    Some generalized and useful vendor tips:
    - Where you build your shop matters. It'll get far more visitors somewhere near flatwood than it will down by fissure site prime (unless there's the nuke event going, and they manage not to nuke your camp).
    - Don't hide the shop behind a maze. If players can't get to it in 20 seconds from fast traveling, they might just leave.
    - You can move around the C.A.M.P. thingy (the first thing that spawns once you build) to change the fast travel spawn point.
    - Usually, you can get away with overpricing scrap (useful scrap, and bulk since it'll still probably be less than buying it at an NPC).
    - Don't sell stuff for less than you would get from selling it to an NPC (unless you're a chad and new players are your market).
    - If you're at camp, players may want to view your inventory/trade.
    - Players can see the number of stuff you have for sale; the more the better. Players probably won't spend 60 caps fast traveling for a store with 10 food/aid items.
    - Make your base interesting. It's not necessary, but do put some effort to make a cool looking base. Players might just drop you extra items that are junk for them, but perfect for you.
    - -If you put a single spike trap in your camp and I stub my toe on it and end up with tetanus so help me god.- Yeah, don't put spike traps in your camp. Just don't.
    - Some items (like clothing) can be unexpectedly rare. They'll go for a lot more than what the default price suggests.

      If you sell items higher than Npcs do, I’ll buy from them 🤷🏻‍♂️ Weird advice.
      Personally I believe that if you put stuff in your vendor it’s to get rid of it (cause you’re either overweighted or in need of caps). So sell it cheap and it will go away quick.
      Some good advices otherwise ;)

      @@seccosecThe price an item sells for to an NPC is very different from the price it costs off an NPC. You assumed they're the same, that's why you didn't understand what they meant.
      If I sell an item for 10 caps, that has a listed value of 25 caps, I might only get 8 caps off selling it to an NPC. That same item, may cost 40 caps buying it off an NPC. The price you buy and sell to NPCs are very different from the value price.

    I charge 100 per star of legendary, and of these, I only sell items that are actually useful to beginning and mid range players.
    I find higher level players (I’m 461 at the moment, I take huge breaks) that I’m on a team with, clean me out, that is buy all my legendary weapons and armor.
    I myself just bought the exact weapon I was trying to craft for nearly 10k caps from a 3,000 level character vendor. If it’s duped, well, it cost me in game currency and I’m at max caps often.

    I use a discount calculator for my vendor. Basically, I take the game’s suggested cap value, put that number into the discount calculator, then next I choose 75% (plans, recipes, serums) or 50% (everything else), then the price after discount is my new vendor item price. But I also sometimes put in a few free low lv items/armor/weapons for low rank or new players to take advantage of.

    I'm level 30 right now and just started up a shop with a couple blueprintsand some energy ammo obviously I'm gonna get alot more stuff for the shop as I play but as of now common armor, weapons and mod blueprints are 20 caps common recipes are 10 caps any ammo is 1 cap any blueprints from events really depends when it comes to price same thing when it comes to outfits and cosmetics but mostly 100-1000 caps for most event exclusive things
    Edit: Once I get to level 50 is when I'll start putting weapons up for sale so they are max level and they will all vary in price with legendaries I'll do 100 caps per star

    Yeah... well. Difficult subjet. Perso I don't realy care about prices as I constantly need to use my caps. But... some players, right! Some players, often high levels (!) have crazy prices and whyyy would you ask? I've seen so many weaps with shitty 2nd and 3rd stars standing in vendors for up to 20k or more! I mean, low levels don't have the caps and medium and high levels know the value of items and would never buy so pricy crap. I always send a message when I meet those guys, such a bad community mentality... If you put something to sel it's because you wanna get rid of it, so share the love!

      I've been playing for 2 years and I vendor hop a lot just to get rid my max caps. So from my observation, it's not just the high levels. How people price their stuff is based on 2 things:
      1. They're dumb and greedy
      2. They dont know any better for the value or rarerity (This is why I said its not just high levels. Ive seen A LOT of level 100-300 pricing gears and trash plans up to the ten of thousands, but Im guessing they just dont know any better)
      Took me quite some time to learn rarity and value of things through playing the game itself and reading a lot of reddit's comment and I can only hope more high levels use their common sense to price their stuff because it's more embarrassing for us to overprice things

      @@takewhataway Yes sure some low/mid levels also have crazy prices but my exp. is the % is higher for higher lvs.
      But I agree, it takes time and some guessing to evaluate prices. But everyone after lv500 should have no trouble ;)

      @takewhataway 9 месяцев назад

      @@seccosec I agree. If players have reached level 500 (and not by doing west tek all the time), they should know better. Its quite some time to learn.
      You know, im gonna start making notes about who does this overpricing stuff. So I can know for sure. Like 20k - 40k for stupid things lol im making up new stuff to do in the game because im almost running out of it. Most of the robot/world challenges to the badges, ive done it. So why not

    I sell canned dog food for 50 each , someone always buys it during the daily challenge is to eat it ( usually they forget to change quantity and buy 40 or more at 50 caps each)😂😂

    This is a good suggestion video. Very reasonable. Although personally I dont mind buying scrips weapons up to 300caps. Ive been playing for 2 years and I think even though its awesome that some players like to boast about them selling everything 5-10caps and that's their rights. But sometimes pricing stuff right is part of the fun itself. It also gives meaning to how difficult or rare to get the item itself. Btw, why arent you talking about the plans? too complicated?😄 You missed flux too. Ive seen the good range is 200 to 500, same with serum I guess.

    • @FilthEffect

      I pay 1k or under for scrip, as do most end game players. Providing it's 3 star and not a half decent roll. I leave that for new players to buy and use.

    • @takewhataway
      @takewhataway 9 месяцев назад

      @@FilthEffect yep, I pay attention to the weapon and legendary. If its good and its cheap, but im not interested, I leave it for other players that are probably looking for it. For me, Having more knowledge about this game only makes me wanna help noobs instead of hogging everything

    Fed76 is NOT a great way to price in my opinion. I’ve seen too many times where the prices they say are usually lower than it should be 🤷🏼‍♂️
