Too bad I missed you in Canada. You should be in a movie where this alien on another planet decides to learn guitar and does all these unconventional moves because he was never taught regular, earth-like guitar playing. He finds out later how people on earth generally play guitar and tries it but can't do it. His instructor on the planet tells him he is hopeless. But it doesn't stop him and he blissfully soars away with his unearthly moves...
Hi, I love your self-description. Are you seriously like tht? Well, let's start talking if you are really so... I will try to find a word to define myself. Happy to know that there is somebody in the world so... "light". Nice to meet you.
You're making all of the other guitar players of the world look (and sound) like garbage (124 of them already are pissed or something). I'd feel bad, if you weren't an alien, so I'm okay. Incredible Performance of an Awesome Song
Captured effortlessly
That's the way it was
Happened so naturally
I did not know it was love
The next thing I felt was
You holding me close
What was I gonna do?
I let myself go
And now we're flyin' through the star
I hope this night will last forever
I've been waitin' for you
It's been so long
I knew just what I would do
When I heard your song
Filled my heart with your bliss
Gave me freedom
You knew I could not resist
I needed someone
And now we're flyin' through the stars
I hope this night will last forever
Oh oh oh oh
Ain't nobody
Loves me better
Makes me happy
Makes me feel this way
Ain't nobody
Loves me better than you
I wait for night time to come
And bring you to me
Can't believe I'm the one
I was so lonely
I feel like no one could feel
I must be dreamin'
I want this dream to be real
I need this feelin'
I make my wish upon a star
And hope this night will last forever
OH oh oh oh
Ain't nobody
Loves me better
Makes me happy
Makes me feel this way
Ain't nobody
Loves me better than you
And first you put your arms around me
Then you put your charms around me
I can't resist this sweet surrender
Oh, the nights so warm and tender
We stare into each other's eyes
And what we see is no surprise
Got a feeling most would treasure
And a love so deep we cannot measure
This is absolutely insane, the level of technical creativity that goes into this is unexplainable.

Dude your music is addictive!
Have an awesome tour. I wish you would come to South Africa. Yeah... right.
Gabriel Spilkin Jon actually was here in SA last year, or the year before (either 2013/2014)! He played at the Baxter concert hall in Cape Town, on his birthday. I'm sure he'll be back :P
Will you have a concert in turkey?
Hope I can make it to the Joiners!
Chaka Khan is my all-time favourite female vocalist (along with Anneke Van Giersbergen). What a treat to hear this song like this.
I've decided to throw open the support slots for this Spring's UK gigs to local musicians. I know how hard it is to get on good shows in your own city, because so many are sewn up by national agencies, sometimes on a pay-to-play basis. FTS.

***** Why no Manchester show?
Leeds close enough surely.
Jon Gomm if you come to Brighton please let me know
You are a revolutionary guitarist. A true inspiration.
2024 this is still epic
can't get enough of this song
Who in gods name hit the 'dislike' button on this?!? Great playing!
Still one of my favorite covers, probably the favorite if limited to guitar.
Look, you need to pick yourself up. Man up, alright? You will win this in the end. It's all about heart, and character. Be your best self.
Who tf are you talking to😂
Every single time I watch / listen to this I'm blown away. Absolutely bloody wonderful stuff, good sir.
(Of course, a pair of hands can't possibly be that co-ordinated, I refuse to believe it!)
Captured effortlessly
That's the way it was
Happened so naturally
I did not know it was love
The next thing I felt was
You holding me close
What was I gonna do?
I let myself go
And now we're flyin' through the star
I hope this night will last forever
I've been waitin' for you
It's been so long
I knew just what I would do
When I heard your song
Filled my heart with your bliss
Gave me freedom
You knew I could not resist
I needed someone
And now we're flyin' through the stars
I hope this night will last forever
Oh oh oh oh
[Chorus]
Ain't nobody
Loves me better
Makes me happy
Makes me feel this way
Ain't nobody
Loves me better than you
I wait for night time to come
And bring you to me
Can't believe I'm the one
I was so lonely
I feel like no one could feel
I must be dreamin'
I want this dream to be real
I need this feelin'
I make my wish upon a star
And hope this night will last forever
OH oh oh oh
[Chorus]
And first you put your arms around me
Then you put your charms around me
I can't resist this sweet surrender
Oh my nights are warm and tender
We stare into each other's eyes
And what we see is no surprise
Got a feeling most with treasure
And a love so deep we cannot measure
2 words.. Blown away!! The talent of this man!
Nice rendition...please ignore the dislikes and stupid comments from the haters and naysayers. Once again YOU ROCK. From one guitarist to another.
This blew me away at the recent Acoustic festival of Britain. Superb!
I'm sure this guy has the guitar strapped on from the moment he wake up till he sleeps. Damn that was just genius!
It's so magic and awesome, I can fly with this harmony!
Unbelievably badass
This really is expanding the horizons of the guitar. I remember a quote from Segovia about the guitar being like a mini orchestra. Well, in this case, Jon is making the instrument sound like an actual record! Superb.
Asia tour starts next week. Please help out this weird-guitar songbeard by spreading the word to anyone you know in the vicinity of these places...

+Jon Gomm Hey man! I fancied a little groove while I get ready for the day and this is the song I chose for today! Would love to see you live at some point! Hey from Leicester!
Hey from USA... U headed across the pond anytime soon? If u played a show with Monte I would drive across The country to see!!
Jon Gomm Hey man! When are you coming South Korea again? I really want to meet you someday!
I saw Jon Gomm do this this live in Norwich. Stared open mouthed his whole set. Guitar playing from another universe, in another galaxy in another cosmos. Love it
Just bought the tab to this, wish me luck!
I'll need it
can you tell me the tuning for this...it would be really helpful
this get's better and better everytime i watch it, awesome work!

Dein Deutsch ist echt schlecht ...
Was soll denn die Aussage jetzt?
Jon Gomm
Würde gerne deine Kunst gerne live erleben!!
this is just about what is possible on an accoustic guitar...left me speechless...
Well done!
The man is a wizard! Absolutely awesome and I can't wait to see Jon at the Acoustic Guitar Show in London later this year.
He's a mix of Eric Clapton and Chuck Norris.this is my theory for so much awesome abilities and skills.
The choice of song is as classy as the guitar playing. Aint Nobody who does this better Chaka Kahn. Thank you Jon.
Oh So Slick!
2015 and wonderful ! Such talent, IM Amazed by the beauty.
Fucking A1 Frettboard Massage.
Seeing John live is a wonderful thing to witness. I was in true astonishment of his ability and the sounds he Made with just his guitar. Can't wait to see him live again
....
What?!
Yes. Just. Yes.
I just love your music Jon, can't get enough. Bravo from the great state of Idaho USA!
Hey Mr ***** Apart from your music you also speak in way understood by myself and i agee with you points. anyway,. i am not one of those who can use vocabulary in a way without usual people getting it wrong and becoming my fictional hate group.. to be blunt,., #freedoofspeachM4th3rFkr"
Point is Mr Gomm, i cant afford to get the instruction to this particular "aint Know Body" style. so is there any samples or free version i could be pointed to. i can donate something. but im on the Bones of me ass... so to speak. "IM SCOTTISH BY THE WAY" LUV THE MUSIC JON GREAT IMSPARTATION FOR WHAT I WANT TO LEARN Peace. ;-)
it is indeed Grace i wanted to try and get a tutorial from him to play myself as i play guitar and i want this style to be my choice..
Absolutely fantastic !!!!!!!
Such a beautiful way to think of jon's playing!!
I keep coming back to this song, and it keeps impressing me each time. Great work!
There are 63 dislikes on this videos.
For the love of God and everything that is holy, would someone please block the Justing Bieber fans?
Oh shut the fuck up, moaner.
I mean really, who could possibly be that tasteless?
Or clueless or classless or tone deaf or.........
@@kimberleymckay5949 You're fucking dumb if you associate those silly thumbs down clicks with actual assessments of the video content.
one of the really rare moments where i had tears in my eyes just because the music is overwhelming beautiful played.
2:58 - How i feel when i hear this
My Openion, you MR Jon Gomm and Mike Dawes are the bigest Masters in all over the World.
Hail to the King, you create.
love to work with you.

Hi, I love your self-description. Are you seriously like tht? Well, let's start talking if you are really so... I will try to find a word to define myself. Happy to know that there is somebody in the world so... "light". Nice to meet you.
Liane Bacellar Liane,
yes, what you see is what you get. Nice to meet you Liane.
I don't think mankind has ever produced much that is better then this video
You're making all of the other guitar players of the world look (and sound) like garbage (124 of them already are pissed or something). I'd feel bad, if you weren't an alien, so I'm okay.
And those that look (and sound) like garbage, don't give up. After all, it's called a trash can, not a trash can't.
lol... i like this
Excellent, mon morceau préféré à la guitare sèche ❤
In an instant... beautiful, gorgeous, awesome music. And pow, what a ending. 👏Just for a little while, I can fly. 🦅
Badass and still funky as hell. This dude is off the chain!
sir, you are probably the best...no most original guitarist I have ever listened to. you just opened my eyes to true instrumental soul!
Oh wauw............ several times listen to this great and talented guitar player...... as a singer i love your style...
You never cease to amaze me jon. Best guitarist in the UNIVERSE
Love and respect from India 🙂🤘
WOW!!!! This totally .... TOTALLY ROCKS Jon.
I find it hard to accept that anybody could dislike this! Jon, this is a brilliant arrangement and you are another of the percussive guitarists that have inspired my son to pursue this style. Blessing to you :)
