For instance, there's no more Brand identity. Their logo went from colorful to bland. The menus are almost depressing. The music (or lack thereof) sucks. And as you mentioned, the god awful black box upgrade screen is so ugly and boring. Also i feel as if the chase for realistic graphics have also made the tracks more drab as well. Sunset Peninsula, the newest track, used to have a bunch of Orange and Yellow and Red accents everywhere, because that was the theme of the track: the sunset. So why is it all blue and drab and boring now? The weird thick haze filter over the whole game doesn't help either. And the car list needs a drastic change. My favourite thing is thing games was just leveling cars finding all kinds of new music to listen on Spotify. I found some of favourite songs of all time just lapping my favourite cars to level 50.
I think the story progression, or even single player content, is lacking for many modern games nowdays is because it's less important in the modern ages of gaming. Nowadays I feel like most people just prefer to play games online with other people rather than play single player, which may lead to game devs spending less time on making the single player content and focus more on other aspects, especially online with thee types of games I remember my brother commented 'The game is cool and all, but what do you do after you finished the story?' when I got a new single player game back in the day, and I think this might be a good reason as to why single player content in newer games just feels lacking to the old ones(I didn't play old games so I can't speak of experience so this is just how I feel when I heard people talking about this. That being said, it would be very cool to see Forza to have more refined story progression. Good single player content is important for a game, especially since doing online all the time is not ideal. And apart from that everything else about FM I do agree with you. I have no idea why The UI is like that, especially in almost all previous Forza titles we always have a nice looking garage as the background when we do car customization. I do think FM is slowly getting better and heading in the right direction. It reminds me of FH5's first year where the game is lacking in update content and having lots of bugs, but then the game completely had massive quality updates since Rally Expansion and now it's nowhere near as bad as it's first year. I hope FM would be like that as well and make some sort of a comeback in the future.
9:05 personally I want the devs to take inspiration from Ferraris car configurator and make it so the car is on the track that the company originated from e.g. a Bugatti Chiron on Le Mans, a Mustang on Laguna Seca etc. or they can take it a step further and let you choose the race track
Honestly, the bigger problem than the statistics of my online races is that the rating and matching system doesn't work. Been rated 4999 since November right after release, still get matched with guys 6-8 seconds a lap slower. Almost everyone i know it's rated 4999 or close whether they are the esports guys 1 second a lap faster than me or guys 2 seconds a lap slower than me. Matching on the go just doesn't work and the trading system is easy too generous. 4999 shouldn't even be practically possible (only theoretical)
Deduction: Forza has gotten better since its realease, there is still more to come and perhaps things like drag racing and hopefully any other minigames like Tag or king. I would love to see the Test Track return as well as some of the Top Gear gear things, including the Top Gear test track I missed the old Top gear 1vs Stig and other things little showcases like that. I would also like to see the Auction House make a return as FM7 is the only one,
@MegaExCaliber Good point, just curious which has better driving mechanics, car building/customization, career mode, and meaningful player progression in an open world.
. I do agree with u. I miss the progression we used to get with starting at low power cars. I really miss that.was finally able to upgrade from the xbox one x to xbox series x last month . I really enjoy this new forza. I played abd enjoyed both horizon and motorsport series. It was such a nice visual and fps upgrade. My all time favorites was forza motorsport 2 ,4,6 and forza horizon 1 2 and 5.
I always had so much fun with FM in general, I remember back o fm3 that I used to have my friends around, so we could play on split screen in very slow cars on a track that I don’t remember the name, but it was really small and we used to have a blast. Playing the campaign on my own was really nice too, with a lot of content and I remember having that same felling with fh7, but with really nice graphics, and I was genuinely hyped with fm(8?), but damn, this game disappointed me so badly. I think they are going on the right direction, but they might take another 2 years to have a full game, and by then, if the game is not a 12 out of 10, I don’t think anyone(a good amount of people to make the game worth maintaining servers) will still be playing. But they can still save the game
I have all the top race games on ps5 and Xbox, I agree motorsport for me is at the top for most realistic handling, they just need to catchup with certain elements of the game but in general I’m still playing it one year later . It reallly is great for realistic handling on the wheel
After revisiting FM4 recently I can confirm that the AI was so much better in that game. I was managing to race 3 wide down straights only to have to back out myself. If I took a bad line the AI would divebomb down the inside. And most importantly, I could overtake competitively without being pit maneuvered. Hugely better compared to the AI in the newer Motorsports
I'm not an online player, rather a off-line Career mode player! Atm I'm still enjoying FM7 Career mode better than this! Hoping they can make the Off-line Solo Career better? 🙏
Forza Motorsport is definetely better than it was at launch. If they keep improving the game and adding more content, I might consider buying it if it goes on sale again. I really enjoy sim racers and I'm tired of playing Assetto Corsa.
I pretty much play the game for thr monthly single player championships. I enjoy doing them but not enough to do much of the other normal single player championships. Don't have much time to play multiplayer but when I have it has been fun. Good to have the drifting back. Not fussed about drag racing. I'll stick to the game. Loved all the other forzas. The main thing making me stick with this one is the physics. So much better than fm5-7 which were horrible in my opinion
It took them a long while, but in their defence, trying to make something super realistic that everyone can compare is super hard, even you compared it to Horizon and iRacing, that's hard to go up against, so i think they got the baseline of what they want down and are now inching to the other important stuff. That's just my take, correct me in any way you want, Nick, I wouldn't mind a small banter back and forth with you, someone that's actually played it
Maybe if they get rid of the FOMO, get a better penalty system, get a better career mode i would buy. Right now, no. This race in the background alone has too many problems with the penalty system.
What really irritates me the most is if I spend more than 2 minutes looking for a paintjob the game crashes and sends me to the dashboard!..since day one. Still haven't fixed it.
This game is so good now... still has many issues... but man... if they would release it right now in this condition they would prevent so much image damage to the game it got one year ago beeing released in a desolate state from 2023.
No because it still has all the usual forza issues Server issues Bad looking ui Terrible balance Flawed pi system Online system that fragments the play base reduces choice and increases wait time FOMO items not being added back The devs never checking if cars are even viable for online play as loads of them are crippled due to the pi systems and upgrades No story mode No soundtrack 400+ removed cars from fm7 some of them have been drip fed back in the game only to be removed again Lack of tracks Terrible Ai Horizon clearly gets all the attention and for some reason keeps getting race cars added that aren’t added to motorsport
We need some F1 cars & also cars that aren’t in other games. Cars like the 330Ci or the ZHP e46. We’re missing the 4door e90 M3 and the 4 door 335i in general.
nah this game is a gem in the genre the gameplay is the best in the market. gameplay will always be above any points you were trying crap on for the sake of a ten minute video
They have the best radar by a mile. Easy drop in and drop out racing. Rammers and unpredictable players are the most entertaining part. It's not about winning, but having a good time.
I have been playing Forza since the OG motorsports title in like 2004 and the new one is the only one I have ever just deleted. I catch myself experiencing fomo sometimes and download the game again just to be disappointed all over again. I might be an outliner here but I prefer to play the game alone and pretend I am the best driver in the world with progressing through a career mode. Its that immersion that I crave in a game and this game does absolutely nothing for me. I get they wanted to capture the hardcore gamers that want to compete online every moment they are on but they completely abandoned the casual gamer on this title for that. On another note I spend hours customizing and painting vehicles and I want to this with race cars but its impossible with the small things this title wont let you do. Just let me spin the car when I am adding parts
I just finished the NASCAR series in the career mode. Was this just added within the past month since this video? Yes stats are a huge requirement. Not even a leaderboard is there? I agree, start 24th in an AI race and by the time you get to 3rd there’s a ten second gap to the top two. Although sometimes that’s because the idiot in 3rd wants to brake check the entire field behind him. Just started playing F8 but I’m kinda missing the authenticity of F7.
Is FM23 good now? No. Not even close. You would be more correct to claim that 2022 is a meh year than FM23 being a "good" game. Firstly, they fixed ONE of the core problems that this game has. Way to to go! 1 down, 50 left to go! The pricing. It's more shit than a fresh steamer in the morning. Nothing is "expensive" expensive and having 1 million cr doesn't feel like you have some more to go. The main progression. Is awful. I have played every fm title brom FM2 to FM7 (besides FM5) and I can tell to make a fm single player *OFFLINE* campaign, you need these aspects: 1. Starting off in low end cars. • FM6 did slightly break this rule with C class and B class cars as starters but it worked well. • FM7 Actually lost it's marbles with the abillity to start off in *retro supercars* as a possible "starter" car. • FM8 does try to keep up with FM6 but fails massively. You only get 3 cars instead of 6-8 and they are quite boring overall. 2. Progressing from eco-boxes to sports cars and performance models to super cars and race cars. • FM6 does this transfer by giving the player their own decision to choose hypercars or race cars. • FM7 constantly provides a mix of road cars and race cars throughout the career mode. • FM8 copied most of FM7s work and made it braindead. 3. Going from high end supercars and hypercars to the fastest race cars of all time. • FM6 dedicates most of series 4 and the entirety of series 5 for race cars, past and (then) present. • As I already mentioned, FM7 provides a mix of road cars and race cars. As the road cars go faster, the race cars go faster too. • FM8... Doesn't... Do race car events in it's career mode. Being a pseudo forza horizon, minus the freeroam. The updates in FM8 do not "fix" the game. No matter how many band aids you throw on the injury, the injury will still hurt. No matter how many new cars you add, the lack of forza motorsport DNA is still there. And I feel really sorry for you. Horizon 6 will most likely be a cash grab made for kids and motorsport 8 seems to have gone into the loss of identity path. Meanwhile, every other non-forza racing game on the market is thriving with motorfest getting a new island in november, unbound having a whole update around the police, GT7 is doing what FM8 should be doing (take notes microsoft) and here you are, either riding on the forza franchise's meat or doing some "challenge" in beamng. What happened to saying "hey, this is shit." "This update is bad." "Why are they turning our beloved franchise into a cash cow." What happened to being honest instead of clearly lying infront of the camera? Are you sure you don't have a suitcase full of the green somewhere, nick?
I'm in the same boat been playing since FM2 expect FM5 and for me the the progression in FM2 FM3 FM4 was my favourite of all time and even the stock game customization was half decent compared to this game and also for me to make FM8 so much better we would need the FM4 menus and then the track list of FM7 and FM4 and FM7/FH5/FH4 car list for me to really get any sort of enjoyment from the game as right now I have to grind 40+ minutes to even get any money for car upgrades and also for me the online is the biggest let down
FM8 is far from perfect, but compared to its only real simcade competitor in Gran Turismo 7, I think it’s far better. Not really saying much as Gran Turismo 7 has been a big letdown as well, but I think FM8 has aged a lot better than Gran Turismo 7.
@@Gonzo0624gt7 is way better than fm23 you are not fooling anyone here with that bs, their is no racing game released thats a bigger dissapointment than fm 23, But given this is a forza biased channel i am not supriced people defending it.
@@andreasmoller9798 as someone who has played every Gran Turismo game since 4, and over 300 hours on GT7, I think my opinion is not biased at all. But please explain to me what GT7 does better than FM8.
For me I tried to give this a fair go but I couldn't get past it being a really hard grind to get upgrades and money. The other isssues for me is the online you can't just jump into a random lobby for stuff like drifting and also I feel they game feels lacking maps aswell I really want the airfield back. My other is the car divisions I feel like the gt divison doesn't work well for me as I really would love to only race say the v8 supercars but I can't or just gt3 wish we could choose what cars we race against
A lot of those problems are fixed now, and there's way more updates coming. They removed the grind, opened up the tuning, fixed the matchmaking, improved the penalty (still needs work tho), added a much better radar that can be placed anywhere on the screen, improved the graphics, improved the car audio, added drifting, added new cars, new tracks...etc!.....You didn't touch the game in months, did you?
@@TooToo246 I was playing the game within the last 2 days I feel the grind is there as I barely make 10 to 20k per 10 laps which bores me really badly to need to play for 2 to 3 hours to get a car upgrade properly the car points system still pisses me off as I do not know how much money it is going to cost me in cash as I do not want to grind a car how to turn it into a drift car that's why I feel this game is so annoying to play
I have a lot of issues with this game. drift update was good but still lots of issues. 1. Matchmaking isn't good. people are lapping many many seconds ahead or behind me in quali and that is exacerbated in the race. 2. career mode as mentioned is absolutely awful. no progression, no story, no working towards an end goal, no point in doing it except for the cars and is extremely grindy, doing like 20 races for one car that are boring is not fun at all. 3. track choice being far worse than before. 4. graphically still looks worse in a lot of times than fh5. 5. upgrading a car is still terrible , UI as mentioned is terrible and also the seeming lack of upgrades compared to fh5. 6. a lot of fh5 cars not in FM still. 882 cars in fh5 as of now, probably low 800 when fm launched. 600 cars, considering how many racing cars there are in FM right now is simply not good. so many of my favourite cars in fh5 i can't use in FM. 7. getting a design is very hard to do with current UI. 8. this is one of my biggest issues, the CR value of cars. a lot of them are hideously inaccurate both extremely over priced and under priced. the mustang gt costs a ridiculous 91,000 CR. the game needs a complete redoing of cars CR value in the autoshow. just give the cars their approx value is USD as that is the big currency. fh5 does it quite well for autoshow cars, not on the cheap side but definitely on the expensive cars. its weird and annoying and makes it not realistic. fix credit payouts if you need to balance it. rant over but i really want this game to be good as i want to play it as the idea of a simcade track-racing game with a few other modes with career and multiplayer is my dream game and FM could have delivered but fell short massively
I mean, yes and no? Yes,when Forza works, it works well, multiclass racing is fun, so is drifting, and when you find the one car and track that clicks, it's fantastic fun. Psst, it's not the Ring, folks... But 95% of Forza is just dull and miserable though. Even though I'm having a lot of fun with the Mid Engine tour which I finished up before it expired, even though the Mustang tour is a ton of fun....I feel like the problem is the car and track selection we got.To me, Sunset highlights this and I don't know if it's intentional, but Sunset is a lot of fun to drive, compared to real tracks we got in every other racing game and sim. Sunset Valley I'd argue is one of the most fun tracks out there.Mugello is as ever a blast to drive around in, and yet you got utter snoozefest tracks. Same for the cars.
If forza motorsport had a decent radio I mean I don't mind hardcore racing but it would be nice and if forza was like mixed in with grand tursmo with tons of cars and it's cool to start from scratch and then move on to racing and yes career mode is a bit lacking and if decent weather was in the game like fog and snow and thunderstorms like project gotham racing did but let's see if a racing game will ever do this plus cars need good customization I do see it lacks that but this is my dream game
Almost everything from forza Motorsport has felt garbage to me except the feeling of the game on wheel, it actually feels really good to me. I haven’t played in a year but just redownload it to try the s650 rtr (since they broke fh5 on wheel to and now I can’t bind my clutch and handbrake to be able to drift) and just solo drifting I’m having a lot of fun on it but yea all other racing aspects of the game just sucks. I miss nascar also, I’d love to race a camry or something with these wheel feelings
My big problem with new games is that they are made to sell i mean yes they should but the magic has gone take FM4 and FM8 we need that back and i guarantee that game will fly off the shelves
Have a legitimate question I'm concerned and confused on Forza horizon 5 all of the music stations are gone except for one anybody know why that is and how can you fix it haven't touched anything in the settings as far as I know
Its litaraly the only single sim apart GT7 whre you srive so may cars an deven tune then as you wish ans still has very nice sim phycis in general. Thats why I like it) Ofc iracing is much more realistic, especcialy in details but it also much more hardcore overall, so if you work like 5/2 and don't have ebough time time these games are best imho to have less stress ans more "gaming"fun while still inprove skills.

One thing ive always questioned is WHY TF CANT WE MOVE THE CAMERA WHEN MODDING OUR CARS???
I think the story progression, or even single player content, is lacking for many modern games nowdays is because it's less important in the modern ages of gaming. Nowadays I feel like most people just prefer to play games online with other people rather than play single player, which may lead to game devs spending less time on making the single player content and focus more on other aspects, especially online with thee types of games
I remember my brother commented 'The game is cool and all, but what do you do after you finished the story?' when I got a new single player game back in the day, and I think this might be a good reason as to why single player content in newer games just feels lacking to the old ones(I didn't play old games so I can't speak of experience so this is just how I feel when I heard people talking about this.
You still forgot to check the Ferrari 458 rear wing after the most recent update
the "fixed" it in the previous update...
oh yeah that’s right😅
@@AR12Gaming that was one hell of a "fix" and they removed our traditions, do our ways mean nothing to the devs anymore?
@@AR12GamingMake it tradition to check the Ferrari 458 rear wing each update.
@@SolaricSage116I agree
9:05 personally I want the devs to take inspiration from Ferraris car configurator and make it so the car is on the track that the company originated from e.g. a Bugatti Chiron on Le Mans, a Mustang on Laguna Seca etc. or they can take it a step further and let you choose the race track
We still haven't gotten the split screen multiplayer in Forza Motorsport
They need splitscreen again. I want my little brother to experience it
We're on the road to fm getting to the state the developers originally intended it to be, but we've got to be patient
The handling is the best part of the game, the only thing keeping me going with it
Honestly, the bigger problem than the statistics of my online races is that the rating and matching system doesn't work.
0:46 “Let me explain” Nick definitely got that sentence from Coby Explanes’ intro phrase haha 😅
The one thing i miss the most is to queue the car class i want in multiplayer instead of having to only choose between 2.
I would also like to see the Auction House make a return as FM7 is the only one,
It's worth playing over Forza Horizon 5?
@Sevatar_VIIIth Not initially, but it's at least another game to play if FH5 gets boring.
@MegaExCaliber Good point, just curious which has better driving mechanics, car building/customization, career mode, and meaningful player progression in an open world.
@Sevatar_VIIIth FH5 most certainly, but the issue with that game is that it's too fast and the devs add in pointless cars that no one asked for.
First started went built from the ground up to now going into the right direction... What a game
My all time favorites was forza motorsport 2 ,4,6 and forza horizon 1 2 and 5.
totally agree with you on career mode. even forza 7 had a tonne of stuff in career mode. id love to find a race where i can use my merc amg one
My favourite part of this video is when Nick put that meisi5014 guy in a wall😇🥰
was listening to Nick's explanation while watching him beating down Meisi5014 in the race!
But they can still save the game
seein melsi go from pole to 12th really did put a smile on my face
My guy Meisi doing everything he could to keep up AND keep you behind him, I cant feel bad for that move at all
I'm not an online player, rather a off-line Career mode player!

For $70.00 it doesn't have VR or support the same for TrackIR5. Can we adjust our seat to make up for it? How's the FFB for our higher end sim rigs?
Need to play this more. Fh5 content is so dry now. Been asking you to do off-road drag races at VIR’s long off-road straight
BRING BACK THE "VOTE TO KICK" from online lobby !!!!!!!!!
This game is so good now... still has many issues... but man... if they would release it right now in this condition they would prevent so much image damage to the game it got one year ago beeing released in a desolate state from 2023.
No because it still has all the usual forza issues
Server issues
Bad looking ui
Terrible balance
Flawed pi system
Online system that fragments the play base reduces choice and increases wait time
FOMO items not being added back
The devs never checking if cars are even viable for online play as loads of them are crippled due to the pi systems and upgrades
No story mode
No soundtrack
400+ removed cars from fm7 some of them have been drip fed back in the game only to be removed again
Lack of tracks
Terrible Ai
Horizon clearly gets all the attention and for some reason keeps getting race cars added that aren’t added to motorsport
I want my Sesto, louder hood and driver cam audio, better lighting and a movable cam in upgrades
i find it hilarious how you asked about nascar in this video then like a week later they announced an update adding nascar stuff
We need some F1 cars & also cars that aren’t in other games. Cars like the 330Ci or the ZHP e46. We’re missing the 4door e90 M3 and the 4 door 335i in general.
It’s good now but it should have been so at launch . Hoping audio and more content is worthwhile
It’s definitely not better then other games but it’s still a really fun racing game for us console boys
nah this game is a gem in the genre the gameplay is the best in the market. gameplay will always be above any points you were trying crap on for the sake of a ten minute video
They have the best radar by a mile. Easy drop in and drop out racing. Rammers and unpredictable players are the most entertaining part. It's not about winning, but having a good time.
I personally like the background scenery of the tracks. It reminds me of GRID
I mostly play carrer mode, i like casual... chill... driving, no hard feelings
when the offline mode finally comes, I'll play the game
Hey, how are the top people obtaining so much speed with a Camaro in this weeks VIP Rivals challenge?
Amazingly I can launch it now on my pc. I think the trick was I had to open the Xbox app and then logout and log back in.
Nick and keep up the good work real true and I good the video
I wish Forza did the driving mechanics for GTA
It’s always been good it’s just that we were expecting it to be great/amazing
horrible launch, but them sticking to it and working on fixing/improving the game is commendable. Its not great, but credit where credit is due
commendable lol
I just finished the NASCAR series in the career mode.
Was this just added within the past month since this video?
Yes stats are a huge requirement.
Not even a leaderboard is there?
I agree, start 24th in an AI race and by the time you get to 3rd there’s a ten second gap to the top two. Although sometimes that’s because the idiot in 3rd wants to brake check the entire field behind him.
Just started playing F8 but I’m kinda missing the authenticity of F7.
I have never been this early for a video in my life.
I wish they bring back auction house and car clubs and alot of missing career mode and I miss fake drivers names in forza motorsport and horizon
There's talk regarding NASCAR. How many tracks are there to realistically go with NASCAR?
Is FM23 good now? No. Not even close. You would be more correct to claim that 2022 is a meh year than FM23 being a "good" game.
Firstly, they fixed ONE of the core problems that this game has. Way to to go! 1 down, 50 left to go!
The pricing. It's more shit than a fresh steamer in the morning. Nothing is "expensive" expensive and having 1 million cr doesn't feel like you have some more to go.
The main progression. Is awful. I have played every fm title brom FM2 to FM7 (besides FM5) and I can tell to make a fm single player *OFFLINE* campaign, you need these aspects:
Lol o ain’t reading allat. FM is a sold game 👍
@@Gonzo0624gt7 is way better than fm23 you are not fooling anyone here with that bs, their is no racing game released thats a bigger dissapointment than fm 23,
But given this is a forza biased channel i am not supriced people defending it.
Feels like there are no good racing games right now.
Thoughts on drifting in forza motorsport? Im currently 593 in the world rank leader board for Lime Rock full
The drifting is top tier
Forza Motorsport revising is so cool. ❤
I'd play it if it didn't have the godawful online only DRM and lie about their "Built from the ground up" marketing.
My problem is this. Penalty are still broke. Ai is fine. Too grindy still. It takes so long to get credits. Add more credits per race.
My man P1rArkinha made that❤
the singleplayer career mode needs more content instead of trying to get you with the fomo if you don't do the "featured career" mode
the only thing I need in this game is drift, king and infected hoppers to come back😢😢
I mean, yes and no?
No way it's been a year since Forza motorsport!?!? Bro I thought like 4 months or something

Satisfying af!
la próxima podrías subirle un poco mas el volumen al juego? todavía puedo escucharte hablar
There’s a drag strip that you could see in the new sunset track but u can’t use it
Have a legitimate question I'm concerned and confused on Forza horizon 5 all of the music stations are gone except for one anybody know why that is and how can you fix it haven't touched anything in the settings as far as I know
Its litaraly the only single sim apart GT7 whre you srive so may cars an deven tune then as you wish ans still has very nice sim phycis in general. Thats why I like it) Ofc iracing is much more realistic, especcialy in details but it also much more hardcore overall, so if you work like 5/2 and don't have ebough time time these games are best imho to have less stress ans more "gaming"fun while still inprove skills.
If the RUclips channel Honest Game Trailers did an honest trailer for Forza Motorsport, what would it be like?
