    I couldn't get the NPD windshield clips to install no matter what I did. After about two hours, I decided to compare them to the OEM clips from my 1991 notch. The NPD clips are very different; the shape and overall size is different, but most importantly, the "throat" part that clips around the stud is about 1-2 mm narrower than OEM. I cleaned up my rusty clips, painted them, and they popped right on. I took some images comparing the two, but cannot attach them. I looked online, and found some from Amazon and other manufacturers that look to be a close match. I followed your directions for prepping and painting the trim, and they came out great! Thanks! I am the original owner of this car and it has 199K miles, but I'm bringing it back.

    I agree. It looks funky having the front and rear moldings on and not the doors.

    A helpful tip use 00 steel wool and finish with 0000 steel wool to eliminate glass contaminated with road film/ overspray. Try on a old piece of glass finish up with auto glass cleaner. Hope you like the result, looks like new glass when finished.

      I've actually used this on the inside of rear glass to get off old Tint Film Glue and not damage the rear defrost lines! Good tip.

    Once Tiffany finishes sanding I think I'll have her do this to all the trim, I'm sure she won't mind the extra work 🤣

    • @TheInfamousProject
      @TheInfamousProject  2 года назад

      You can start with the top piece and go the other way as well just make absolute sure it's centered

    Have you every polished a windshield that was scratched ? I've heard it can be done on an old windshield with nice results instead of replacement .

    • @TheInfamousProject
      @TheInfamousProject  2 года назад +1

      Yes you can however there is a limit to the depth of scratches and pits the polishing can get out

    Great job as always ! I have a question for you . Do you know what color the interior windshield trim is on a 90 vert? Looks too be a grey ish but I'm being told it's black which I feel is incorrect. It definitely isn't the same as the black satin exterior windsheild trim. Thanks for any help
