Beautiful!!! Thank You Barbara Lewis!!! Love how you sing with such feeling! Your singing, the backing vocals, the musicians --- all of you are awesome, and these are unforgettable songs❣
On this day in 1965 {September 11th} "Make Me your Baby" by Barbara Lewis entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #11 and spent 12 weeks on the Top 100... It was her second straight record to peak at #11 and both had 'Baby' in the title; "Baby I'm Your" would also reached #11 and stay on the Top 100 for 14 weeks... Ms. Lewis will celebrate her 71st birthday in five months on February 9th... {See the 5th post below}...
In Denver, on 950 KIMN , both songs cracked the top 10, & " Baby I'm Yours" hit at # 4. Both are all-time " Cruisin with my Baby" classics. It was impossible to not put your arm around your girl, & the 2 of you, sing-along to the glorious Miss Barbara Lewis. I was 18, turned 19, in that summer of '65. Was music ever better ? I don't believe so. The sheer number of classics from that year--& that summer alone, are incredible; I know---I lived all of them. Music WAS my life. --------------------------------WolfSky9
Shindig, fall of 65. ---------------This folks, is singing like we'll not hear again. ----------I was 18 y/o, & all of life was ahead. -----------------------------WolfSky9, 72 y/o
A vastly underappreciated talent, she recorded a mountain a great material, much of it available on RUclips.

Barbara Lewis the pride and joy of Salem, and South Lyon Michigan. The best female voice to come out of Southeastern Lower Michigan.
