    Is it possible to save the set color temperature and brightness for the Smart Ceiling Light so that it can only be switched on and off using the normal wall toggle switch and the selected setting always starts again when it is switched on?

    • @homekitnews
      @homekitnews  7 месяцев назад

      Yes, you can set a default colour temperature and brightness for when power is restored to the light. However, it’s. Ot recommended to connect this with a standard light switch as once you cut power, it becomes offline, and therefore can’t be controlled by your smart home, phone, or automations.

    Can this be used with a regular wired switch and dimmer, IE can I wire it into our normal household switches?

    • @homekitnews
      @homekitnews  10 месяцев назад

      Hi, it won’t work with a standard dimmer or on/off switch. If you were to use this in place of a standard light fitting, you would have to replace the standard switch with a smart wireless button, and connect the wires for the switch to be permanently on, or put a cover over the switch it’s connected to, to stop people turning off the power. Without permanent power the light would essentially be offline every time you turned the power off. Yeelight made special switches that acted as regular switches that could also be changed to work as smart switches for lights like this, but they only released them in China.

    Hello. May 1 remote controller be paired to 2 ceiling light (for simultaneously use)? Thanks

    • @homekitnews
      @homekitnews  Год назад +1

      Hi, no it’s not possible, however, with a simple automation, you can get both lights to turn on or off simultaneously; when one is controlled by the remote, the other follows. This would only work for basics, but if you’re using HomeKit, it may also be possible to group them, so they act as one.

      This was purchased in Taiwan, and is visible when set to the Taiwan server, but as it’s available in a few different territories, you should be able to add it to your region, if it’s for sale there. Will this LED provide enough Light for a 33m2 living room?

    • @homekitnews
      @homekitnews  3 года назад +2

      Hi, this lamp is listed as only suitable for 15 to 25m2, so it probably wouldn't be quite enough for your living room. Having said that, if you have a light fitting capable of taking three 800lm bulbs, and it's bright enough, then this lamp should be fine, at 2100lm (cool white).

    • @homekitnews
      @homekitnews  3 года назад +1

      You can turn it off via a standard wall switch, but it would lose its connection to your WiFi network at that point, so any attempt to control it remotely, or via automations would fail until power is restored.
