Varejao well deserved this. In Greece he is the most hated person. In Fiba world cup tournament in 2006, while he was playing with the brazilian national team vs. Greece, he almost killed Nikos Zisis by hitting him on purpose with his elbow in Zisis face during a nonrational defense action. Zisis suffered from this, a triple fracture in his face and was not able to play anymore on the tournament. Although Greece won after that the semifinal game against the USA team, he definitely would have been a big help in the final game against Spain, which Greece lost. Varejao didn't apologize for almost 6 years, Zisis could have died from this injury or at least got blind. The only person who visited Zisis in the japanese hospital back then from the brazilian squad, was Barbosa, who apologized and prayed for him. Varejao well deserved this facial from Wade! I an pre olympic game in Caracas, 6 years later, Greece played again against Brazil. Varejao approached Zisis on the court, and said that he needs to speak to him. Zisis said, the only thing I want to know is, why did you do this to me? Varejao answered, he doesn't know why he did this, but he wants to get rid of this inside him. Zisis finally accepted his apology, and said the life goes on...

This is what most people that didn't follow the heat closely those years always seem to forget...06-09 Wade was the best guard in the league for that stint. The drop off was painful to watch for heat fans later on..but we remember
...For real, he carried the Heat to that chip in '06, should've won MVP in the '08-'09 season and was arguably the greatest defensive guard of all time on top of being one of the most exciting players to watch. Those niggling injuries killed him and considering what a humble team player he was, he was the last person in the league who'd deserve that struggle.
