set the distance for the guns, and realistic aiming isn’t an option where km looking. So this would be awesome for him to make a video

      I'm not the best at aiming but I can guess shots pretty well. I use all default controls. You just lock on to target( its X button for me) wait a second to adjust the aim and then shoot about 100m lower( with mouse scroll ). If you are going in the same direction as enemy aim at the front of their ship; if you are going in the opposite direction, fire ahead of enemy ship, like 1km ahead; if he is going towards you and you are going sideways, move your aim in the opposite direction than your movement, and about 100m lower. I know this isn't best tutorial but I hope it helps. You will get much better just by playing

    Removing the torpedoes was an excellent choice they were just wasted displacement
    The Mk 15 torpedo was the worst weapon in naval History

      The mark 13 (aerial) and 14 torpedoes were about as bad.

      I used the SimCity 4 soundtrack; it's a 2003 video game from a studio that's been closed since, so there aren't likely to be copyright problems.
