🤯🤯 wow! NICE DUNK🏀🏀😊
Thanks man. I used to be able to 2 hand it flat footed, but i'm old now LOL
I really appreciate the real world approach you guys took on this. You're right , most how to's do go from instruction then fade away then next scene -part is installed with no explanation as to the full process.
Thanks man, that is what we are trying to achieve at least.
Thats bad ass that u can dunk a ball. I wish I could, even though I was able to touch the rim when I was in my 20's at 5'6". Excellent video on the dash.
Thanks buddy! I've got almost a foot on you so that helps a TON, and that's really impressive that you got up that high in your 20;s.
I've been pick up on the split plug instead of pushing down. This is the video we need Matt. Nice dunk
Always hopes it helps some people. You caught that did you! LOL, I used to have a bit of game a long time ago too hah hah.
Awesome details, I was there on Monday and with Matt’s help I’m pretty sure this is where we are at with my a/c. Have a blockage of some sort at the evaporator, so it looks like I have a dash pull in my future also. I opened the system and will try to flush it 1st but I bet that won’t work. This is necessary here in the south if your going to drive this car around with any regularity during the summer. Matt said this was going to be a good detail vid, and he was right, thx 😊 y’all.
Oh man, well I hope the flush will do it, and it's certainly worth trying that first. Thanks, we tried to be ver comprehensive in this one. Oh and YES A/C is a MUST!
Oh I've had lots of experience with removing the gauge cluster. I remember going back up with the steering column you have to be very careful and make sure any hot wire does not get pinched up against metal. Good thing I caught it. Almost burned down my car. But it is a learning process. Take your time and be very careful.
Oh man that would've been scary! I'm glad that didn't happen.
I think it would be a pretty good idea to disconnect the battery on a job like this. 😉
Sam Scornaienchi it’s called a learning experience.
Very well detailed.
Glad it helped.
Not all hero's wear capes 👏
LOL, thanks.
Wow - a lot of good info packed in there. I did the shortcut dash pull once when I changed a heater core in my last foxbody. Luckily nothing broke!
Yeah too much to cover in one video with that plus me taking it out. This was my first time removing one so you'll see how it goes next video.
Awesome video. Big hands make this a hard task. Knowing exactly how the different components disconnect makes the job much easier. Thanks for the info.
Agreed. Tiff was helping out again recently (in an upcoming video) and her smaller hands made it much much easier to do some of these tasks.
Thanks , very helpful. I used to do this stuff all the time
That's cool and you're welcome!
I wish gear head 704 can come over and help me out
lol, I'd probably slow you down
Awesome mang🤘
Thanks mang!
Thanks a lot for doing this kind of videos right now im full restoring my foxbody this Is the exactly video i was looking for to do the dashboard on my foxbody... Greetings from México
Glad it could help
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. That Matt at Fox Mustang Restoration knows something. Understatement of the year. He knows a lot! ;-)
Oh, and I just saw at the end of the video that you Turned the big "40" on Tuesday. Happy Birthday buddy!!! 🎈🎈🎈🎈
Also nice dunk! I am 6'2" and I used to be able to grab the rim and pop it but never dunk. Maybe I could have dunked a ping pong ball. LOL.
I too am too old now and a "few" pounds heavier.
Thanks, you know what is funny is I remember when I was about 6'2" and I would try and dunk Ping Pong balls, then it was tennis balls LOL. Yeah Matt knows his stuff.
You don't have time to be dunking no basketball Bro. Lol😆 Get that Stang together. Great tips from that guy and good tip to get that heater core while you. Got the dash out 💪 Stang Life 🐎
LOL you're right Ant! Times a wasting! Yeah we are going to do the heater core and evaporator for sure.
Liked the electrical connector remover tool got to get one for my collection looks like you still have game
A tiny bit Robert a tiny bit LOL
I guess Matt has pulled a dash or two in his day lol. Great video! Great info!
You got that right!
His knowledge is priceless!! Happy birthday!!
Agreed. Thanks Charlie, I appreciate it.
@@GearHead704 very welcome
AWSOME tips & tricks I owned 90gt great see how to this because there's a lot to doing thanks 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
No problem 👍
Loved It!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY !
Thanks man!
Great video brother, pulling the dash is the worst
Thanks man. Yeah that's what i'm finding. Great seeing you drive around in that Turbo Vette on insta! Looked like a blast.
Happy belated bday man! And I’d hope you could still dunk.... your like 7 ft tall. Lol good info on the dash tips. I honestly didn’t know about the split plug ends you push down. Good to know!
😂 true enough! Thanks for the bday wishes
Happy birthday Matt
Thanks Jamey, I appreciate that!
Great vid and I need that electronic clip removal tool. I was wondering after 17 minutes of talking if there was going to be some doing :). Interested in the process to restore the plastics and foam. Can’t wait.
LOL, yeah there was doing for me, but It would've made the video over 30 minutes. Other part drops today at five. Yeah we are going to cover restoring all that stuff as well. Thanks buddy.
The dashboard is one of my least favorite things to work on!! ;-)
I can see why now LOL. There is a lot to it.
Wow great how to video
Thank you! Glad you liked it
Pulling the dash, what a wonderful thing to do! Lol
Hah hah well it had to be done, you'll get to see how fast I can do it next vid.
Matt---tell Matt Thank You SO Much for going thru the Detailed "How To Process" that so many others skip. They forget their *Roots* like TWO Others I won't mention. Did the 10.5 show up yet for Matt on the SSP?-----704 & Funky the Real Fox Channels.
Really appreciate that Lloyd, it's definitely something Matt and I both enjoy doing and he can help a lot of people. That GSP did finally leave last week and this next video will be the last vid it shows up in I believe
Looks like it’s complicated ! I would hate to take apart a S550
There's a lot to it for sure. I would also hate to take an S550 out LOL. Thanks bud.
Tell matt great video and happy belated birthday im turning 55 next month my self wooowee..i use to dunk lol great job..
Will do, and happy bday early! I doubt i'll still be able to dunk at 50 let alone 55 lol
Here again champ 👊🏾
Appreciate ya man! Hope you enjoyed that dunk goofball stuff at the end.
@@GearHead704 lol yea that was a good dunk for a 40 year old champ not bad👍🏽
Must be why my tabs at 7:31 were missing on my center console. Some idiot before me didn't take the time to remove it correctly. 🙄
I could have used that wire disconnect tool when I dropped my dash...them things are a P.I.T.A. to remove.
Thanks for sharing another informative video, love these DYI's 👍
Happy Birthday 🎉
Was that an 8 ft rim 🤔😂😂
Thanks buddy! Yeah i'm finding all kinds of things out with my car like that LOL. It sure looked like an 8 foot with this old guy jamming on it didn't it? 🤣
Happy Birthday Matt... what a pain trying to squeeze my hands behind the gauge cluster to unhook everything. Not a fun project. Nice dunk! Playing bball & working on the foxbody, what a day! Your making me jealous lol
Hah hah, well i'm jealous of you going to FT. I'm sure you had an awesome time down there. It looked like a BLAST
@@GearHead704 i had a great time. I needed to get out since everything was shut down for months. Part 2 i want to see a reverse dunk since your warmed up.
ROFL, not gonna happen
The push and pull tab info is gold to a fox owner
What is the name of that tool and where can i purchase it from
Electrical disconnect tool. I found it online here: www.tooldiscounter.com/product/lisle-electrical-disconnect-tool-lis13120?gclid=Cj0KCQjwuJz3BRDTARIsAMg-HxUE0yqyg0jmbDEddurCvjoWY19HGhuZeKpaBvJj4XmZgxnCBliNrRQaAtvoEALw_wcB
Happy Birthday again you old fart!!!! Welcome to the 40 club! 😂😂😂 have fun with the dash... Just did Christine's!👍👊😁
Nice, I figured you've done this a time or too. Yes i'm an old fart now LOL. Thanks Joe i'm happy to be be in the club. Well sort of lol
@@GearHead704 lol!😜😜👍👊
I may or may not have just put in a shifter the way he said not to 🤣🤣. Luckily the console didn’t crack. The dashboard on a foxbody is a beast to take out. I avoid it at all costs lol
🤣Yeah i'm learning how challenging it is! This car needed a lot of work, and my list keeps growing lol
Where is the tape on a GoPro? 😂 I didn’t know the split clips released like that, I guess that is why I have broke some. Thanks for the info Matt and Matt
It's hard to find, but if you ever use Go Pro Studio they tell you where the tape is.....🤣 Thanks buddy. Love your pics Harris took for you.
😂
You sound like Owen Wilson, Great video tho!
LOL, been a while since I heard that but I have heard it before.
Played basketball in high school too. I can’t dunk it now. Great video though.
I can't get off the ground like I used to that's for sure. Thanks man.
When will part 2 be available?
Tomorrow at 5pm eastern time
Hey, nice Dragon Ball shirt.
Thanks, my sister gave me that. I actually had to buy some bootleg VHS tapes way back in Japanese with subtitles because that stuff hadn't been released yet in the states.
@@GearHead704 Cool. I know, The dbz was considered too violent for kids. That is why it took a while to be released in the states, while the whole world enjoy the series on its original state, not a modified one like dragon ball z kai
Well i wish i watched this before i broke a few connectors lol il just black tape them for a secure commection
Where can I buy that terminal removal tool lol
Man it's helpful, I wish I knew! lol
@@GearHead704thank you so much for this detailed video ! Helping out a ton !
I halfway pulled my dash out and then thought to myself...”oh shit...what did I do!?!?!”
LOL, we'll I hope you got it back together ok
I think the rim was 9’6 ha ha
LOL, nah it was regulation. Regulation is 8' right? 🤣
Spread the legs on the dunk like MJ 😳😂. I had to like after that.
LOL, I should've! Thanks for watching until the end.
I have a 86 manual gt t-top and I need a dash, anyone has one for sale? I’m in Dallas.
Check FaceBook Marketplace
@@GearHead704 I did, 3 people tried to scam me.
Lol ...what was that a 9 foot goal?
LMAO, nah man it was regulation. I've still got a tiny bit of game LOL
People cry and cry about doing the heater core and pulling the dash in these cars and how you can cut this and that and hurry this and hurry that, if you have one of these cars and you can't take the time to do a heater core correctly just sell it to someone that really appreciates it,take your time, do it right, replace things behind there, re wrap the wiring, clean everything, do it right.
I did mine and i even sourced a oem heater core,a task that took me 4 months to find one but that cheap ass aluminum crap just wasn't gonna cut it,thing's not even the right size, ha ha ha, my Mustangs are not even show cars, they show their age but i sure enjoy working on them!!
I agree that's the way to do it.
Dover on foxcastmedia I think he changed a heat core I think it was less then a half hour!! Man ur boy Kevin builds I know he is young he wants to run a GT40 intake with a 1 inch spacer he cut his hood brace out cause he said his friends hood hit the intake there's no way it would hit then I never seen nobody put a brand new set of head lights in and not clean where the old headlights were but like I told him he isn't going to listen to what people tell him he is going to do what he wants!! So I unsubscribed from his channel I have a Trick Flow intake 1 inch spacer stock hood fine ! Now he's trying to find a roller I think he needs to find a job first people are sending him money & part's to help with what Matt gave him for the Vert ! But I don't know he is just a kid maybe when he gets a lil older in starts to understand u know people have other ways they do stuff then Matt does and it works for them I know Matt is a great mechanic but people do stuff differently other then him!! But good luck with the dashboard buddy!!
Hey James! I haven't checked out Kevin's last few videos so I have no idea on what he has been up to, but I will check them out. In all honesty I have no problem with someone unsubscribing from me (or anyone else on RUclips) if they don't enjoy the content. If you stay subscribed but don't watch RUclips notices that and it doesn't help your channel, also I want people who are subscribed to me be engaged and enjoy what i'm doing (or at least most of it). Yeah, everybody seems to do things differently, but as you know Matt is teaching me and i'm sharing his ways with you guys, or at least my interpretation of them! LOL. I do appreciate the support and hope you keep enjoying my content. Thanks.
@@GearHead704 I watch ur channel Matt I enjoy the videos in I know I wish I had some 1 like Matt helping me it's good to learn to do things the right way but u guys stay safe!!!
thank you!
Too much talking
