They do not use 'in house movements' they source their materials from Switzerland. But it is Britain's best chance of a future In house completely British made watch. That will be Very Big News. Did you know that Britain was responsible for the production of more than half the watches bought in the world back in the 1800's! It wasn't until the 1900's that, that number drastically halved. Post war watch making efforts in Britain also failed and the Quartz Surge of the late 70's and early 80's completely destroyed Britain's Watch making companies. Britain couldn't compete with The Asian, American and Swiss Markets.

I think the Swiss the would argue otherwise about the watch industry. It's all subjective, of course. I'm sure we all have something that we maybe pay extra for, just for our own pleasure. Although watches aren't my materialistic extravagance, if I had the money, I would most certainly pay extra for a watch that I could wear for a lifetime.

Not just about telling the time. These are handmade watches by skilled watchmakers unlike the machines and the unfortunate people on pennies in the factories that make your phone.

    Bullshit.
Bremont is a marketing exercise, not a true watchmaker. They buy the movements from ETA and they are ready made and tested. They cost a watch manufacturer about £200 each. many watch companies use ETA movements, but don't go on as if a craftsman in a white coat is making it in your little factory.
Bremont make the cases and that's it.
A stainless steel watch with an ETA movement can be bought for about £,1,000 new. Bremont are charging way more.

You can try to justify these guys but common, they are bespoke watcher makers an industry that adds no real value. Its a industry where they make money charging for overpriced pieces of metal that tell time. Sounds useless to me.
