I ended up covering the complete interior. Doors sunroof firewall, fenders floors rear hatch, everything was covered that was possible. Used 7+ boxes of kilmat material, and the results were astonishing. I did not notice much improvement until the entire car was covered inside the interior. Once it was complete, the car retains heat in the winter much better and the road noise has all but disappeared. It was worth it. Lots of work but lots of fun having something to tinker with.
what all did you have to swap over my mechanic kept on the jdm turbo and now wants to swap my ejectors off my old 20x for some reason and did you keep on the jdm intake manifold
I swapped the manifold, sensors, headers, turbo, exhaust everything from my usdm unit to the jdm long block. I gutted the tgvs from the usdm one, next time, I would just swap sensors, leave the jdm manifold and tgvs on because they don't have butterfly valves, just leave the connectors un connected and delete codes in the tune. I had south bend re surface the clutch and flywheel. Group N engine and trans mounts while you're in there made a big difference! Injectors I would assume would be the same, I believe they're both yellow the jdm and usdm. A lot of 2.5 and 2.0 parts are the same, can swap manifolds and sensors from car to car, just have to make sure wiring harnesses match up. The jdm turbo requires a different (jdm) down pipe I don't believe the usdm down pipes will fit on a twin scroll turbo. I would leave the twin scroll and EL headers on next time, and use I wire to get the dual avcs to work !! I did not do this the last time but have heard you can rotate the avcs gears a tooth to the left and it makes up for not connecting the avcs just have to let the tuner know. I used shinji tuned, very thorough tuner.
@@kristopherketchum1902 i appreciate you time and feedback we stayed w the twinscroll setup we fixed the downpipe ordeal then will wire avcs myself w iwire kit

That rusty brake line in front of the rear passenger wheel, every single Legacy enthusiast feels your pain there 🤣

@@garrettwilliams1243 let me know how the Iwire kit goes ! I would love to see how it works for you, as I may do this in the future.
