I just learned of Cheryl Wheeler today... I greatly appreciate singer/songwriters. I remember Suzie's version when it came out, but this is now the version for me. Beautiful song, sung by her creator, priceless.
I love Suzy Bogguss's version of Aces but have to agree with Glen Weeks. This, as is the case with most original recordings by singer/songwriters, is more authentic and heartfelt. It certainly deserves more views (only 651 to date).
Shocking that this video has so views. I recall an upload of the same video having way more views. I wonder what happened? Sad, but expected. Talent is being cloaked and hidden from the public these days.

Another example of the songwriter who sings the song with the emotion that created the song: gretchen peters singing "you don't even know who I am". Patty Loveless knew a great song whe she heard it.
Confusing song however I guess she introduced him to the wrong girl and that was the end of their original relationship?!? Regardless, a deep soulful song
