- This DIY project is about how to make a sliding stand for an angle grinder. A device that makes the angle grinder comfortable, safe, and more valuable. This device consists of 4 main parts that are combined together to produce this user-friendly cut-off saw with which you can cut wood, metal, Ceramic, or some other pieces precisely. I had a lot of old pipes and rebar to cut up and from what I read ruclips.net/user/postUgkxPDBfLu68o58Aw85O_J-zIFfjJARBhp-3 this would be the tool for the job. Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job.

Искры идут в верх , значит диск подрезает острую кромку заготовки наезжает на нее как на стамеску , значит будет крошиться и отрежет намного меньше заготок а это минус , искры должны лететь вниз .

U r right. Not everyone has a welding inverter. But when u r working on metals(metalworking), welding is unavoidable. By the way, I m not a pro welder. I learned it from internet specifically RUclips 😉.

yes, most of cut-off saws in market uses your idea,but i wanted use friction brake mechanism for fixed angle uses.

Yes of course,You just need to put it on the angle of 20 degrees(90-70). But for this diy I just show 90 and 45 degrees as perpendicular and miter cut.

i would have add a spring to the up and down motion of the handle so when you leave the handle it jumps up! my 2 cents
Most of the cut-off saws on the market uses your mechanism, but I preferred to use the Friction Brake mechanism for some fixed angle uses.

U must get all this material from work for free, this material would cost more than the darn grinder and would cost too much to make if it was bought as scraps.

Bearing welding is generally not principled unless the bearing is thick enough and the welding is done skillfully.

😂Приварил подшипник к профтрубе, прям рукодельник - но оно отвалится при первом использовании. Нет никаких возможностей регулировок ушм, если где то на стадии сборки не выдержал углы 90, так и будет криво резать. Короче много работы ради непойми чего
