Clint Black is one of the most underrated songwriters of all time..He just came out at the wrong time..Right when Garth did..

Actually he came out at almost the same time as George Strait. Garth came out a bit later, but then over shadowed them
@@CountryDoublePlay George was out several years earlier, he has hits from the early 80s. Clint was part of what they called the Class of '89. Clint, Garth, Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Vince Gill... Good year for country music.

Actually...He said when he wrote this song that he would NOT sing it with anyone else but his wife. Many interviews verify that!!
@@johnramsey3317 Correct. He told her that he wrote this song and was going to sing with another female singer. He tricked her into practicing it with him. When it came time to record it was when he told her he wrote it for her and would only sing it with her.

Clint and I went to high school together...little town of Katy. His brothers Brian and Kevin are very talented as well. Its great that Clint stuck to his morals! And their marriage is so strong...his momma taught them right!

I was a big Clint Black fan back in the early 90's. Even bought the tee shirt. ☺️ "I do" doesn't mean much to people anymore. That being said means God doesn't mean much to people anymore. When we say I do it's a commitment to you and Almighty God. We should be careful about making a promise to God and then not care about not keeping our word. Because the day will come when we stand before our maker and answer for the things we've done in our lives. Everyone will stand before Him and there's no getting around that.
